Sticky has been dropping new heat lately and the blaze continues with his latest visual that reveals how it really goes down behind the scenes in the Hip-Hop industry.

The Onyx MC also gets his "white face" on. After watching this, we can name a few rappers whose deal probably went down a lot like this.

“I didn't even know the n*gga like that, but the feeling I felt, it was like my best friend just died.”

Everything in the world is born and finds a means to live, but ultimately comes to an end, even if only for the time being.

Onyx member Fredro Starr has been bringing his Tales Of The Industry, which has ran through 12 crazy episodes ranging from beef with 50 Cent to Wu Tang to his encounters with the late Big Pun.

Closing out, the rapper reflects on those that have come and gone from his life as he speaks on his brief relationship with Notorious B.I.G. that was cut short as a result of the tragic shooting.

First being introduced to the late rapper during a studio session with Naughty By Nature and Onyx, the rapper openly admitted that first seeing the large silhouette of B.I.G. didn't make either of the groups think too much of him as he stood next to Puff Daddy, but he easily changed their opinions.

“Back in the days, whoever could say the most f&$ked up Shyte, that's what was hot.  Whoever could say the most grimiest Shyte.”

Something as gut wrenching as the word ‘Castration' indicated to Starr that Biggie would be the biggest star in Hip Hop.

During the rise of Ready To Die and the preparation for Life After Death, Starr added that the two were able to quickly vibe off one another in the short time they had until the Vibe awards.

“Fawk that!  Right now I'm going crazy, n*gga tried to swing on me, Fawk that.  We gon get it poppin.  In the meantime, they was stompin my man out.”

For Onyx member Fredro Starr, the industry has had its ups and downs, but the rapper has never been afraid to tell it like it is.

Reported earlier with Starr's Tales of the Industry series, Starr continued with his story on the origins of the beef that existed between 50 Cent and Onyx.

After going back and forth with diss records, Starr states that he still has overall respect for Fif and considered him to be a real dude, especially after taking the nine shots.  In an attempt to re-link with Jackson, Starr went to the shoot of the music video for “Wanksta”.

Tagging along was a friend known as Tah Tah, who wa actually referenced in “Who Shot Ya” and “Ghetto Qu'ran” from 50 Cent and the sight of Tah with Starr caused Fif to take another second look at the Onyx member.

“I don't know, maybe he thought I was trying to set him up bringing Tah Tah to the set, but it wasn't even like that.  We ain't have no intentions to hurt nobody or intentions to do anything wrong to a n*gga, even though your man Tah always stay with that thing on him.”

Although the meeting went without any dispute, there would be a tailspin of trouble between the two which was initiated when Starr made a trip to Vegas to deal with Bang Em Smurf.

“When 50's verse came on, when it was his time to rock, he got the mic in his hand, but then Scar 4 Life comes out of nowhere and starts doin his Shyte…I knew he felt a certain kind of way cause he was down with us, but he wasn't official, he was down with us on the strength of Jay, so he just walked off the stage.”

Back in the days before Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson was the financially inclined, beef driven individual that stands today, he was a rapper from Southside Jamaica Queens trying to find his own way into the music industry.

As Fredro Starr of the group Onyx pulls another page form his own Tales of the Industry, he speaks on the past beef between 50 Cent and Onyx and how exactly it all started.

At the time both were under Jam Master Jay's label and both entities had the common ground of Southside so it would only make sense that they would have similarities in dealing with particular struggles while coming up.

While prepping the third album Shut Em Down, Jam Master Jay was actually the person who spoke up for Fif and told Onyx they should look into working with him, which culminated into the track “React”.

Jealousy amongst the group, however, would cause a member of Onyx to pull a move on 50 during a performance which resulted in retaliation on the infamous track “How to Rob”.

Be on the lookout for Pt. 2

“My man I was doing Clockers with called me, cuz he live in Staten Island, a couple of days later like ‘Yo, heard you and ODB had a little problem.  Them Wu n*ggas is tryna get at you.'”

