“Me and Jay is kinda weird. Musically, I take friendship very serious. Me and Jay, sometimes people think we have falling outs. We don't have falling outs, it's that we don't communicate at the proper time.”

Ever since the camp of Timbaland let the flood gates open to The Blueprint III and leaked almost half of Jay Z's album, there has been heavy speculation as it pertains to the future of their friendship.

With history spanning back to “Hey Papi”, the two have been able to craft some masterpieces in the studio, but such a move couldn't have been possibly overlooked by Jigga. Look at all of his other relationships.

Finally speaking up to clear the air, however, Tmbo has assured all that there is no beef between himself and Jay and even added that the leak was most likely somebody trying to find a way to create a rift between the two for whatever particular reason.

Tim stated that a hacker gained access to the material for Jay and ended up leaking it out.

During an interview with MTV, the producer elaborated on the conspiracy theory against their friendship and feeling as though he had to take a step back from the whole situation.

“I felt like, ‘What in the world? Who is trying to sabotage our friendship?‘ That bothers me. I respect my friends, because I don't got a lot of them, and he's one of my friends in the music industry. I felt like, ‘I'll remove myself. If people wanna play us against each other, I'll bow out.' We talk about personal stuff. I don't want him to feel like he can't talk to me about certain things. We both said to [each other] one day, we know we don't need each other musically, but we are friends. I'm like, ‘I hope you realize that. But I want you to realize that me and you are like Dre and Snoop.' Sometimes I don't think he understands that. When we get together, we do make magic.”

He also spoke on his reaction once he realized that all of the cuts had actually been leaked and how he would never intentionally do anything to blackball Jay and his success.

"Me and Jay is kinda weird. Musically, I take friendship very serious. Me and Jay, sometimes people think we have falling outs. We don't have falling outs, it's that we don't communicate at the proper time. I take friendship very seriously. I wanna tell him how I might feel about a situation. The last time we talked, he understood how I felt. He saw my point with the Keri stuff being leaked out and everything. I had nothing to do with that. I would never do that to him. Nothing against his wishes. It bothered me so bad, I went on hiatus for a minute, because I would never disrespect his wishes. Like, 'I'm trying to do this with my album, please don't let that song get out or no leakage.' ... Four months later, the song is leaked. I felt so bad, because I would never want my friend to feel like we had some miscommunications."

The industry is made of frenemies that are behind you all the way, but can be the first to leave once a person falls. Business is business and the music industry might not always be fit for friendships to last.

Since the murder of Derrion Albert, many rappers have weighed in to say that action needs to be taken as the aggression in the African-American community has escalated.

It was reported earlier that Twista had made a more direct approach by visiting those that were friends of Albert.

With such a heavy influence in the community, it has been in the hands of rap artists to gear these young minds into the right direction and provide positive imagery to show that there is a way to enjoy life without having to resort to violence.

As a Chicago native, rapper Lupe Fiasco recently stepped up to the plate and put it out there that Hip-Hop should take some of the blame. By promoting such negativity, young listeners only act out what they embrace and the end result has been growing chaos.

Speaking with the Chicago radio station 107.5 WGCI, Fiasco opened up more on how rappers must take notice of what they say.

“Hip-Hop has to take some fault for that. Just in the fact that the amount of violence and the amount of negativity that's in Hip-Hop and the music, it attributes to so much that goes on, negatively, in the hood.”

He added that another overlying issue is the fact that positivity is not endorsed as heavily in outlets such as the radio. Oddly enough, people must not want to be lifted and told that there is a better way.

“It lacks entertainment value. It lacks a certain kind of hype around it. A certain “coolness” about it. So it doesn't fit on the radio.”

As a positive artist that has been able to rap tales outside of promoting drugs, sex, etc, the rapper also holds some weight on his own shoulders and feels that he should have had more presence.

“It's by example. I haven't been exercising my celebrity, in a sense, since I've been so laid back. I kinda feel like it's my fault because I should have been out there doing more. I have a message and a certain celebrity and certain popularity and I should be exercising that. Not saying that Rhyme ain't doing it. Not saying that Twista ain't doing it. It's just the more, the better.”

In related news, although Fiasco has been off the radar for some time, the “Cool” one has reemerged and has started leaving damage once again in Hip-Hop. With no mention on MTVs Hottest MCs List this year, Lupe used his gadget flow to get into grind mode with recent freestyles to show that he is still a factor.

“I knew I wasn't going to make it. I just use that as an excuse to go hard. Just to beat up on em a little bit. I knew I didn't have a lot of product out there, but I knew we were setting up to go through this whole Fall and then the top of next year. We're just gearing up, all that is starting now.”

With his recent performance, Remember the Smile: A Retrospective of Lupe Fiasco, the engines are pushing into 6th gear as the rapper continues to make a much needed return to the music industry.

Wale, the self proclaimed D.C. ambassador, is finally gearing up to release his debut album Attention Deficit. As previously reported the album was pushed back several times leading some to wonder if the project would ever hit store shelves.

Originally scheduled for a September release the album was pushed back to October and then November as he prepared to join Jay-Z and J. Cole on the ‘North American College Tour'.

Now as his final release date of November 10 quickly approaches, the man deemed by GQ magazine as “the greatest rapper since Jay-Z” is apparently the latest victim to leaks. According to Wale and his @Wale Twitter page, his Attention Deficit album has prematurely hit the net. He tweeted about his frustrations saying:

“F*CK this leakin records BULLSHYT...ok bye…. for the record, leaked records is pretty much standard now...it's just a BYATCH to wakeup hearin bout it…figadeal me?

Although obviously upset about the situation he tried to remain positive and reminded his 100,000 plus followers of the official album release date.

“11/10 11/10 11/10 I'm goin in (lil wayne voice)…… would it be cliché to say I feel I got the BEST album this year in Hip-Hop.....ok i won't say it…lol but u can 11/10. Ok I'm done #okbye "

Despite his impending issue with leaks, the D.C. lyricist is still on tour and will open up for Jay-Z with J.Cole tonight in Montreal, Canada.
