According to his family, Chamberlain was startled by the intrusion, and grabbed a knife for protection. They urged the District Attorney's office to take a further look into the case. However police pinned Chamberlain as the aggressor despite surveillance and audio footage from the scene showing them using racial epithets. The case has drawn comparisons to the murder of Trayvon Martin, which Chamberlain family lawyer Randolph McLaughlin referenced in response to the news. “I guess it's easier to indict a vigilante in Florida than to get a cop indicted in this county.  That's an outrage!”

The grand jury's decision not to go forward with an indictment marks the second time in three years that a similar outcome has occurred.  “We did everything we could and should do to put before that grand jury every piece of relevant and admissible evidence,” said Westchester County District Attorney Janet DiFiore.

Given the racial overtones of the case, White Plains Mayor Thomas Roach said that authorities have vowed to complete an internal investigation, and will make copies of police investigation material, and video and audio recordings made available to the media.

In accordance with the original motivation behind their discrepancies, protestors in Manhattan tore through Midtown passing by banks, and corporate offices chanting “we are the 99 Percent,” and “banks got bailed out, we got sold out."

Unfortunately their act of civil disobedience wasn't met with a positive reaction. Construction workers in their path responded to the incantations with “Get-a-job! Get-a-job!” and “Stop wasting the cops' time!” Other demonstrations are taking place in large cities including, San Francisco, Houston, and Chicago. Footage and updates from the day-long event are posted and live-streamed via Occupywallstreet.org.

Since its inception last year, many in the Hip-Hop world have gotten behind the movement. Russell Simmons, offered to pay to clean-up the Lower Manhattan area inhabited by protesters, and Jay-Z's Rocawear label released "Occupy All Streets" shirts.

The Heat are the overwhelming favorites in the series and are predicted to make another Finals appearance, but who knows, maybe history repeats itself.

New York rapper ASAP Rocky, who is currently on Drake's Club Paradise Tour, sat down with GoodFellaMedia for a quick interview.

Bryan Leach Speaks On A$AP Rocky

The President of Polo Grounds/RCA Records is speaking on the company's newest signee who made headlines for a $3 million deal.

As previously reported A$AP Rocky made headlines after revealing to Pitchfork that he'd landed a lucrative deal with the record label.

"The situation is almost unrealistic. I mean, five months ago I had about $3,000 in my bank account. Now I'm worth $3 million."

"Nobody's gotten a deal like that since 50 Cent."

 

Now however the company's President Bryan Leach is explaining the situation and clarifying that he didn't write the Harlem rapper a $3 million check, instead he simply invested the money in his new project.
He tells XXL,

"What he was saying was, when you look at his deal, between the marketing, the promotion, the A&R budget, the advance, the life of the deal--this is what it comes up to. It's no different than an NBA contract if you factor in bonuses. It was definitely a competitive deal, and it was worth every penny, but it wasn't 3 million dollars in his pocket."

While he didn't dish out $3 million to the A$AP crew head, Leach remained mum on the exact number the rapper was paid.

"That's putting out his personal business. It was a competitive deal. I will say that every single label out there was trying to sign the kid, and he took one or two meetings and went with his gut and his heart. It wasn't because of money. It wasn't a big a** bidding war. But it was a competitive deal. It also factors in his A$AP Crew."

DMX has turned into a model citizen.

Just a week after mopping up a Waffle House in South Carolina, the Dark Man X was spotted vacuuming a club in the Palmetto State.

"The minute you get too big to mop a floor or wipe a counter, that's the exact minute you have life Fawked up," DMX said of cleaning up in Waffle House last week.

TMZ obtained footage of DMX's clean up efforts if anyone wants to see it for your own eyes. At least X isn't out here doing drugs and getting arrested.
