Master P's younger brother C-Murder was denied an appeal of the life sentence he's serving for 2nd Degree Murder. Murder, born Corey Miller, was found guilty of shooting 16-year-old Steve Thomas on Jan. 12, 2002, at a now-closed nightclub in Harvey, Louisiana.

Miller, 38, was initially found guilty after a 2003 trial but was ordered a stand trial again by the presiding judge who ruled that prosecutors withheld pertinent background information on three of the defense's witnesses. The Supreme Court then upheld the request, which left the case open for a new trial. C-Murder was then convicted in August of 2009, and sentenced to life without parole. On the grounds of not being given a fair trial, Miller requested an appeal, which was heard by a three judge panel at the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals.

The man thought by many to be the prime suspect in the 2003 murder of promising New Orleans rapper Soulja Slim was found shot to death in New Orleans, Saturday (August 13).

The body of 29-year-old Garelle Smith was discovered by NOPD early Saturday morning with gunshots to the head and chest.

Smith had been linked to several murders in New Orleans, although he had never been convicted partly due to lack of witness cooporation.

Slim, real name James Tapp, was killed on Thanksgiving Eve in 2003.

The former No Limit Records artist was shot eight times in front of his mother's home in the Gentilly section of New Orleans.

Authorities believe that Smith, along with another man named Stephen Kennedy carried out a $10,000 hit on Tap over a dispute with a local record company.

Master P retired from the rap game in 2006 and although he's moved on to bigger and better ventures, the New Orleans mogul is revamping some songs for the soundtrack of his film, Get Money.

The movie which also stars Gucci Mane features music from the No Limit Records archives that has been dusted off and polished for release.

The first single is a song entitled "Meagan Good" and P explains the title. “I've been talking to Meagan Good on the phone and decided to give the song a character and named it ‘Meagan Good' since she is one of the finest actresses in the game right now," Master P said.

The soundtrack also features guest appearances by Snoop Dogg, Waka Flocka Flames, Rick Ross, Chris Brown, Eastwood, Silkk the Shocker, and others.

Master P sounds like he may want to seriously get back in the booth, "And now that Gucci Mane is [on his way] home, we bout to go hard. I felt like I got my second wind working with hot new artists..."

Rap mogul Master P may have gotten off easy in the latest news surrounding his child support battle with his ex-wife Sonya Miller.

According to TMZ, Master P, real name Percy Miller, was ordered to pay just $271 in child support per month for each of their four children (that's $1,084 per month, if you need us to do the math for you).

TMZ reports:

According to docs filed back in March, Mr. P (real name Percy Miller) was ordered to pay ex-wife Sonya the minuscule amount (by his standards) based on a monthly income of just $1,387.

We're told P's ex has been trying to get his real financials, to no avail so far. So the Dept. of Child Support Services hit him with the minimum until they can assess his true worth.

The Millers have six children, four of whom are minors -- Tytyana, Italy, Hercy and Mercy.

Master P's net worth is believed to be well over $100 million, so sooner or later the P will probably have to come up off a little bit more child support than that.

Just to compare, Nas pays $5,000 per month to Kelis for their one child (and $20,000 to Kelis in spousal support).

Nas might want to get with Master P's lawyers.

On another note, Master P's ex-wife Sonya Miller gave up her rap career to raise the couple's children, including rapper/actor Lil Romeo and five other kids.

Sonya Miller was an artist on Master P's No Limit Records who went by the stage name Sonya C.

She released a solo album, Married to the Mob, in 1993, and was an original member of the No Limit group TRU.

We're not taking Sonya Miller's side in this case, but this is a woman that has been down with Master P. long before he was the "Ice Cream Man" and went on to fame and fortune in the rap game.

You owe the woman more than $271 per month, Percy.

Master P and his No Limit soldiers are planning a comeback and anniversary tour.

No Limit Forever, the indie label founded by Master P's son Romeo Miller, is planning a 20 city tour to celebrate No Limit Record's 20th anniversary.

A celebration concert featuring performances by Master P, Silk The Shocker, and Romeo will take place this Sunday in Houston, Texas at the House of Blues.

The concert will also features acts on the new No Limit digital record label---Black Don & D, Bengie B., Gangsta, T-Bo, Co-RUff, Southdown, Ms. Chee, Ace High, OakTree, Kay-I, Propain, Dallas Blocker and others.

2011 marks the 20 years since Master P's first album, Get Away Clean, was released in 1991.

No Limit Records went on to sell over 75 million plus records, and helped pioneer southern hip-hop.

