"F is for the Fatty's wearing my isshhh."

As was the case for lyrics in the golden era of Hip-Hop, FUBU was the brand that everybody was about in the urban community.

Being helmed as For Us By Us, the company that was founded in 1992 was competing with the heavyweights such as Nike and essentially holding down New York fashion.

Rappers ranging from Diddy to LL Cool J to Master P donned the clothing and FUBU stood as THE attire for urban America.

A new decade brings a new page for the clothing brand, and rapper Jadakiss looks to help usher back in the movement as he's now endorsing the brand, which had been renamed FB.

Already a spokesman for Coogi, Kiss is helping to relaunch the brand and reflected on his memories of the company during a recent photo shoot.

“When I was coming up, that was one of the most poppinest pieces you had to get. Whether it be the jersey, the hat, the t-shirt, you needed that, especially coming in the game in the early 90s. Just getting in the game, just signing to Bad Boy. That was one of the guru's of the early fashion thing.”

Back when Fubu was on top:

Ladies Love Cool James but apparently not the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. At least not yet.

As Hip-Hop Wired previously reported, LL Cool J was up for contention during his first year of eligibility but it was announced that he didn't make the final cut.

Other artists that were up for contention as well, but didn't make the finals, included Disco Queen Donna Summer, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Kiss. This year's inductees will be Reggae legend Jimmy Cliff, ABBA, The Hollies, Genesis and The Stooges and they will be bestowed their honor on March 15, 2010 at the ceremony at the Waldorf Astoria in New York.

So far, only two Hip-Hop acts have been inducted into the prestigious Hall. Grandmaster Flash and The Furious 5 were inducted in 2007 and The Kings of Rock… Run-DMC were bestowed the honor last year.

The legendary Todd Smith a.k.a. LL Cool J, is bringing back the hits the world has come to know and love.

LL boasts a laundry list of accomplishments including being the first rapper with four consecutive albums, first to earn four gold singles, first to hit No. 1 R&B, first to headline "MTV Unplugged. Now with 20 plus years in the game under his belt, LL's set to excel over his last compilation, All World: Greatest Hits and take things to new heights.

His ‘best-of' collection is a sequel to the first titled All World 2: Greatest Hits and features songs ranging from his 80's debut to his current tracks.

Included are blasts from the past including “Rock The Bells”, “Dear Yvette”, “I'm That Type of Guy” and “Big Ole Butt.” Following that are his hits "Around The Way Girl, "To Da Break Of Dawn" and "Jack The Ripper" as well as more contemporary tracks like “Love You Better” “Paradise” and “Baby” featuring Dream.

Stans eager to walk down memory lane with LL can pick up his ‘best of' All World 2 compilation when it's released December 8.

“If Proof was alive, he's be dying inside. You ain't no Hip-Hop messiah, you a b*tch cause you dissed Mariah. Sh*t like that, supposed to be private.”

"Pop Killer"

It looks like old wounds heal slow as Canibus has set his sights back on Eminem to release another diss track at the Detroit native.

Rumored to be titled “Pop Killer," the rapper, alongside another rapper known as DZK, digs up the past beef as he goes in on Mr. Mathers.

“I'ma fry you on behalf of Mariah and Michael, put you back on dem drugs, make you suicidal. You can't shut the record down, n*gga it's viral.”

For those that don't know the history, beef between the two reportedly started back in 1998 before Shady was even signed. Em states that he was approached by Canibus and Wyclef Jean and was asked if he wrote the lyrics to LL Cool J's diss track “The Ripper Strikes Back” which he denied, but added that Bus was rude with him.

Bus later tried to apologize for the incident by showing up at the Warped Tour in 1999 and asked him to rap along with him on the track “Phuck U," but Shady turned it down, allegedly because he felt the track was a diss to Cool J.

Shots were allegedly fired initially on The Slim Shady LP and escalated once Canibus did his own version of “Stan” from The Marshall Mathers LP where he saved the life of the title character. The two continued to spar with each other up to 2002.

