Two Men Jailed For Burning Man's Genitals With Hair Flat Iron

In what has to be the weirdest piece of news we've heard today, two British men in were sentenced to two years in prison this week after they admitted to burning a man's genitals with of all things, a hair straightening iron.

The NY Daily News reports:

Christopher Lilley and Richard Johnson admitted they pushed Antony Dabbs, 18, onto a bed and put the straightening iron on his private parts during a meeting over drug debts, London's The Daily Mail reported.

Isn't there some kind of "Man Law" associated with putting a flat iron to a man's genitals? If not there should be.

"Whilst it might've lasted only moments, the application of the straighteners was sufficient to cause full thickness burns to the penis," Judge Susan Grocott said, according to the The Dail Mail.

The incident happened last March after the two men attacked Dabbs over an unpaid drug debt for a substance called mephedrone, a dangerous stimulant known also known as "bath salts."

"He felt a burning pain for a minute, but then the pain went and he didn't feel anything," prosecutors said, also stating that the attack only ceased when three girls ran into the room and yelling out "you're sick!"

Dabbs was left with a 2 cm by 5 cm-wide burn.

"Antony says he suffered months of embarrassment, indignity and pain because of the injury," the prosecutor also added.

Dabbs and his family relocated away from the area of out fear of following attacks.

Moral of the story, don't sell drugs, or run the risk of getting your nuts burned off. Or something like that.

Baby Thrown from Car Recovering; 3 Arrested

A 14-month-old baby girl was taken to the hospital, after the child was thrown from a car during a shoplifting attempt at a K-Mart store in Columbia, South Carolina.

According to reports, the child was taken to the hospital's intensive care unit following the incident on Thursday night, and is now listed in stable condition.

The child suffered several injuries, including broken ribs, a collapsed lung and abrasions.

Reports state that 21-year-old Cortney Palmer and the child's mother 20-year-old Courtney Nicole Francetta Mace entered the K-Mart store around 9 p.m., attempted to shoplift and were confronted by a store security guard.

A third woman, 22-year-old Kimberly Moody, waiting in the car became aware of the confrontation inside, and sped off in the vehicle.

In doing so, the 14-month-old, who was unsecured, fell out of the car.

Police say Moody stopped the car, picked up the baby, and brought her inside to her mother.

The child's mother was charged with two counts of assault and battery and unlawful conduct towards a child.

Palmer was charged with shoplifting, while Moody was also charged with unlawful conduct toward a child.

A second child was in the car, but was unharmed.

Investigators say the women tried to steal two bottles of body spray, a bottle of body wash, a stick of deodorant, a pair of earrings, and a pack of tissue totaling $29.61.

Times are hard, so if these women where trying to steal baby diapers, that would be one thing, but babies don't need deodorant or earrings.

This is sadly another example of black girls lost.

Lets pray these children survives the hands of their unfit mothers.

Pictures of the women are below.

Teen Girl Shot And Killed At Brighton Beach In Brooklyn

16-year-old high school student, Tysha Jones, was shoot and killed during a shooting at Brighton Beach in Brooklyn on Thursday.

According to reports, a fight broke out on the boardwalk around 5:20 p.m., moments later, a gunman opened fire on the crowd, killing the 16-year-old Jones and inuring four others.

The New York Daily News reports:

Once gun shots rang out onlookers scurried into nearby stores and restaurants, huddling in fear as the bullets flew near the oceanfront, witnesses said.

"It was chaotic," said a 48-year-old Queens woman who was visiting Brighton Beach. "We looked at the boardwalk and everyone was running north. It was hectic. It was panic."

The teen ― identified by friends as Tysha Jones, a Norman Thomas High School― was shot under the left armpit, cops said.

She later died at Coney Island Hospital, where a 23-year-old man was clinging to life with a gunshot wound to his stomach.

Tykwan Beckett, 23, and two other men ― ages 25 and 26 ― were taken to Lutheran Hospital. All were expected to survive.

The two injured bystanders ― one hit inside Tatiana Restaurant ― were among those in stable condition, sources said.

"I hope that somebody comes forward," said Beckett's sister, Ebony, 27. "If they don't stop him, [the shooter is] going to keep going."

Condolences go out to the family and friends of Tysha Jones.

Cries to stop the violence continue to fall on deaf ears.

Anthony Weiner Admits To Sending Lewd Pictures

Rep. Anthony Weiner has probably seen better days in his, but yesterday wasn't one of them.

Yesterday, the Democratic Congressman admitted to sending pictures of himself to women through his phone, Facebook and Twitter, or to break it down in urban terms, he was "sexting heauxs."

This wouldn't be such a big deal if Weiner wasn't married to Huma Abedin, who is a longtime personal assistant to Hillary Clinton.

They don't really play that adultery stuff in politics. Just ask Schwarzenegger.