Master P And Romeo Donate To A California Middle School

In an effort to follow in his father's footsteps, Romeo Miller has been doing everything from "Dancing With The Stars", to gracing late night TV. He's never too busy, however to give a helping hand.

Alongside his father Master P., Romeo recently visited Los Angeles' Audubon Middle School to stir up some interest in education.

The two are rewarding students who stand out academically by giving them brand new computers.

In 2010 Audubon reported some of the lowest test scores for the standardized state tests.

After raising it's overall average, the Millers took notice of this and wanted to recognize their outstanding efforts.

"This is extremely important to me, middle school children are at the age of defining their lives," said Romeo.

"It is necessary for them to know people care and want them to do well and sometimes when they do well, they are greatly rewarded, giving them the computers is just our way of letting them know this."

While celebrating another year of life, yesterday, Romeo Miller was also working hard to ensure that other youth have the same opportunity.

The rapper/actor held a star-studded Birthday Bash Block Party yesterday for his 21^st birthday, and also used the event to raise money and awareness for youth with cancer.

Held at Millions of Milkshakes in West Hollywood, the party's invited guest included  Rob Kardashian, Megan Good, Victoria Justice, Selena Gomez, Ron Artest, Big Time Rush, Rashad McCants, Robbie Arnell, Ashley Argota, Ray J and many more but the major theme was bringing awareness to the crippling disease.

Romeo who partnered up with organization CureForKidsCancer.org after recently visiting kids in Children's Hospital had this to say,

“Now that I'm a man, I realize that life is not about how much money you make or the material things you acquire. Life is about love, loving your family, loving others, and loving God by helping others in need. It's not about what you have but what you do with what you have that matters and that's why I give.”

Romeo added that he felt the need to help because,

“There are so many young minority kids with cancer that can't afford treatment.”

CureForKidsCancer.org is an organization providing emotional support for parents, siblings and oncology patients, linking children and families with similar diagnoses and solutions.

As previously reported, Miller signed on to host a benefit concert to raise money for the embattled country of Haiti and helped to feed and clothe the homeless for Christmas.

Now P's at it again, this time judging a mixed martial arts fight with proceeds going to the country's recovery process.

P is set to judge the battle on April 9^th in Pasadena, Texas.

The fight features WGC Fighter Sam Hoger alongside other WGC allstars with celebrities LeToya Luckett, Chamillionaire and Vince Young scheduled to attend.

Speaking on his new role as judge, Master P released a statement on the upcoming event saying,

“Mixed martial arts is the fastest growing sports in the world. And to have the WGC bring awareness to education and helping the kids in Haiti get back into the school systems, I'm in. Together we can make a difference.”

Well P has allegedly written a blog expressing his thoughts and his disappointment in Wayne's choice.  Taking Wayne's pick a lil' too seriously, P sounds as if the fate of N.O. weighed on Birdman Jr.'s pick.

I mean really, it's only a game.  Not like their win is gonna bring proceeds to fix up the Black neighborhoods since Hurricane Katrina although The French Quarters and Bourbon Street look like they were never touched.  Read Percy Miller's disappointment below:

“As a young child growing up in New Orleans, I always wanted to see the Saints go to the Super Bowl,” said P. “I've always worn black and gold colors as No Limit Jerseys and always represented for the New Orleans Saints by wearing their caps and jerseys.  The comment Lil Wayne made about New Orleans Saints losing to the Minnesota Vikings, made no sense to me as a New Orleans native.  This is our hope as a city after surviving Hurricane Katrina. This team should bring us together as people. I understand that he has the right to have his own opinion and comment or even root for another team if he wants to.

It's just disappointing to hear this coming from a brother who was born and raised in New Orleans, made money off his music representing the city of New Orleans, talking about it in his lyrics.  I'm from Uptown New Orleans and I don't care who the Saints play against, how good the opposing team is, nor what the odds are against them. I would never go against my team, the New Orleans Saints, or root for an opposing team playing against them. We've been waiting to get to the Super Bowl for 40 years and if we do, we will celebrate in Second Line.

I guess we won't be hearing any Superbowl songs from Lil Wayne unless the Vikings win. This is sad for the fans in the city of New Orleans because they really thought Lil Wayne was down.  Most entertainers and athletes don't realize that once you're in the spotlight, you need to think about some of the things that you say because it will follow you throughout your career, good or bad.”

Now P,  we agree with the last part of your statement about entertainers and athletes not realizing what they say at times can come back to haunt them but this clearly ain't the case.