“He's a devil in a red dress on MTV. He signed more Black people than a basketball team. What you tryna say subconsciously, you can't ride the beat like me. Consciously, you know I'll rock you to sleep. Slim Shady, you a coward cause you scared to rap with me. The only Black man you respect is 50. And the greatest rapper of all time was dead right and dead wrong, you shouldn't even have been on that song.”

Artists such as Royce Da 5'9” have started to weigh in on the attempt by the rapper to wage war once again.

RT@dopeboySHAKE: ‘I'll be brief and let me just keep sh*t simple, can-a-b*tch don't want no beef with slim? Noooo'

Wherever the random diss came from, only Bis knows, but Em is one with quite the track record with battle rap. “Warning” shows that he isn't afraid to throw a woman under the bus and his relentless references to his former wife Kim shows that he knows no bounds and can see no boundaries.

Engaging countless battles in his career ranging from Everlast to Cage to Ja Rule to Jermaine Dupri, the white rapper has earned his stripes in the battlefield. Good luck.

“I remember the first time we met, I ain't even like you. Walking around my video set like you was in high school. It must excite you seeing Black people being tribal. That's why Dr. Dre signed you.”

“Turn off the beat man, turn off the beat.”

Canibus is a rapper whose career never catapulted to where it should have gone due to his inability to fully embrace and utilize his talent.

Recently, he had some words for Invasion Radio when they asked him to freestyle alongside his Undergod partner, Keith Murray. After Murray shredded through an instrumental and set up the alley for the rapper, Canibus declined.

The mood seemed to change after the DJ jokingly stated that she had a hot 16 to kick.

“Yo don't disrespect and say you have 16 bars. That's what I'm saying man. You have to have respect for men who rock rhymes all day and all night. It's a game to you. I've been vocaling and doing shows for four weeks, then I come up here and just look at me like, ‘Yo, spit somethin'.”

Going on somewhat of a diva tirade, the rapper added that rapping is up to the rapper and no one can just force a rapper to drop some bars just because they want to hear them.

“If anybody wanna rhyme, we just rhyme and if we don't wanna rhyme, we don't rhyme. You can't push one way or the other, you have to just chill too.”

He also spoke on how he has bled himself dry for the craft and for the fans and has not been able to hold anything for himself.

“I give Hip-Hop everything and don't keep nothing to myself.”

Talk about a way to throw off his own promotion, the rapper that once feuded with LL Cool J has been off the radar for quite some time so the world of Hip-Hop has high expectations. It only makes sense to give listeners just a sample outside of the upcoming album.

It's not like they were trying to get him to tap dance in Black face or anything.

To say fame got to his head would be inaccurate, solely based on the fact that he was never THAT big in the mainstream and essentially faded into obscurity. The talent is there, without a doubt, but he has lacked the willingness to push himself over the bar when opportunity presents itself.

A person only has so many chances.

LL Cool J is showing no signs of slowing down after more than 20 years in the game. The Queens MC is about to receive some major paper from his moonlighting gig away from the mic. His new television series “NCIS: Los Angeles” has just been sold into syndication after only seven weeks on the air.

CBS TV Distribution has licensed the show to USA for roughly $1.9 million per episode. It will start airing weekly in the fall of 2011.

“NCIS: Los Angeles” is a spin-off from the popular “NCIS” series and the L.A. based version is about the high-stakes world of the Office of Special Projects (OSP), a division of NCIS that is charged with apprehending dangerous and elusive criminals that pose a threat to the nation's security.

LL plays "Special Agent Sam Hanna," a former U.S. Navy Seal, on the weekly crime drama that also stars Chris O'Donnell, Rocky Carroll, Linda Hunt, Peter Cambor, Daniela Ruah and Adam Jamal Craig.

As previously reported, Uncle L is up for consideration for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Awards. Only five acts will be chosen for the 25th induction ceremony scheduled for March 15, 2010 in New York and the selected inductees will be announced in December. His competition includes esteemed artists in their own lanes including the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Genesis, Jimmy Cliff, Donna Summer, ABBA and Kiss.

Def Jam will also be releasing his second music career highlight installment with All World: Greatest Hits Volume 2, on November 23rd.