Pride is something that can make and break a man.  While it allows a person to stand up for himself, it also is a means for a man to do something stupid strictly based off of having their pride or ego hurt.

While there have been many publicized battles and beef in Hip-Hop, there are still some chapters that have been left untold and the pages have not been looked into.

Providing another episode from his Tales of the Industry, rapper Fredro Starr spoke on an altercation between himself and the late ODB where the Staten Island rapper seemed to want to cause some type of raucous while Starr and Onyx were at the Palladium.

“We just chillin and Shyte, minding our own business, then here comes your man ODB.  He just comes up to Sticky and just starts looking the n*gga in the face, grillin the n*gga Sticky.  So him and Sticky are going face-to-face grilling each other and I'm like, ‘Yo, why the Fawk this n*gga ODB grillin my man like that?, that Shyte is kinda crazy, what the Fawk is going on?'”

Already in an off move, Starr wasn't much for talk and felt that if something was going to happen, it needed to happen.   His pride as a man was tested by ODB once he set his sights on him.

“I'm in a no nonsense attitude, so I'm like, ‘Ya'll n*ggas gonna sing it or ya'll gonna bring it cuz I ain't tryna hear none of that Shyte.'  So then your man ODB took his attention off Sticky and then he comes up to me and puts his finger in my cheek and just goes[pushes his face]  Why he do that?  Why he gonna put his hands on my face and try and mush a n*gga?  I did what any real n*gga would do and hooked off on a n*gga.”

The tussle wouldn't last long as Dirty was taken from the club, but the residual effects of Starr's actions were felt after some days passed by and he was informed that the Clan was on the lookout for him.

“Now it's a beef between Onyx and Wu Tang, but nobody really knew about this Shyte, only them n*ggas knew about it and I knew about it and a couple of other n*ggas from the industry.  It wasn't some big Shyte on the radio, Flex wasn't talking about it, nobody was really talking about the Shyte.”

Months pass by and Starr is approached by ODB and his crew during a car show.  Thinking that something is about to pop off, Starr would find out Dirty was there to actually apologize and has actually mistaken Sticky for Kind Just.  After a handshake and a smoke break, the feud between those two was over.

Looking to end any potential beef with the rest of the members of each group, both ended up sitting down with one another and agreeing to go on tour and officially putting a close on future problems.

For those that know Fredro Star, novices may remember him in movies such as Sunset Park, Light It Up and Save the Last Dance. Hip-Hop knows him as a member of Onyx releasing hits such as “Slam” and “Throw Ya Gunz.”

Although the group has been quiet for some time, the rapper/actor has continued to make noise in the industry.

Taking to the web with Tales From the Industry, the rapper has decided to give accounts of some stories of him in the rap game.

One story dealt with the possibility of him joining the ranks of Death Row Records.

According to the rapper, the meeting took place during the premiere of his film Sunset Park. Tupac actually had a song that was featured on the soundtrack and was in attendance along with Suge Knight.  After the film ended and everybody was outside taking pictures, Starr and Pac were taking pictures and talking back and forth while Suge just watched.

“This n*gga Suge just sitting there with the cigar in the background looking all mean and Shyte.  He ain't saying nothing.  Every time I look at this ni*gga Suge, I look at the ni*gga and turn to the side like I ain't fu*cking with this ni*gga and I ain't catching no eye contact with this ni*gga.”

After taking so much time out for silence, he told the rapper to take a walk with him and Pac as they made a trip out to the parking lot and Knight kept it simple.

“I want you on Death Row Records.”

At the time, Fredro Starr was on Def Jam Records.  Even more than that, he was a part of Onyx and was with Jam Master Jay.  According to him, however, Suge wanted him to leave it all behind him and if necessary, he would take care of his business at Def Jam.

As the wheels started to turn, it was actually Pac's expression that made the rapper think twice about the deal that was on the table.

