Fresh off of the Carnegie Hall stage, Nasty Nas stepped into 1 Oak Club in New York City to perform some of his classic records at the New York Giants' Super Bowl After-party. Still in his tuxedo, Nas took the crowd back to Illmatic and It Was Written, with performances of "NY State of Mind" and "If I Ruled The World," respectively. On hand to witness the show was French Montana, and Nas passed the mic to the Bad Boy rapper to perform "Shot Caller."

Not to be outdone by the new generation, Nas shut the place down with a performance of "Made You Look" to close out the show. With Nas perparing to release a new studio album this year, we can only hope that this trip down memory lane serves as a preview of what's to come.

Birdman recently issued a $5 million dollar bet on this year's Super Bowl, via Twitter. While he didn't receive an acceptance of that particular wager, he did receive a counter offer. 50 Cent responded to Birdman's challenge with one of his own, by tweeting, "I'm up 500,000 off the last one. f*ck it ill bet it back Ill put a 1,000,000 on my G MEN. STUNNER you got the # hit me if you want it."

Whether it's $1 million or $5 million, these two moguls are definitely confident in their chances of success within this competition. We'll have to wait and see what "happy medium," the two can agree upon.

Cash Money General, Bryan "Birdman" Williams is no stranger to betting on sporting events. Last year he placed a bet on both the heavily favored Green Bay Packers & Miami Heat, in their respective championship series. While only one of those bets were successful (Packers), Baby hasn't shied away from engaging in a little competitive gambling on this year's Super Bowl. Birdman opened up the challenge to the world via Twitter:

The only risk in this bet, besides the obvious, is that this year's match-up is a rematch of Super Bowl XLII. Super Bowl 42 saw the New York Giants walk away with a three point victory over the [undefeated] New England Patriots, 17-14. This year's big game will be played in Indianapolis, on Sunday, February 5 at 6:30pm. Let's see who steps up to the Cash Money Millionaire's challenge.

Plaxico Burress Released From Prison

Ex-New York Giant Plaxico Burress was released from prison on Monday after serving almost two years on a gun charge.

Burress was released from the Oneida Correctional Facility in central New York around 9 a.m. EST, and briefly spoke with reporters outside of the prison sayings, "I just want to thank God for bringing me through one of the most trying times in my life."

"It's a beautiful day. It's a beautiful day to be reunited with my family. I want to go home and spend some quality time with them."

"I'd like to thank everybody for their prayers and words of encouragement," he continued. "I'd like to thank all my fans all around the world for the thousands of letters, for their unwavering support. As far as football is concerned, if and when everything gets settled, when they get back on the field, I'll be ready."

Burress, 34, is looking to follow in the footsteps of NFL quarterback Michael Vick, and return to the National Football League after serving his time in prison.

"I wouldn't rule out any team, I wouldn't rule out the Giants, I wouldn't rule out any club," Burress' agent Drew Rosenhaus said of his client's chances of returning to the New York Giants. "I really won't talk about specific teams because I don't want to hurt his position. As far as the Giants, my personal opinion is he wouldn't rule them out. I certainly wouldn't."

"We are going to be open to all 32 teams," Rosenhaus continued. "Ultimately this will be Plax's decision, not mine. I am here to help him pick the best spot and get the very best contract. And that is what we will do."

Plaxico Burress was sentenced to two years in prison in September 2009 after accidentally shooting himself in a New York nightclub and pleading guilty to attempted criminal possession of a weapon.

Burress won a Super Bowl championship with the Giants in 2008. He missed the last two NFL seasons.

The NFL wide receiver plans to return to his Florida home to spend time with his family, and begin training to rejoin the NFL.

Burress will not face any additional punishment from the NFL, and can sign with any team, pending the league's lockout.

Lawrence Taylor To Become A Registered Sex Offender Today‎

One of the top ten football players in NFL history, Lawrence Taylor, will become a registered sex offender today as part of his plea deal that will keep him out of jail.

The former NY Giants' linebacker submitted a guilty plea in a case that accused him of sexual conduct and patronizing a 16-year-old prostitute.

The 52-year-old ex-football star was arrested in May of 2010 at a hotel and was originally charged with third degree rape, and child endangerment even though he thought the prostitute was 19 years of age.

Taylor will be sentenced today and could get six months and probation and sex offender designation at a low or high level.

Former NFL and New York Giants superstar wide receiver Plaxico Burress has been denied his bid for work release for the second time.

Currently serving a two-year sentence, Plax could remain in jail until next spring.

As previously reported, Burress plead guilty in August of 2099 to criminal weapons possession of a weapon after he accidentally shot himself in the leg inside a New York nightclub in 2008.

According to The Associated Press, the state Department of Correctional Services said the nature of his November 2008 crime merited turning down his request for a work furlough, which would have let him spend some portion of his time free and working.

Burress can appeal the decision but otherwise can't reapply for a work furlough until June 6, 2011, the date he comes up for potential full release if he gets time off for good behavior.

"The serious and negative impact illegal guns have on the community coupled with (the) dangerous nature of the weapon discharging in a public place renders him unsuitable for work release," the agency said.

Plaxico has also has completed an anger management program behind bars, Foglia said.

LSU two-sport star, Chad Jones, who was drafted by the New York Giants in April was in a significant car accident early Friday morning.

Jones underwent surgery Friday for a broken left leg and ankle following the single-car crash.

Jones is in critical condition in LSU Public hospital in New Orleans.

Jones' agent said that the 21-year-old player was alert and was still in surgery in the early afternoon.

New Orleans' WWL-TV reported Jones suffered “a fractured left leg and had arteries and nerves exposed,” and that doctors were trying to restore blood flow into Jones' foot.

The cause of the crash is still not clear.

Jones, a safety, was drafted in the 3rd round of the NFL Draft.

At LSU he was part of the Tigers' 2007 National championship team and he was also a left-handed relief pitcher for the LSU baseball team that won the 2009 College World Series.

He is one of only two players in NCAA history to win a BCS football championship and a College World Series.

Hopefully, Jones is able to regain use of his leg and return to his old form.
