Last Friday, all of Austin, Texas was under the rapture of the 2015 SXSW Music Festival. MTV‘s 24-hour college network, mtvU, hosted the 2015 mtvU Woodie Awards at SXSW with several rising stars rocking their big hits on the grand stage.
Last night at the SXSW festival, the 2014 mtvU Woodie Awards kicked off with a host of scheduled and surprise guest performances. Canadian superstar Drake took the top prize of the evening, snagging the “Woodie Of The Year” award.
For fans of MTV’s interactive weekly web series RapFix Live, scrambling to a PC wasn’t always an option. The popular show will be added to the MTV Jams lineup, making its television debut today (March 6) at 4 p.m.
Today (Jan 30), MTV’s 24-hour college-themed channel, mtvU, announced a new campaign led by students who wish to highlight the atrocities of human and labor trafficking. The “mtvU Against Our Will” campaign enlists Brooklyn rap veteran Talib Kweli and others to promote the accompanying interactive video experience known as “The Backstory.”