“The funny thing about this Shyte is, you know Tupac is an animated ni*gga and you see he's always full of life, but when I looked at Pac, when he told me that shi*t, the n*gga looked at like he was saying, ‘Hell no, you don't wanna come over here.'  That was the look in the n*ggas eye.”

Although initially excited about the offer, it was through Brandy that he was able to see some clarity of the situation.  Stating that she was almost in tears and telling him not to deal with him, the rapper said that he took her words and decided not to get back at Suge and do business with him.

Six months later, Pac was murdered and Fredro feels as though  he could have been doing records with Pac, and he could have also been in the car that night.

As reported earlier, Dame has been clawing his way back to the top since collapsing with the fall of Roc-A-Fella and his break up with Jay-Z.  From documentaries to music to clothing, the ultimate hustler has been in the process of reclaiming his place as one of the top entrepreneurs within the Hip-Hop industry.

Every road has its share of bumps to go over, however, as one of his upcoming projects has cleary rubbed the rap group the wrong way.

"N*ggas is biting the whole Fawkin' movement. The 'Black Rock' Shyte, we been rocking with that. Now I'm hearing other n*iggas coming out with it...I ain't sayin' no Fawkin' names. You know what it is man, holla at me n*ggass, 100 mad n*ggas with guns n*ggas, stop playing games with me!"

Now although Lil Wayne has become heavily influenced with the rock genre, it doesn't take the most intelligent to put the pieces together and give up the name that they are making reference to. 

Part of Dame's revival was working alongside the group Black Keys to produce the album BlakRoc which would blend rock and rap and feature artists such as Jim Jones, Mos Def and Ludacris.  The album has been scheduled for a release on Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving. 

Onyx has also been planning their comeback with an album titled Black Rock.  The project was originally supposed to hit around 2006-2007 and again at the beginning of 2009, but it never materialized.  Their sound has always seemed to have a rock influence as their high-octane energy and hardcore appeal found them performing at metal shows more as opposed to rap concerts. 

If anybody remembers how Dame was in the Def Jam offices, he is not a man that most want to have a problem with as he chooses to find a means through the obstacles placed in front of him.  Whatever the case may be and whoever thought of the concept first, both projects seems to be good for Hip-Hop overall so maybe we should just let it slide.

On Wednesday, Sept. 23 VH1 had their Hip Hop Honors 2009 show which commemorated the 25th anniversary of Def Jam Records. Hosted by Tracy Morgan, the entire show was devoted to saluting the pioneering record label.

Hip Hop's house band, The Roots, opened the show with their version of LL Cool J's classic “Rock the Bells” with Eminem grabbing the second verse. Kid Rock performed LL's classic "I'm Bad" and even djed during the show, as did Ed Lover.

Public Enemy performed "Rebel Without a Pause" themselves because who else's voice could deliver those lines as well as Chuck D? You know Flav made a spectacle but the real show was the group's performance with Roots, S1W, Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello and Boots Riley. Onyx did their hit "Slam" themselves too.

The teacher KRS-One and newcomers Wale and the Gym Class Heroes rocked "No Sleep Till Brooklyn" originally done by the Beastie Boys.

Rick Ross, Fabolous, Foxy "fresh off a s*x tape scandal" Brown, Redman, Method Man, Mary J. Blige, EPMD, Ghostface, Chrissette Michele, Warren G, Trey Songz, the newly reunited Ashanti and Ja Rule, Ludacris and DMX made appearances too. Also reuniting for the show was DMX and Ja Rule who talked to each other and even hugged.

Many of those who made appearance also came together for a closing medley of Def Jam hits with The Roots.

Sounds like everybody in the rap game was involved, but it wasn't. Guess who didn't make appearances? Last nights no shows included Jay-Z, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nominee LL Cool J, Beastie Boys (for obvious reasons) and Rihanna.

Also commemorating Def Jam's anniversary this year is iconic sneaker brand Adidas. Check out some of the Def Jam inspired gear they came up with when they teamed up with Redman here.
