The BMI President's Awards is presented to unique songwriters who or executives for their profound influence in the entertainment industry. Previous recipients include Juanes, Gloria Estefan, Taylor Swift, and WIllie Nelson.

Hosted by BMI President & CEO Del Bryant and Delia Orjuela, the 19th Annual BMI Latin Awards will also hand out trophies for the Latin Song, Songwriter, and Publisher of the Year.

DJ Absolut ft. Wyclef, Pitbull, Jim Jones, & Bounty Killer - My Generation

Nicki Minaj has been announced as the opening act for the American Music Awards.

As previously reported, Nicki was recruited by The AMAs to announce the nominees alongside Pitbull and is currently up for three awards.

At the awards Nicki will be joined by DJ David Guetta and perform their track "Where Them Girls At" featuring Flo Rida.

Previously announced performers include Mary J. Blige, Chris Brown, Christina Aguilera, Marc Anthony, Justin Bieber, Kelly Clarkson, LMFAO, Katy Perry, Pitbull, and Maroon 5.

The show will broadcast live from the NOKIA Theater Sunday November 20 from 8-11 p.m. EST on ABC.

Uncle Luke has had enough and is putting his foot down when it comes to out-of-town rappers taking residence in Miami and not contributing to the community.

Luther Campbell, once member of the 2 Live Crew and former Miami mayoral candidate is threatening Lil Wayne, DJ Khaled, Diddy and any other rapper that lives in Miami, Florida but is not an active contributor to the city's economy or residents.

Luke spoke to the Miami New Times and offered a January 1st deadline to these artists before they lose their access to go to clubs, ball games and touch Miami women.

"I'm tired of seeing these cats using up our beaches, soaking up our sunshine, taking over the nightclubs, and sleeping with our women without investing anything into the community. I want to know when Lil Wayne is going to do more than show up courtside at the American Airlines Arena," Campbell said.

Luke isn't just salty about them taking up space, he wants them to give back.

"Just cause Lil Wayne and DJ Khaled are from New Orleans doesn't mean they don't have to be a part of the community. They're  getting rich under fun and sun.

They rap in their songs about King of Diamonds and LIV nightclub, where Lil Wayne was partying it up with Dirk Nowitzki and the Dallas Mavericks after they beat the Miami Heat for the NBA championship."

"I want to see them doing fundraisers to help youth sports and after school programs. I want to see them at FCAT rallies. I want to see them do like Pitbull who works closely with the Kiwanis Club in Little Havana and DJ Irie who puts on a charity weekend for the Make-A-Wish Foundation."

Does Luke have a point? And how will he enforce the threat after the deadline if they don't contribute?

Although selling liquor isn't the drug game, the alcohol business is a multi-billion dollar industry and some rappers have figured out how to get a piece of the action.

Sean "Diddy" Combs, for example, endorses and develops Ciroc brand Vodka. So when Puffy blew a gasket over folks drinking Grey Goose and not Ciroc at the BET Hip-Hop Awards afterparty in Atlanta this past weekend, we kind of understand who he's so passionate about the brand.

As 100 degree weather gives way to cooler temperatures and Autumn knocks at our front doors, it's time to say goodbye to the summer of 2011.

This was the summer Maybach Music Group brought "Tupac Back," Lil Wayne showed us "How To Love," DJ Khaled, Rick Ross & YMCMB had the whole country "On One" and a white girl from the Bay Area associated "Gucci Gucci" with all the basic chicks.

Needless to say, this summer was one to remember.

Fall is finally here but as we say farewell to the summertime, here's a look back at the Top 25 Songs that provided our sunny season soundtracks for '11.

Beyonce is a late addition to MTV's Video Music Awards, but better late than never for the pop diva to join the festivities.

Lady Gaga, Adele, Bruno Mars, Chris Brown, Lil Wayne, and Pitbull are already on the roster. We're not sure what record she'll perform but she is nominated for three awards including Best Female Video, Best Choreography and Best Cinematography.

Let's just hope she's not in the same category as Taylor Swift and Kanye West isn't there sipping too much.

The VMA's will air Sunday at 9 P.M ET.

Lindsay Lohan Suing Pitbull

Rapper Pitbull is the subject of a new lawsuit, this time at the hands of Lindsay Lohan who claims he used disparaging lyrics with her name.
According to TMZ, Pitbull's song "Give Me Everything" featuring Neyo and written by songwriter "Afrojack" has a line that says,

"Hustlers move aside, so I'm tiptoein, keep flowin'...I got it locked up like Lindsay Lohan."

Obviously offended by the line, Lohan filed suit against the rapper via attorney Stephanie Ovadi claiming that, "the lyrics, by virtue of its wide appeal, condemnation, excoriation, disparaging or defamatory statements by the defendants about the plaintiff are destined to do irreparable harm to the plaintiff."

Her lawyer also adds that Lohan is a,

"Professional actor of good repute and standing in the Screen Actors Guild, is suing under the New York civil rights laws, which protects people from having their name exploited for commercial purposes."

The suit seeks an injunction to stop all of the defendants from broadcasting the song and unspecified damages.

While the world is observing the throne, Rolling Stone awarded royalty to another hip-hop veteran not named Jay-Z or Kanye West.

Rolling Stone took into consideration several factors, including album sales, Billboard's R&B/Hip-Hop and Rap Songs charts and total YouTube video views and Eminem stood alone at the top when it was all said and done.
