Michael Slager, the former Charleston, S.C. police officer that gunned down fleeing Black man Walter Scott, has pleaded guilty to the charges. The 35-year-old Slager admitted guilt for the April 2015 shooting as part of a plea agreement, and the Scott family views the moment as justice.

When University of Cincinnati police officer Ray Tensing shot and killed 43-year-old Samuel DuBose during a routine traffic stop this past July, he alleged that it was in self-defense. The cop claimed DuBose tried to flee and dragged said officer alongside the vehicle.

Deborah Danner, a Black woman with a history of mental issues, was shot and killed by the NYPD Tuesday (Oct. 18) night. NYPD Commissioner James O’Neill says his department “failed” the 66-year-old Danner after one of his sergeants gunned her down.
