Entering the interview without knowing much about MGK, Rosenberg seemed to push several buttons with the rapper. They discussed who the Ohio MC really is, his music, and several artists he seems to emulate. Kelly also expressed his admiration for DMX, who he feels is the G.O.A.T.

In addition, the Bad Boy Records artist spoke on being overlooked by several media outlets, and not being given the credit he feels he deserves. "I really thought that the MTV Breakout Artist, when I beat Mac [Miller], when I beat A$AP [Rocky], I beat [Lil] Twist, who had Justin Beiber tweeting for him, Wayne, all those guys, and my fans still came through for me...A$AP gets the cover of Complex, MGK doesn't even get a section!"

Hear what else the 21 year old phenom had to say, in this very enlightening interview.

Pill Says, "I never signed any paperwork with Ross."

A week ago, we ran the story of Pill's Twitter rant which was based on his displeasure with his current record label situation. Now Pill has hit MTV News with word that he was never actually signed to Rick Ross' Maybach Music Group.

"I never signed any paperwork with Ross. It was just my deal was over at Warner already," says Pill.

While Pill appeared on MMG's, Self Made Vol. 1, he stated that he was unhappy with the lack of promotional push he received following the compilation's release. In addition, he relayed that he is still cool with everyone in Maybach Music Group, but he did note that there was a lack of communication between him and Rozay.

"I don't got nothing against Ross," said Pill, before adding, "I just don't talk to him. I ain't really got too much to say to somebody that ain't got nothing to say to me. I'm not a brown nose, I'm not a punk @ss n**ga and I'm not finna to go try to chase behind somebody that ain't saying nothing to me. I holla at who holla at me, straight up and down. "

The Warner Bros. Records distributed Maybach Music Group enjoyed a very successful 2011 thanks to the aforemention Self Made Vol. 1 and Wale's sophomore album Ambition. There were also mixtape releases from Ross in late 201o (Ashes To Ashes), Wale and Meek Mill. Just before we entered 2012, Rozay has announced the release of a new mixtape, Rich Forever, on Jan. 6th at 3:05pm. Meek Mill also plans to drop his highly anticipated debut album following the release of his Dreamchasers 2.0 mixtape.

It remains to be seen, what Ross' thoughts are on the matter, but for now here are Pill's.

Big Tigger Fired On His Birthday

WPGC's Morning Show with Big Tigger and Free is no more. Yesterday (December 22), Tigger confirmed reports that the he and the Washington, DC station had agreed to part ways via his Twitter account.

Tigger started with WPGC nearly 20 years ago as an intern, and worked his way through the ranks. As one of the more popular radio and television personalities, Tigger will surely be missed in the DMV area. In a memo, WPGC's New Program Director, Jason Kidd, wrote:

"I want to let you know that Tigger will no longer be hosting mornings on WPGC. Tigger has been a huge part of WPGC over the years. He started as an intern at PGC back in 1993 and eventually moved into nights in 1996. He came back later in the 2000s for afternoons and then, most recently, mornings. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors.”

Tigger will surely land on his feet, and most likely find his way back to television. With MTV bringing back Yo! MTV Raps, it only seems fitting for BET to counter and bring back Rap City: The Basement. Guess we'll have to wait and see, but for now, we just have moments like below to reflect on.

Heavy D's Brother Speaks Out

There was a public memorial service yesterday in Mount Vernon, NY for Heavy D. and today there's a private service for friends and family.

Yesterday his brother Floyd Meyers spoke with MTV on Heav's legacy, how he maintained his health and the people he touched.

As Floyd explains the relevance of his brother's contribution to the game and how he was overwhelmed by his catalog, it really solidified Heavy D's legendary status as an artist and as a person.

Meyers also pointed out that there were things his brother wouldn't do that could have made him money but those are the reasons why he's remembered in such high regards.

From the music to the movies to the man himself, Heavy D will never be forgotten.

And for anyone that wants to contribute to the fund so that his daughter Xia Meyers will be financially set, go to RememberHeavyD.com.

Russell Simmons Co-Signs Irv Gotti for Def Jam Prez

We don't know if Def Jam is actually taking Irv Gotti into consideration for president but since he went on MTV and spoke to Sway and lobbied for the spot, there's been some mumblings about Irv and the position itself.

No I.D had to address the situation on radio and now Russell Simmons weighs in on who thinks is a fit for the job in a convo with XXL.

“I like Irv...I like [DJ] Khaled. I'd co-sign Chris Lighty. These three people, I'd co-sign any of them in a second…”

Irv and Chris make perfect sense to most of us. DJ Khaled on the other hand, is a stretch in my opinion. Not that my opinion matters but "The House That Russell Built" needs a little more experience than a few "We The Best" outbursts in an A&R meeting to get the sales back up.

I could be wrong though. Who do you think should be Def Jam's next presidente?

Nicki Minaj Becomes Lil Wayne in Birdman's ‘Y.U. Mad' Video

Nicki Minaj rocked a twisted up hairstyle as she became the "female Weezy" in Birdman's "Y.U. Mad" video. Nicki already mentioned she was going to be Lil Wayne for Halloween, and we know the influence the Young Money CEO has had on her flow.

Birdman tells MTV how the song came about in this video clip. Wayne also talks about the song's title claiming that it is not literal at all.

“I think Nick just sounded good saying mad at that point in the song. I don't think it would've been cooler if she said, ‘That's why you glad.' We have to ask her next time I see her,” said Weezy.

Check out the behind the scenes footage of the Gil Green-directed vid. Baby's Bigga Than Life LP drops November 21st.
