Nelly Plans New Talk Show

"We're working on kind of like the male version of 'The View.' We're working on that."

As television shows become more and more accessible, more and more celebrities are signing on to take the reins.

Now the latest to express interest in television is Nelly who's revealing aspirations to host a television show.

According to Nelly, he and his Ocean's 7 mega group would host a talk-show similar to the popular ABC daytime show “The View.”
Speaking on Ocean's 7 he confirms the rumors of an upcoming show to Black Voices Buzz saying,

“Not sure if you're familiar with the Ocean's 7 Crew. It's me, Jermaine Dupri, Trey Songz, Johnta Austin, Bryan Michael Cox and Tyrone "International" Davis. We're working on kind of like the male version of '"The View." We're working on that..."

Speaking on the concept of the show, Nelly compares it to a popular movie saying that it will have a similar concept.

“You ever seen that movie called 'The Ugly Truth?' You know how the guy had his show; well we're working on that.”

No word on what network would pick up the show.

If this does happen, I can't say I wouldn't be watching….

Jermaine Dupri Owes Over $3 Million In Taxes

Jermaine Dupri has seen his name in the news lately for positive reasons. Most recently JD's been in the headlines for his work alongside his Ocean's 7 family member Nelly for Atlanta flood victims and for adding diversity to his portfolio by working with rock band Weezer.

Now however JD's name has been added to a growing list of celebrities going through tax woes.

The state of Georgia filed a tax lien against him Tuesday for $135, 749. That's just the beginning of his troubles however considering that the IRS filed a $3,095,004 lien against him in September.

According to his attorney James Kane, JD's currently working on getting the liens removed and told the Detroit News his client successfully made payments on the money past due.

“I can assist you in telling you that all of the taxes have been paid and my law firm has been, and is, in the process of getting the liens removed in normal course. As to any other information, you can certainly understand under the attorney-client privilege that I am not able make any further comment."

Riiiiiight.

Just recently JD and his incarcerated So So Def sister, Da Brat were sued by a woman who Brat assaulted at his Studio 72 club. No word on the amount asked for in that law suit.

Jermaine Dupri And Da Brat Sued

Jermaine Dupri has been moderately silent on the music scene,only lending his talents to the mixtape circuit through his Ocean's 7 super group, but now his name is back in the limelight after an old incident at his club is resurrecting back to life.

Shayla Stevens, a former worker at JD's ‘Studio 72' club in Atlanta, is suing him and his old So So Def signee, Da Brat. The ex-Falcons cheerleader filed a civil lawsuit against both parties Tuesday for the infamous 2007 incident where Da Brat smashed her in the face with a rum bottle causing serious and permanent injuries.

According to Stevens and her lawsuit, Shawntae Harris a.k.a. Da Brat has a criminal record and violent past of assaulting women. It also alleges that Jermaine Dupri, club promoter Joseph London, and club security did not protect her from Brat during the Halloween party where the incident occurred in '07.

Brat is currently in prison serving a three year term based on the altercation. As previously reported, she is also said to be putting on a prison talent show at the Alto, Georgia prison where she's incarcerated titled “Showtime At The Alto.”
