U Can't Touch This.   Well apparently the U.S. government says differently.

The one-time King Of Rap MC Hammer still owes the I.R.S. $779,585 in back taxes and has now filed a lawsuit against the Oaktown MC and his wife.

According to TMZ, the back taxes are mainly from his financially troubled years, 1996 and 1997, and the government wants any concert earnings automatically directed back to the government.

Hammer filed for bankruptcy in 1996 after being more than $13 million in debt.

MC Hammer has always been an innovator, he showed rappers how to crossover, put their homies on and lose everything due to poor money management. And in an interview at the Web 2.0 Summit in San Francisco, Hammer revealed that he was working on a new search engine called WireDoo that will not be a direct competitor with Google because it will provide a deeper type of search.

Hammer goes into detail about the engine and maybe this could bring in the next fortune for the entertainer who once challenged Michael Jackson to a dance-off.

Nick Cannon is taking time off from baby-making, beefing with Eminem and acting to do what we all love him for the most...music?

In what may be a tribute that comes off more like a spoof, Mariah Carey's man has donned garbs similar to that of the legendary Michael Jackson in his "Rock With You" video for his own vid entitled "Famous" which features Akon.

In this teaser we see Nick with a curly wig mimicking the moves of the late pop king. Nick states, “I'm a huge Michael Jackson fan, so to be in that ‘Rock With You' costume and have it look exactly like the video was crazy.”

Crazy indeed, maybe it was even delusional to think that this would be an acceptable recreation to pull off.  Or maybe this was just good fun comedy since Cannon will take on the images of  MC Hammer, Antoine Dodson, Gene Simmons and other performers in teasers that are on the way.

Despite his recent tax troubles, Trick Daddy continues to promote his latest endeavour.

As previously reported,  his book  “Magic City: Trials Of A Native Son” hit stores in November  and is co-written by NBC correspondent Peter Bailey, who assisted in penning the autobiographical tale on the trials and tribulations in the rapper's life including his current battle with Lupus.

The pair teamed up for the in-store and signed autographs for fans eager for a chance to meet the Miami emcee.

Trick Daddy owes over $157,000 in back taxes for revenue he earned as far back as 2002, according the Detroit News.

The tax problem is just one of the rapper's monetary troubles. The Florida resident's $320,000 home in Miami was sold last October, after a bank foreclosed on it in May.

A lien was filed against Trick and his wife in September for $85,366 for money he earned in 2007, 2008 and 2009, while another one in July was filed for $16,709 for revenue earned in 2006. Trick was also hit with a separate lien in July for $54,979, for income taxes owed in 2002.

Trick isn't the only rapper who has run afoul of the IRS in recent months. Other artists called out by the feds this year alone include, Young Buck, Beanie Sigel and Wyclef.

Over the years, the IRS has kept a tight leash of the earnings of people in the rap industry. There is a laundry list of artists that have been in trouble for tax evasion over the years including Lil Wayne, Snoop Dogg, Obie Trice, Method Man, Eve, DMX, Nas, Swizz Beatz, Doug E. Fresh, Mos Def, MC Hammer, Lil Kim, Big Boi, Fat Joe and D12.

Trick Daddy released his autobiography Magic City: Trials of a Native Son, November 16.

Jay-Z may have thought that the passive way he addressed the alleged Hammer diss on “So Appalled” would amend the fences with Hammer, but we was wrong.

As previously reported, in an interview with DJ Semtex Jay states that the “shot at Hammer” was taken out of context.

“Am I the first person to think that it was taken out of context?” Jay asks laughing. “Am I, I mean I was making sure of that because I have had nothing but nice things to say about Hammer in my book.”

Hammer decided to reveal why he felt compelled to bust back at Jay-Z, who like many before decided to talk about Hammer's financial issues from 1994.

“To me it's not a good question for a cat that's from the streets,” Hammer said. “I'm going to use an analogy to make things simple. If I walk past 5 dudes who call me a sucka and the 5th dude tries and gets knocked out, he can't be mad at me-he should be mad at the other 5 for not telling him I'm not a punk and getting him knocked out.”

Hammer further states that although mainstream may not have heard about the results of previous rappers verbally attacking him, the issues were addressed.

“Them dudes lied to you man, they didn't tell you about the other dudes that got knocked out,” Hammer said. “So what you need to do, on the real is check my track record in this business. If you go back to my active period, I've never let no one say my name and not address it-ever!”

Hammer also states that he is not a bully and the reason he decided to address Jay-Z also had to do with Jay's influence on Pop culture.

“This dude is a very influential dude,” Hammer continued. “He is on Forbes Magazine and if you are in magazine, talking about he has 4 and 5 million, so what are you worried about me for? Why are you using me as an example and my issue was 16 years ago. Jay knows this wasn't random, there was some other issues going on behind the scenes and there is someone else that knows and will be able to shed some light on what's going on.”

Wow, looks like Hammer ain't playing. Jay-Z better run…

As previously reported, Hammer released his "Run Better Run" diss track aimed at Jay complete with a dance video starring a Jay-Z look-alike.

In an interview with DJ Semtex, Jay states that the “shot at Hammer” in the single “So Appalled”, was taken out of context.

“Am I the first person to think that it was taken out of context?” Jay asks laughing. “Am I, I mean I was making sure of that because I have had nothing but nice things to say about Hammer in my book.”

In addition, Jay states that all of the hype around his alleged subliminal diss shots are always misconstrued due to his appeal to reach people.

“I think that because so many people believe me, when I say something about someone it stops being rap at that point,” Jay continued. “But when he reads all of the nice things I said about [Hammer], he's actually going to be embarrassed.”

Wow..please Hammer don't hurt ‘em.
