Nas' ex-wife Kelis isn't second guessing her decision to part ways with the God's Son.

According to an interview Kelis had with Attitude magazine, the 31-year-old singer doesn't have any regrets in divorcing Nas, after just two years of marriage.

"I'm not a big regret person," Kelis said. "I've been divorced, and I can still say I don't regret it I'm a big believer that if a bad situation happens, it is a lesson that needs to be learned, just once."

Kelis, who is currently touring and recording, added, "I'm a mother and I do what I love for a living, and I have enough money to do what I want but not so much that it's a stress. I think happiness is a momentary feeling but I'm very content. I feel really good."

Kelis should feel good when she's getting $10,000 a month in spousal support from her ex-husband.

That "milkshake" paid off in the long run.

Smarten up, Nas.

Too bad they couldn't last, let's take a look back at the couple in happier times...

Nas is catching a break from support payments to his ex-wife Kelis now that he's expected to pay half the original amount.

As previously reported Nas was ordered to pay $40,000 a month in spousal support along with an additional $10,000 in child support for their son Knight.

TMZ reports that legal docs filed in L.A. County Superior Court state that Nas must now pay a little over $5,000 a month in child support and $20,000 a month in spousal support.

Nas now has an additional $25,000 a month he can keep for himself.

The Queensbridge rapper is said to be working on releasing his Lost Tapes: Vol 2 as a possible bonus disc with his next album.

In an interview with British on air personality Tim Westwood, Nas states that although he will never talk about the divorce directly, being in the spotlight a lot of issues were leaked that he wanted to remain private.

“I really have never been that type of dude to put my business out there,” Nas said. “With the situation I found out that no matter who you are, your business will be put out there because people want to know. I will never talk about the issue, but what I will say is I wish everyone the best and I want everyone to be happy.”

In regards to whether his problems with Kelis have deterred him from ever getting married again, Nas states:

“You live and you learn, when it comes to matters of the heart I go all in. I still think marriage is a beautiful thing, it's just you have to be strong to weather the ups and downs. I had great hopes and thought we were going to do it big, but when two people see things different and have two different minds, you go into two different directions. But I definitely can see myself doing it again; I had fun doing it and got a beautiful son out of it.”

It's always good to see that neither party is bitter….at least for now and until he sends out that alimony and child support check out every month.

And with the flop of Kelis' latest album Fleshtone, I hope he's not in court again with her trying to up the ante even more.

Speaking with US Weekly, the former wife of the rapper revealed that they are not on good terms with one another and are actually friends.

Guess now that she's actually was getting those payments taken care of, she really has no reason to be mad.

"Yeah everything's fine. We are divorced, but there is no point to fighting -- there is nothing to fight about."

Kelis also spoke on mending their relationship and gave an update on their son Knight.

"I am super happy; my life is awesome. We are friends, we get along now and it's all good...[Our son Knight] is hilarious! He claps, he snaps and he waves. He is a shrunken little person and has a lot of personality..."

At least for the sake of their son, this can only be good news that the two have finally placed an end to the chaos that was unfolding, mainly on the part of Kelis going by how the media portrayed things.  From this point, one can only hope that what was destroyed can now be rebuilt.

TMZ reports that Nas is aware of being late on the six-figure support payments and is on a payment plan to catch up.

His lawyer Mark Kaplan reportedly filed for a payment plan in court allowing him to pay $17,500 up front before doubling the $7,888 he's expected to pay monthly for the mortgage.

TMZ also says that Kelis' lawyer Laura Wasser believes the rapper makes $244,826 a month.

While the idea may sound rather sentimental and come off as a nice gesture, too many have had to learn the hard way that tattooing the names of their significant others is never the best option to scar their body with.

For Nas, a substantial amount of grief, and even more reported child and spousal support has come from a woman that he left inked on his right arm.

There are now reports, however, that the rapper has chosen to get rid of the reminder and will build upon it instead of having it completely removed.

According to TMZ, an L.A. court judge finalized the termination of their marriage Friday.

As previously reported, the singer asked for a rush on her divorce from the rapper citing irreconcilable differences.

Following that Nas alleged that she was keeping him from seeing their son Knight saying that she puts him through “hell” to see his child.

He told VIBE,

"My son was born with ice grills, so when his mom feels in the mood she sends pictures.  If not, it's hell. It's hell trying to figure that out, trying to get him—I'll just leave it at that. It's hell. A man shouldn't go through that s**t, but it's another story I'ma tell at a different time.”

The ex-couple still has a number of issues to work out including the $10,000 a month in child support he's expected to pay which he says he can't afford.

Nas previously paid a portion of Kelis' legal fees, accounting expenses and spousal support totaling close to $300,000.

It's bad enough that she is trying to make Nas pay a debatable amount of money in child and spousal support, but now the rapper is stating that he basically has to leap major bounds just to see his son Knight, whom he said is crawling now.

During an interview with VIBE, the rapper spoke on his strained relationship and attempting to have time with his child.

It's bad enough that African-American men are placed under fire for their inability to support their children and aren't visibly there, but what's the case when someone like Nas wants to be part of his child's life, but the mother is making it entirely too difficult and only wants to see dollars?

What's the real purpose behind all of this Kelis, the people would love to know.
