The title might throw you off a little bit, but this is a pretty dope record. Prodigy lets loose a a new single off of his upcoming new album, H.N.I.C. 3, entitled "Pretty Thug." It's been a pretty rough year for the M-O-B-B, but the music isn't lacking.

Prodigy of Mobb Deep spoke to Hip-Hop Wired shortly before a handful of fiascos overtook the attention of the music they were putting out. In this one on one interview, he speaks on sticking to the script and having his partner Havoc produce on the album as well as Day 26 being featured on the album. "I'm having a great motherf-cking time performing again and doing this music and just living life," P. said to Hip-Hop Wired. "I'm putting my all into the album because I want it to do good out there... I'm putting my everything into this album."

Prodigy Talks Using Alleged Mobb Deep Breakup For Publicity [VIDEO]

Now that the Mobb Deep breakup saga is seemingly over, with a hacker being blamed on Havoc's inflammatory tweets, Prodigy sat down with Hot 97's Cipha Sounds & Rosenberg yesterday (April 17) morning to set the record straight.

After being grilled by CS and Rosenberg to tell the truth and shame the Devil, P admitted he is still somewhat clueless as to how the whole situation blew up. “I can't even tell you how it happened,” said P. “All I can say is that when we got down to the bottom of it, me and Hav realized what was going on, we knew it was all bogus.”

Prodigy acknowledged that when the duo didn't come forward immediately to clarify the situation it may have looked like something was afoot for someone on the outside looking in. “We didn't get up on Twitter and be like its bogus. So that's probably why people think we set it up or something. We just waited for a minute, and we was like, ‘You know what? They'll see when we at the game and we working on this album putting out singles that it's all a bunch of nothing.”

The “Shook Ones” rapper even admitted to using the situation to his advantage. “Really, me and Hav are businessmen. We stepped back and was like, ‘Alright, how can we use this to our advantage. And basically we was like, ‘Alright well, P got an album bout to drop. Just wait, do the interviews and promote your sh#t like you supposed to.'”

“Me and Hav, its business as usual,” he added. “We good.”

With so many conflicting stories and information its hard to tell who to believe. But if they say they are cool, they are cool. Right?

Mobb Deep were in full damage control mode last night as they took in the Knicks 40-point mashing of the Washington Wizards. After a week that was as tumultuous as any we've seen in quite some time, Prodigy and Havoc seemed to be chumming it up quite nicely. The group's popularity due to the controversy, coupled with the Knicks bench naming themselves after the Queens duo, all lead to happy times in Mobb-land. Yeah, dunny.

You see what we did there? The recent turmoil between Mobb Deep's Havoc and Prodigy makes it abundantly clear that the stability of your favorite rap group is never guaranteed. There are many examples throughout Hip-Hop history of duos and groups we thought would be rocking forever who ultimately decided to go their separate ways. Some managed to reunite, but too many ended up forsaking their glory days for years of #struggle music, much to their fans dismay.

Havoc Tells The Breakfast Club That Wasn't Him On Phone Talking Greasy About Prodigy [LISTEN]

After The Breakfast Club played audio of Havoc allegedly speaking ill of Prodigy, the Queensbridge rapper and producer called into the radio show to dispute the claim. Hav stuck to his story that his phone was lost at a gas station. "I didn't hear about none of it until the afternoon," Prodigy told Charlamagne Tha God, DJ Envy and Angela Yee. "Then I was trying to get my phone back, go to the Apple store and all that."

After Charlamagne pointed out that his tweets were coming from the web, Hav had an answer ready. "This is what I'm trying to say, I have a password app holder, in my phone that has all my passwords in it, for all my social networks," said the "Shook Ones, Part II" rapper. Hav also refuted Noreaga's assertions that it was him on the phone slandering Prodigy.

"NORE don't know me like that," he said. "NORE is mad cool but he don't know something to verify something like that."

