Disappointment is a feeling that many are forced to face, but persistence can always be the key to success.

After essentially being shut down on her request to Sade for a collaboration for his debut album Thank Me Later, Drake is still fighting to get the songstress for the future.

Although slightly deterred, the Canadian rapper stated that he might have been a little overzealous when he made the statement, but also believes that Sade isn't fully aware of his potential and will see it once he drops.

During an interview with MTV, the Young Money member talked more on his aspirations for that mash up.

“I don't think she really knows who I am, really, my genre of music. I put it out there. It was more of a hopeful thing. It was a very early stage where I was at when I said that I was hoping. One day. Maybe after this album comes out.”

By him making bold statements such as that, to Sade even, Drake is only serving to set himself up for even greater expectations once the project finally drops.

With his debut album The Beach Cruiser initially meant to drop back in 2006, a new year has created a new opportunity as the project is now set to be unleashed in 2010.

Giving fans a taste of what to expect, the rapper joins forced with Snoop Dogg to deliver the latest from the Left Coast.

Already in the process fo placing the finishing touches on The Beach Crusier, G. Malone has left his mark with hits featuring Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, T-Pain and others while being backed by Cash Money Records.

With major names such as this on his side, the wait might have been well worth it for Malone now that he finally has the greenlight to drop.

The warrant comes from Yuma County Superior Court judge Mark Wayne Reeves who issued the papers after Wayne failed to appear for a final trial management conference.

Ha?  Exactly…

Wayne is currently locked up in Rikers Island for the next eight months at least for criminal gun possession charges in New York so obviously he had a valid reason for not being there.

Wayne's attorney James Tilson had the same sentiments as he told the judge his client couldn't appear because he's serving a one-year jail sentence which started March 8^th.

The Arizona charges stem from a January 2008 arrest when police found cocaine, ecstasy and a handgun on his tour bus.

That damn tour bus…

After the search, Wayne was charged with one count each of possession of a narcotic drug for sale, possession of dangerous drugs, misconduct involving weapons and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.  He has plead not guilty to all the charges.

According to The Associated Press, Tilson said he has filed motions to have Lil Wayne's March 30^th trial date vacated, and asked the court that his client be allowed to appear in Yuma when he finishes his New York jail sentence. He also has asked that his bond remain the same.

"It does not appear that a trial will be occurring anytime within the next eight to 12 months," Tilson said.

But Yuma County prosecutor Deann Sandry said it was the state's position that Lil Wayne is now a convicted felon and that a bench warrant should be issued and his bond be increased to $150,000.

Talk about stupidity…

The RIAA made the announcement today that Rebirth is certified gold and vastly approaching platinum status.

The album previously hit No. 1 on Billboard's Rap Album chart and reached No. 4 on Billboard's R&B/Hip-Hop Album chart.

Now although he's currently incarcerated in New York's infamous Riker's Island a statement from Lil Wayne has been released.

Speaking on Rebirth he says,

“I have evolved both lyrically and musically as an artist and I want everyone to hear my growing pains. This is probably my best work yet.”

Lil Wayne is set to be released from jail in March of next year.

Although money troubles in the past caused a rift in the business and personal relationship between the rapper and Birdman, it looks like the time away has allowed B.G. to get his business mentality up to par to ensure that what happened to him before won't happen again.

It feels like the Hot Boyz reunion is coming a lot closer as days progress.

Already building his relationship back with Mannie Fresh, Juvenile and Lil Wayne, the vintage Cash Money army is starting to make their return.

Speaking with HipHopWired, B.G. spoke on becoming a free agent after the release of Too Hood 2 Be Hollywood and what it would take to be back with Cash Money and Birdman.

“If the numbers right, if it makes sense.”

He also spoke on how Baby attempted to help B.G. be released from Atlantic Records.

“E1 called Atlantic and asked them what they doing with me. What's the hold up on B.G's album? He offered them a deal, baby offered them a deal to and they turned him down. I guess, they don't want to see me win or not. Everything worked out perfect, it couldn't be better.”

Similar to the possibility of L.O.X. doing business with Diddy again, let's hope that B.G. has smartened up since then and won't make the same mistake.