In a press conference yesterday, the 46-year-old politician admitted to engaging in "several inappropriate" electronic relationships with six women over the last three years.

He also confessed that he lied publicly about a photo of himself that he sent on Twitter to a college student in Seattle a couple weeks back.

"I take full responsibility for my actions," Weiner said in the press conference. "The picture was of me, and I sent it."

Rule #1: Facebook and Twitter will get you caught up, so be careful.

Rule #2: Never send pictures of your "weiner" to anyone.

Rep. Weiner must not have received copies of that rule book.

Eddie Long's New Birth Announces Staff, Salary Cuts

The drama continues for Biship Eddie Long as its been reported that his New Birth Missionary Baptist Church has laid off two-full time ployees and will be reducing salaries by 10%.

The church also initiated a "pilot program" trimming the work week down from 5 to 4 days.

New Birth released a statement saying,

"Like numerous other churches and charitable organizations across Georgia and the rest of the country, New Birth and its faith community have been impacted by the nationwide downturn in the economy."

However it remains unclear whether Long's salary will be affected.

The statement read that Long's compensation is determined by an independent board, "in conjunction with advice and counsel of New Birth's CPAs and tax advisers, all in accordance with IRS regulations."

Hmmm. Peep the video and you decide.

These days with the game being so bureaucratic, rappers have to have a political/business side to make it big.

Not only have rappers become presidents of record labels and companies – Jay-Z (Def Jam), JD (Def Jam), Jim Jones (VP, Koch), DJ Khaled (Def Jam South) – but Wyclef tried to take it to the next level when he unsuccessfully attempted to become the Prez of Haiti.

While Wyclef may be the first rapper to attempt to run for president of a country, he isn't the only MC who we can see carrying the title of commander and chief in some way, shape, form or fashion.

Here are five other rappers who could fictionally be someone's H.N.I.C.

At about 8:20 p.m. Saturday evening, a riot erupted in a 1,300-man, medium-security prison after a fight between African American and Latino inmates. After the unit was locked down, 55 inmates were taken to hospitals from the California Institution for Men in Chino.

According to the L.A.Times, anarchy ensued and lasted about four hours in the dormitory-style barracks of the Reception Center West.

Inmates ripped locker doors from the walls, broke pipes and demolished beds, arming themselves with the broken metal pieces. A fire was somehow sparked in the mist of the melee and left one dormitory so badly burnt it is no longer suitable living space.

The riot marks the most significant and violent upheaval in the prison since December 2006 when 200 inmates rioted, once again, sparked by Latino and African American friction.

California's prisons are said to the the most crowded in the nation. "Appalling," is the word a panel of three federal judges used to describe the conditions of the prisons whose population must be shrunk by 43,000 inmates in the next two years to fulfill constitutional standards.

Following a 2005 Supreme Court decision that found automatic segregation to be illegal, Chino and other California prisons are moving away from the historic practice of separating inmates by race.

Inmates may now share cells with prisoners of different races. The barracks involved in the rioting had been fully integrated.

More than 80 officers surrounded the barracks and demanded the inmates come out. Once the chaos was subdued the officers has used pepper spray and foam projectiles to remove the prisoners who had locked themselves inside.

Around 7 a.m. the barracks were empty and more than 250 inmates had suffered injuries ranging from minor cuts to serious stab wounds and head trauma. Hargrove confirmed more than 17 of the injured remained hospitalized as of Sunday evening.

As a result of the riot, visitation was suspended indefinitely and all prisoners were placed on lockdown.

A poster of Obama in make-up resembling the Joker, a character from the film "The Dark Knight," went viral immediately in the streets of Los Angeles, under the image is the word "socialism." The "artist" remains silent.

As if the picture isn't discourteous enough, the implication of Obama single-handedly reforming government and society into socialism completely undermines the mission and agenda of his presidency.

The phantom artist created the poster from the October 2006 issue of Time Magazine featuring Obama on the cover and added the "Joker" face to the shot, according to the Associated Press.

According to various reports, the poster has been circulated and spotted throughout different parts of L.A. and Hollywood since Monday (August 3), particularly on highway ramps and underpasses. There have been reports of poster sightings in Atlanta as well.

Earl Ofari Hutchinson, L.A. activist and columnist has beckoned the creator(s) to come forward, announce themselves and explain the motivation behind the poster.

"Depicting the president as demonic and a socialist goes beyond political spoofery," says Hutchinson, "it is mean-spirited and dangerous.
"We have issued a public challenge to the person or group that put up the poster to come forth and publicly tell why they have used this offensive depiction to ridicule President Obama."

On behalf of the staff here at HipHopWired.com, we join Hutchinson and encourage the mastermind behind the poster to make themselves known, exercise their freedom of speech and explain his/her intention. Such a statement deserves expounding. Otherwise, remaining mute could be rendered just as cowardly as white sheets and burning crosses. Just saying.