The Breakfast Club Plays Audio Of Havoc Slandering Prodigy [LISTEN/DOWNLOAD]

The saga continues. This morning, Power 105.1's The Breakfast Club played audio of Havoc saying his Mobb Deep partner, Prodigy, is a homos-xual. "He gay, I had to smack him like a month and a half ago when we was doing South by Southwest," said the voice on the recording, that sounded a lot like Havoc. Charlamagne Tha God, DJ Envy and Angela Yee then called up rapper Noreaga, who confirmed that the voice was indeed Havoc's.

For those having trouble following; last night Havoc released a statement saying that the reason for all the tweets berating Prodigy was because he left his phone at a gas station. Havoc Claims Cell Phone Was Stolen, Mobb Deep Still Intact

Early this morning, the Internets were all in a huff over slanderous tweets that were thought to be coming from Havoc of Mobb Deep and aimed at his long time rhyme co-d Prodigy. In a series of tweets, Havoc's @THEREALHAVOC account called Capital P everything but a child of God while alleging that he engaged in homos-xual acts while he was locked up. The fellow Queensbridge rapper and accomplished producer also threatened P with the fade on sight. Well in a dramatic turn of events, by social media standards, Havoc claims that it was all a case of a stolen cell phone.

The H.A.V.O.C. issued the following statement:

"Just getting back into NY after my Easter weekend with family and friends in Jersey. I left my phone at a gas station yesterday evening while on my way to Jersey after a glorious Knick's game. To all Mobb Deep fans: it's business as usual! It's Mobb Deep all day!!! My twitter account @THEREALHAVOC will be down until further notice. The only other real account is @PRODIGYMOBBDEEP. Ignore the rest. One!"

Earlier this evening, Prodigy—who recently told Hip-Hop Wired about Mobb Deep's formula for longevity—issued a short statement of his own, via Twitter. "ATTENTION: TO BE CLEAR@PRODIGYMOBDEEP IS A FAKE PAGE I DONT EVEN KNOW WHY SH-T IS VERIFIED TWITTER PEOPLE R ON SUM BULLSHIT RIGHT NOW SMH..," he tweeted. "IM A FATHER ,AN ADULT, IM NOT HERE TO BEEF IM HERE TO MAKE MUSIC."

It Was All Good 2 Weeks Ago: Prodigy Speaks On Mobb Deep's Longevity [VIDEO]

Prodigy and Havoc off Mobb Deep beefing with each other on Twitter? Nobody wanted to believe that the Queensbridge rap duo could call it quits and sully almost two decades worth of murderous hits like "Shook Ones Part II" and "Quiet Storm," and sinister album cuts like "Still Shining," over a squabble that spilled over onto the Internets.

About two weeks ago, Hip-Hop Wired spoke with Prodigy, who was excited about the prospect of going on tour and penning an anthem for the New York Knicks, whose bench is calling themselves "Mob Deep." We specifically asked P how Mobb Deep was able to stay together when so many rap groups have called it quits over the years. "We just some serious thinkers, we think far into the future," said Prodigy. "Even if problems arise, we already way ahead where we like, 'Hold up, f-ck this bullsh-t, we still trying to go this sh-t over hear.' Some people can't get through that. Some people can't see past their nose and they ain't got no goal they striving for. But Mobb Deep, we always got it in our mind that we trying to go down in history as one of the longest rap groups in rap history, in Hip-Hop history, in music history."

Havoc Berates Prodigy On Twitter, Mobb Deep Splits

UPDATE (April 9 @ 11:00PM): Havoc issued a statement saying his cell phone was stolen.

We've been following this story all day long, and honestly, we wanted it to be a farce. However, after multiple sources reaching out to Havoc to claim its authenticity, sad to say that this is legit. Havoc and Prodigy have collectively been known as Mobb Deep for close to two decades.
However, after a few tweets that seemed so vicious the legitimacy of them had come into question immediately, Havoc has lashed out against Prodigy for reasons still unbeknown to the general public. Read the full diatribe of tweets down below.
