Team Bieber Beats Team Luda At Ludaday Celebrity Basketball Game

Ludaday Weekend went down in Atlanta this past week and on Sunday, Ludacris held a celebrity basketball game at Morehouse Gym at Forbes Arena in Atlanta on Sunday.

Justin Bieber's team with Shawty Lo, Sean Garrett and Kevin Durant took on Luda's team with Chris Paul, Carmelo Anthony and Teyana Taylor.

In the end, Team Bieber edged out Team Luda with a final score of 134-132.

“We made a lot of money for #charity today at the game. thanks to everyone who supported and to @ludacris for living as an example to others,” Bieber tweeted after the game.

$10,000 in proceeds from the Ludaday celebrity game was donated to charity.

During the whirlwind of parties in Atlanta this Labor Day Weekend, the city's been packed with celebrities.

Saturday proved to be no different at High Level Media's “The Reunion Concert” sponsored by Ludacris' Soul Headphones that brought out the Isley Brothers, El Debarge, Chico Debarge, Carl Thomas while British hunk Idris Elba played host.

Fans and celebs packed the city's Chastain Park Amphitheatre including The Real Housewives Phaedra Parks and Kandi, Ludacris, Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed, Jasmine Guy and more.

Ludacris and his onslaught of celebrity friends are continuing to take over Atlanta for the rapper's annual LudaDay Weekend.

The DTP head and face of SOUL headphones, took over Clark Atlanta University alongside Basketball Wife Meeka Claxton, Carmelo Anthony and Angela Simmons Saturday.

Luda and his guests partied with the college students and provided free food and drinks while famed DJ, DJ Holiday played host.

Also in the building were members of Black Hollywood including actor Lance Gross, Keshia Knight Pulliam and the lovely Tika Sumpter.

HipHopWired was in the building and caught interviews with the basketball wife as well as famed producer Sean Garrett.

Ludacris' 6th annual LudaDay Weekend festivities jumped off last night at Atlanta's Opera Nightclub and a slew of celebs were in attendance including Ciara, LeToya Luckett, Keshia Knight Pulliam, and Lil Scrappy.

Planned events for LudaDay Weekend will continue into the holiday weekend culminating with Team Luda playing against Team Bieber in Sunday's celebrity basketball game.

Ludacris will takeover Labor Day Weekend for the 6th Annual LudaDay Weekend in Atlanta, GA.

LudaDay Weekend is a series of events widely supported by not only the City of Atlanta, but by celebrities, tastemakers and key influencers from across the country.

LudaDay Weekend serves as a platform to give back to the community that supports Ludacris and his many successful endeavors.

"We're 6 years strong, and each year gets bigger and better than the year before. I'm honored to be able to give back to the community that supported me from day one," says Bridges.

Every year Ludacris, DTP and The Ludacris Foundation does a special give-back to the community, and this year is no different.

They have partnered with the Atlanta Braves to giveaway 1,000 tickets to the Braves vs. Washington Nationals game on Thursday, September 1st, at Turner Field.

The tickets are being given away for free to various schools and Atlanta-area youth organizations to enjoy a day of family fun courtesy of Ludacris.

“It's definitely one of those movies that's worth going to the theater to check out.  It's a collection piece.  Gerard Butler of course is in it with me along with Kyra Sedgwick.  Gamer, it's an extremely interesting futuristic action flick so it's set in the future but the crazy thing about it is… you know how interactive video games are and how each and every year they just become more and more amazing, if you can imagine technology and there being a chip inside your brain that allows you to be controlled by another person, that's basically what the movie is about.”

Gamer also features Terry Crews (Everybody Hates Chris, Friday After Next), John Leguizamo and Keith David.  Speaking more about the premise of the film, Ludacris revealed,

“They're inmates of course and they enter into this battle zone and they're being played by another person in the video game.  They're prisoners and if you win a certain amount of battles, then they get out of jail.  It's extremely interesting and basically I play a  guy (Humanz Brother) that's a leader of a resistance group that  is 100% against putting chips into any human being because he feels that once that is done, you'll be able to take over all of mankind.  The concept and everything, the graphics, the material and the storyline all comes together well so I'm proud of that so on Friday people need to show up at the theater and make this thing happen.”

After making himself an elitist in the Hip-Hop world, Ludacris says that he now wants to conquer Hollywood.  With over five feature films under his belt which include prominent roles and numerous television show appearances, Ludacris added:

“I'm loving this acting thing.  I'm taking my time with it and I come in with no ego.  I just want to learn and I've definitely learned from every one that I've been on screen with from Terrance Howard to Gerard Butler.  I've had a chance to work with a lot of different individuals especially on Crash. It was all kind of A-list actors on there so I just come in and learn before I take on that starring role.  I'm just trying to get me feet all the way wet.  Eventually I will be starring in my own movie, we gone make it happen.  It's about getting the right projects so I'm taking it slow but surely.”

In related news, Ludacris will kick off his 4^th annual  LudaDay Weekend on Thursday.  As previously reported,   the celebration includes various club events, a block party on the campus of Clark Atlanta University and a DJ Appreciation event in efforts to help out the community.

As previously reported, the weekend will be capped off by a giveaway of 20 cars for his "Stars For Cars” giveaway through Nissan South and The Ludacris Foundation. 20 lucky people will be selected to receive a free car from the MC if they can provide a one page essay detailing why they are most qualified. Additionally, contest participants must be Georgia residents, 18 years of age and able to pay taxes on the vehicle.
