“Flavor Flav House Of Flavor” opened with the red and gold motif emblazoning the sign above the restaurant. In a clever nod to his customary stage adornment, the letter “O” in the sign was replaced with clocks. Also featured on the take-out joint's sign was Flav's customary “yeaahh boyyy!” adlib made famous from his days with Public Enemy. The menu features a lot of Flav, no pun intended, as he hams it up in photos by each of the menu items. Here fans can witness the many bizarre looks of Flava, with choices between "Chicken Light" and "Chicken Hungry" combo options. Way to go for the inventive, Flav.

Last night's event looked well attended, and there are some shots of the 53-year old man child frying the chicken himself with the requisite flour on his fancy red jacket. Flava Flav is all smiles now, but his first foray into the fried bird business went belly up in Iowa with business partners Nick and Peter Cimino having to shut down the location after just six months.

Flav's chicken shack may have a better shot in Sin City, but we're wondering what does PE front man Chuck D think of all this? Is Professor Griff going to be handling security? Peep the photos in the gallery.

Well Flav has come to the defense of his pride and joy, telling TMZ, "The whole thing was a big misunderstanding that shouldn't have happened. No one in my family called the cops on my daughter and she did not beat me up. I love my daughter and will never let anything happen that could come between us."

Flav also added that he tried to stop police from arresting his daughter Dazayna Drayton, but according to Nevada law, police are required to take anyone in who strikes a family member.

Good to see The Drayton's working it out.

Public Enemy's Chuck D has filed a class-action lawsuit against Universal Music Group in U.S. District Court, alleging that the label didn't pay fully its artists and producers in licensing deals for digital downloads and ringtones.

The suit claims UMG owes its artists "hundreds of millions of dollars in royalties" because of the discrepancies.

According to the suit, Universal's artists and producers are entitled to 50% of the net receipts from digital downloads and ringtones.

Problem is UMG has treated digital sales like sales of physical product and billed their artists for deductions like CD packaging, which aren't part of the cost in digital downloads.

Reuters also reports that Chuck D claims under UMG's current method of accounting, artists and producers receive $80.33 for every 1,000 downloads, when the correct amount should be $315.85 per 1,000.

On the ringtone side of things, the discrepancy is even more drastic. The suit claims that UMG's current accounting method yields $49.89 per thousand downloads, as opposed to the $660 per 1,000 that the suit claims is actually owed.

Chuck, who claims breach of contract, is demanding a jury trial.

Flavor Flav is being accused as "public enemy number one" by his former business partner. Tommy Karas filed a police report against the reality TV show star claiming Flav cut him out of a business deal after investors were brought in for their Las Vegas fried chicken project.

According to TMZ, Tommy got the investors, but Flav insisted he was the money man and got them to cut him a check worth $30,000.

Mr. Karas filed a report with Las Vegas Metro PD, but the cops stated that the case was more of a civil matter citing that, "The allegations did not meet the elements of a crime."

Tommy is not giving up the fight, he is communicating with his lawyers now to figure out the best way to come at the legendary hype man for his cash.

Only a little over three months in existence, Flava Flav's Iowa chicken restaurant is already reportedly running into some troubles.

Employees are claiming that they are unable to cash their paychecks because the checks they were issued are bouncing at banks all over town, according to a local news station.

A number of employees have reportedly come forward saying that they have been turned away when trying to cash their paycheck from Flav's Fried Chicken in Clinton, Iowa.

With at least one worker claiming that, they could not even cash the check from the bank from which the check was issued. Another worker claims being unable to cash a check of only $150.

Co-owner Nick Cimino says the paycheck mishap was a ‘credit card glitch' that has since been resolved. He blames the poor press on soured former employees.

Flav vehemently denies the allegations saying,

"It's not true information, first of all. And second of all, maybe these are people that's just jealous of me being here and probably want to see me out. Yes, we do have money in our accounts."

As previously reported the former Public Enemy member opened a Flav's Fried Chicken in Clinton, Iowa in January.

Kid Cudi s returning back to the music scene after seemingly months on hiatus, this time at Vanderbilt University's Rites Of Spring Festival.

The G.O.O.D. music rapper will be joined by Public Enemy for the April 15-16 celebration on the college's alumni lawn.

Alongside Cudi and the legendary rap group will be songstress Sara Bareilles, The National and Matt and Kim.

As previously reported Cudi is said to be working on the new season of his hit HBO series “How To Make It In America” and will release a mixtape this summer and his Wizard rock album this fall.

The rapper who recently opened Flav's Fried Chicken in Clinton, Iowa wants to enroll at the city's Clinton High School to get his high school diploma.

So far school administrators have turned down his offer including Clinton Schools Superintendent Deb Olson who insists that the local high school is not the place for a reality show.

"He isn't going to high school in Clinton,” she said of the rapper.

Flav will have a chance to appeal to the school board at their next scheduled meeting February 28.

Flavor Flav's new ‘Flav's Fried Chicken' has officially opened its doors in Clinton, Iowa.

As previously reported, the Public Enemy rapper is competing with Kentucky Fried Chicken before he releases a new line of flavored vodka.

At the grand opening for his new business, which is coincidentally located next door to KFC, CNN was on hand to capture Flav's first day of sales.

The rapper was hands-on for the festivities and even took to the fryer to cook some of the fried chicken himself.
