Dr. Dre has had his fair share of beefs over the years with former partners like Suge Knight, Eazy-E and Ice Cube,  and now PETA has thrown its name into the "FCUK Dre" hat.

The animal rights organization is upset with the good Dr. and designer Oscar de la Renta who are about to release a limited edition  pair of Beats By Dre headphones wrapped in silver fox fur. 

PETA representative Michelle Cho issued an open  letter to Dre advocating for the headphones to be discontinued. Part of the letter read:

We wanted to get in touch to urge you to keep fur and exotic-animal skins out of your Beats by Dre designs.  Foxes, minks, rabbits, and other animals including cats and dogs—are bludgeoned, genitally electrocuted, strangled with wire nooses, drowned, and even skinned alive for their pelts.

You have a tremendous amount of influence on young people.  Won't you please consider using your platform to advocate kindness toward animals by pledging never to design with real fur and exotic skins?

The Fox Fur Beats By Dre Headphones run a whopping $695.

I doubt PETA has that much to worry about as these won't be mass produced for this price.

The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals weren't fond of Rihanna's latest choice of fashion.

According to reports, while attending a launch for her perfume at a department store in London last week, the 23-year-old pop star wore a top made of ostrich feathers, and that was enough to get PETA's vegan panties in a bunch.

Daily Mail reports:

The move has enraged animal rights group PETA, who claim that the feathers used to create the garment could have been collected cruelly.

"Rihanna is flaunting stolen property, in this case feathers possibly plucked right off their rightful owners' backs," PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) spokeswoman Sandra Smiley told the Daily Star.

"She has shown little regard for foxes, cows and reptiles, now she's adding birds to the list of species exploited for her dubious looks."

"Feathers are often ripped off chickens, geese, ostriches and emus in live plucking. This can result in gaping wounds that are sewn up with a needle and thread without anaesthetic," she said.

Controversially, Smiley referenced the domestic abuse suffered by Rihanna at the hands of her ex boyfriend Chris Brown.

"We keep hoping that Rihanna, a victim of violence herself, will learn to open her heart and start empathising with the suffering of others," she said.

"That includes the animals who are beaten, gassed, electrocuted and poisoned to be turned into fashion accessories," she added.

The man once surrounded by rumors of performing cruelty  to humans is speaking up on dog rights. Suge Knight is the new face of PETA joining Waka Flocka Flame in the campaign against dog chaining.

“Dogs deserve our love and attention not a life of ‘solitary confinement' at the end of a chain,” Knight said in a statement. “Chaining a dog is one of the cruelest things you can to do them – they are social animals.”

Yes dogs are social animals and we must do all we can to protect them in this crazy society we live in. Suge Knight is the perfect spokesperson to scare us regular people into not chaining up dogs.

Waka Flocka's long awaited nude PETA campaign has been released.

Wearing nothing but strategically placed bling, rapper Waka Flocka Flame shows off his tattoos—and more—in his brand-new PETA campaign ad, which urges, "Ink, Not Mink. Be Comfortable in Your Own Skin and Let Animals Keep Theirs."

The ad was  shot by top celebrity photographer Robert Sebree for the campaign that's soon to feature Britney Spears and Lady Gaga.

In an exclusive PETA interview, Waka urges the hip-hop community to consider the animals who are cruelly killed for fur coats, collars, and cuffs.

"Understand where that fox fur came from before you spend $1,000…someone got their head beat in and electrocuted," he says "Understand what you buy, instead of just going off fashion and what it looks like—that's what I'd tell my community."

Waka also speaks out against forcing animals to perform in circuses.

"I don't agree with that at all," he says. "That sh*t is whack."

The Flockaveli MC is the first rapper to star in PETA's iconic "Ink, Not Mink" campaign.

Other musicians who have joined with PETA to speak out against fur include Pink, Kid Sister, Mark Ronson, Linkin Park's Chester Bennington, Gym Class Heroes' Travie McCoy, Dave Navarro, Chuck D, Masta Killa, Murs, and Mario, among many others.

When he was asked about the recent release of the XXL Magazine Freshmen list and what he thought about not being on the cover for the past two years, Waka proclaimed that he's beyond a freshman.

He remarked that not only did he come into the game as a veteran but, "Ain't nobody on that list can f**k with me..."

As previously reported, Waka signed on to pose nude for the anti-fur company that promotes ethical treatment of animals, and lately tattooed celebrities that opt for ink.

Along with Flame, Britney Spears and Lady Gaga will be featured in PETA's latest ad campaign that will feature them nude and showing off their tattoos.

His mother's Mizay Entertainment company has released a behind the scenes video of the photo shoot, showing a shirtless Flocka donning his signature chains and posing for the camera.

While Waka Flocka's known for his onslaught of tattoos and trademark dreads, one thing the ATL emcee is not known for is wearing fur.

And now it seems that his penchant for body art has caught the eyes of the people at PETA who've signed him on to be the new face of their “Ink Not Mink” campaign.

The campaign previously featured Taraji P. Henson, “Jackass” star Steve-O, Mario and singer Chester Bennington of Linkin Park.

The rapper's publicist has confirmed to XXL that Flocka will star alongside Lady Gaga, Pink and Mariah Carey for the ad on February 22 in Los Angeles, CA.

Speaking on his ties to the animal rights activists Flocka released a statement to the publication saying,

“Animals should be treated the same as you would a kid. Would you want someone just to walk up and skin your kid? Hell no!”

Did PETA make the right choice?

Now recently joined by the beautiful Taraji P Henson, despite being name a terrorist group by the U.S. Government, PETA has been fighting against the killing of animals for fur, food, lab testing, and other activities since 1980.

With over two million members, PETA is known for a lot of things including their protests, their red paint throwing on fur coats, and maybe the most popular are the ads.

For many years PETA has featured some of the sexiest celebrities who are down with saving the animals to pose nude in ads for them, and although PETA may not be a fan favorite to some, I'm sure their ads are.

The pictures show the rapper with his dog “Oprah” who he also created a Twitter page for, @OprahTheDog.

The dog, a miniature Schnauzer, was shown in a photo with 50 wearing a leg cast with the caption,

“This is my dog Oprah Winfrey. I broke her leg cause the PETA people threw paint on my coat. Fuck that!”

Following that he posted another picture showing himself holding a knife towards the dog.

Obviously not amused, PETA's Michelle Cho slammed the rapper saying

“Sorry 50 Cent but that pic is not funny considering how many calls we get from ppl (people) alerting us to dogs who really have been stabbed.”

To which 50 responded,

"Now this is to the Peta people: Stay off my motherf*cking Twitter page I don't give a f*ck!"
