Jurors have reached a partial verdict on former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich, who is accused of trying to sell Barack Obama's vacant U.S. Senate seat, among other allegations.

According to reports by The New York Times:

As they began a 10th day of deliberations on Monday morning, they told a federal court judge here that they had reached agreement on 18 of 20 criminal counts against Mr. Blagojevich, but were deadlocked on two others. An announcement of their verdict was expected after 1 p.m. Central.

Mr. Blagojevich, a Democrat whose former aides say once saw himself as a presidential contender, was tried on charges of wire fraud, attempted extortion, bribery, extortion conspiracy and bribery conspiracy.

The trial was Mr. Blagojevich's second on the charges. Nearly a year ago, another jury deadlocked on all but two of the counts against him.

This jury's decision may end, at last, the spectacle of Mr. Blagojevich's spiraling political career, which has played out here since shortly after Mr. Obama was elected president in November 2008.

Mr. Blagojevich, 54, and a lawyer and former state and federal lawmaker, was accused of trying to secure campaign contributions, a cabinet post or a new, high-paying job in exchange for his official acts as governor — whether that was picking a new senator, supporting particular legislation or deciding how to spend state money.

He has proclaimed his innocence again and again — on the witness stand, in television interviews and in a memoir he wrote.

If convicted on these charges, Gov. Rod Blagojevich could be serving Max B numbers.

According to the Philadelphia police, Jamal allegedly killed city cop Daniel Faulkner on the night of December 9^th 1981.  Although there was much physical evidence – non-matching ballistics, as well as admittedly coerced witness' testimonies - which proved otherwise; the prolific penman was still convicted and sentenced to death anyway.

Due to the defense's allegations of misconduct – no Amerikkkanized Afrikans on the jury, with police informants and relatives deciding Jamal's fate instead - and other unscrupulous circumstances surrounding the case, Mumia's allies are claiming that his Civil Rights were violated, and are seeking a probe that they suggest will unveil what many say was unjust practices by the Philadelphia courts and police.

President Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder are expected to be in Philly for the Independence Day festivities this weekend.  Mumia's backers are looking forward to being in their presence, so that they may bring the ‘Civil Rights Investigation' demand to their attention in person.

In previous months, the Attorney General's office has stated that they are aware of Jamal's case and his consideration for an appeal or Civil Rights Investigation will be determined at a later date.

Hardcore Mumia supporters are optimistic that as long as they continue the pressure in keeping the mounting international resistance against the political-prisoners' conviction, on the forefront - garnering substantial media attention – that the power of the people will be able to preserve his life, and also earn him his physical freedom.

Obama accepted McChrystal's resignation letter today with what he called “considerable regret” and nominated General Petraeus, the head of the U.S. Central Command to replace him.

The President made the announcement on his decision to relieve McChrystal of his duties in a press conference saying,

"It is the right thing for our mission in Afghanistan, for our military and for our country. I believe that it is the right decision for our national security. The conduct represented in the recently published article does not meet the standard that should be set by a commanding general."

The General was quoted in Rolling Stone bashing Vice President Biden saying,

“Are you asking about Vice President Biden?'  (Laughs) “Who's that?'

The writer of the Rolling Stone article also said that sources close to the General believe  he thought Obama” failed to connect"  and  thought Obama looked "uncomfortable and intimidated" by the room full of top military officials.

An advisor to McChrystal also adds that the first time The President met the general it was a “10 minute photo opp” saying,

“Obama clearly didn't know anything about him, who he was. Here's the guy who's going to run his f---ing war, but he didn't seem very engaged. The Boss (McChrystal) was disappointed."

Obama made sure to add that he did not oust the General based “out of any sense of personal insult” although a White House aide was quoted saying that The President was “angry” about the comment.

Taking place in Dallas, Texas on Sunday, Young was issued a Class C assault citation, according to CBS 11, and the player was cited as the prime suspect as a victim was left suffering "bodily injury".

According to reports, the fight was sparked after a man at the club insulted the University of Texas, which is Young's alma mater.

As of now, there have been no arrests planned in connection to the physical altercation.

As chairman of Global Infrastructure Partners,the Nigerian man aims “to make Gatwick a truly first class experience”.

"I don't have a profession," Smothers told police. "I kill people for money."

As the “contract” killing spree of a Detroit man on trial proceeds in court, a murderer pleaded guilty Monday to a number of casualties, including the wife of a police officer.

Vincent Smothers, 29, admitted to eight counts of second-degree murder along with a gun charge.

With his confession made two years ago to the eight deaths by his hands, he told investigators that each target was in connection to the drug trade, except the murder of Rose Cobb, 47, the day after Christmas in 2007.

While sitting in her van, Smothers approached the vehicle, smashed the window with a tire iron and shot the woman in the head.  This, however, was the point in which his mentality shifted.

"My stomach was in knots," Smothers told detectives after his April 2008 arrest, according to The Grio. "I felt like she was innocent. ... All the rest were dope dealers."

Essentially, Smothers was a contract killer that just had one wrong hit.

In exchange for the guilty plea, Smothers was given the minimum sentence of 52-years behind prison walls.  He has already been credited for time served since his initial arrest, so he could see the light of day by the time he's around 80.

Shane McClellan, 16, was walking home in the early hours of Tuesday when he was approached by a Black and Asian man.

According to his father, Tim McClellan, they initially asked him for a light, but then proceeded to maliciously attack him and even threatened him with a gun.

Adding insult to injury, the two men allegedly took cigarette butts and burned the back of his neck.

When asked about the attack, Shane stated that he was singled out solely because that was what his ancestors did to theirs.

With many swarming to local stores for cards, the NAACP has called for one particular "greeting" to be pulled, stating that it's content can be deemed as being racist.

It is a graduation greeting from Hallmark that says, "Hey world, we are officially putting you on notice."

The card features two characters that allegedly are using offensive language towards the Black community and warning them to watch their back.

According to Hallmark, when contacted by phone, it is merely a misunderstanding as the focus of the card refers to the solar system and uses the term "black holes" in regards to the universe.

Clearly, however, that's not how the card was received.

Listening to the card and hearing their response, do you believe they have a legitimate case, or are they simply making a mountain out of a molehill?

The simple saying of "boys will be boys" will not serve as an excuse as routine of enjoying each others pain resulted in a boy undergoing surgery for his groin area.

David Gibbons, a 14-year-old Minnesota teen, was so injured after being part of a game of "sack tapping" that doctors had to remove one of his testicles.

That's basically almost like losing his life when it comes to a man.

Known as "sack tapping" the game is simple; punch or forcefully tap a male friends "sack" region and watch them fall over in pain...and laugh.

Gibbons has stated that he doesn't know how to stop the "game" and he is not the only person to have been punched in that area.

I'm sure, however, he's the only one that last dropped the ball...literally.

And men sit and wonder why females think we're so stupid.

Many have learned the consequences of a late night filled with drinking if they fall asleep with their shoes on.

For Michael Johnson, 19, a simple prank turned into a hospital visit after he super glued his friend's eyes and ears shut.

During a camping trip, his 17-year-old friend made the mistake of falling asleep first and Johnson leaped at the occasion.  With the intentions of simply placing glue on his cheek for his hand to get stuck, things didn't necessarily as planned.

According to Genesee County Sheriff Gary Maha, "He emptied the entire tube of super glue on the guy's cheek and some of it rolled down into his eye and into his ear. Of course, causing damage, and then when he woke up, the guy couldn't open his eye, he couldn't hear."

Johnson is charged with misdemeanor assault, but that could be turned into a  felony if the kid's injuries prove to be more severe.
