Kanye West has changed the name of his new track, the Hit-Boy produced "Theraflu," featuring DJ Khaled and DJ Pharris, to "Way Too Cold." Yeezy made the announcement yesterday via his KanyeWest.com website.

There are no specifics, beyond the track being available for $1.29 on iTunes, as to why he changed the name of the song. But Theraflu did go on record, as reported by TMZ, that they were none too happy about the shout out, saying they "in no way endorse or approve of the references or use of the image and likeness of Theraflu in this manner." Also, the George Condo artwork for the single (see below), has been altered, with the original Theraflu image wiped out.

Better a quick title change, and Photoshop edit, than getting sued.

“It's going to be the craziest album out of the four. It's going to be the most hood, but the girls are going to get into it because we're going to keep it live.”

The West Coast has almost been on life support for quite some time in Hip-Hop. Taking it from New York just to give it back and then watch it flood to the South, the game hasn't quite been the same for the West as it hasn't had such a prominent voice as it did in the days of Death Row.

Fans waiting to see how the West will win can look into Game as another candidate as he will be accompanying Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg with a return to music. Dropping his album, R.E.D., the same day as Snoop's Malice N Wonderland, December 8 is starting to look like a promising Tuesday for Hip-Hop.

With major releases from three giants, the West may have a chance for change. With that being said, it might be time for Dre to find that motivation.

A conversation with HipHollywood revealed that the rapper is strictly red, go figure, and that was the most that he would offer in regards to his upcoming release.

There has been some change in the life of the rapper. Taking a page from Mike Bigga, formerly Killer Mike, the “The” in his rap alias has been dropped. Although most might not have known the difference until this point, it seemed to have relevance to the rapper.

Game is setting the wheels in motion on the fast track as he added that he will have two singles ready before the week closes.

In related news, the rapper has, unfortunately, continued to show his bi-polar side in regards to his former camp G-Unit. While in California for a Rick Ross concert, Game interrupted his own set to send more diss shots towards 50 Cent and the old crew. He gave the same gesture during a concert in Amsterdam over the Summer.

Interestingly enough, the rapper apologized to the group for the past and blamed it on his youth and even chose to not engage 50 on the “Mafia Music Remix.”

One thing's for sure, no one knows what to expect with Game whether it's music or in general, but it will always be a surprise whether good or bad.

Mike Drops the Killer from Rap Alias

With age a person is expected to show a heightened sense of maturity and a willingness to rid themselves of childlike tendencies. In order to grow in the business aspect, it is necessary to shed certain skins that have held a person back more than benefited them.

For rapper Killer Mike, disposing of the ‘Killer' title has been made in order to open up the opportunity for future business endeavors. No longer going by that alias, the rapper is now to be known as Mike Bigga.

In an interview with AllHipHop, Bigga elaborated on the decision to do away with the name and adds that he has actually wanted to do it for some time now.

"I love how smart the hip-hop fans are and they say 'Man, this guy is dope. Why he so slept on.' Then, it always is a comment under there that be like 'I don't suppose the name Killer Mike be holding him back? You can't get corporate sponsorship with that."

With two critically acclaimed mixtapes, the I Pledge Allegiance to the Grind series, fans can only wonder why Mike's name never comes up when there is talk of rappers that are on top of the rap world.

Being heavily recognized and respected for his work in the underground circuit, the rapper feels that he is bigger than he once was and has built a stronger status with his raw style. Ever since leaving the ranks of Purple Ribbon, Mike has established himself as a powerful lyricist that has the ability to stand on his own two. Now partnering his Grind Time Official with T.I.'s Grand Hustle label, the rapper seems ready to make the transition.

The desire for mainstream appeal has led other artists to ditch their original title. Uncle Murda has changed his alias to simply being Uncle M as the word Murder seems to carry negative connotations that can't possibly be good for business. It won't be seen in shelves at the local Target or Wal-Mart.

Name changes, however, do not mean that the music will be changed as Uncle M has assured fans that the same grittiness will be at the listener's disposal, it will just be in a more suitable package. The same feeling must resonate from Bigga or Killer Mike for those that haven't soaked in the new title yet.
