While the music world and Hip Hop fans alike know how many songs have been able to become a smash hit, it's even better when someone can do a full time jack move with a freestyle that makes some fans that the song should have belonged to that particular artist in the first place.

Once Jay Z deboed Joe Budden's “Pump It Up” track, everyone was very pleased with the results outside of Jumpoff who decided to take his beat back and give it a revamp so everyone knew that it was his for a reason.

Jay Z "Pump It Up"

Joe Budden "Pump It Up Pt. 2"

When Dwayne Carter, known to the world as Lil Wayne, dropped Da Drought, the Young Money general was able to leave countless casualties as he took industry beats from all rappers and showed them exactly how their song were meant to be. After two more Droughts in the series, people have come to know Weezy's name as being synonymous with being the rapper eater for the way that he ate up tracks as a feature, along with taking mainstream songs and making them even more popular than they already were on the mixtape circuit.

Lil Wayne "If I Ruled The World"

Lil Wayne "Mr. Jones"

Now, outside of knowing the classic made by Nas and Lauryn Hill, most probably don't even remember who made the other song originally and nobody probably cares after hearing this version.

With his latest addition being No Ceilings, Wayne has cemented himself as the go to guy when it comes to rapping on any and every type of beat and laying waste to those that did it before him.

Lil Wayne "Ice Cream Paint Job"

Now the R&B world hasn't been one, as of late, that contained too much competition within it, but the appearance of Trey Songz has since shaken up the foundation of the genre.

As a rapper and a singer, Songz has taken his ability to perform in both arenas and utilized it in his own way as he challenges records put out in Hip Hop and R&B and places his own little spin on things. Most cases, fortunately, turned out to be a winner, especially when he gives his own interpretation of R&B records.

His first crack at it was back in 2005 when he first emerged onto the mainstream as he placed his crosshairs on his idol R. Kelly and switched “Trapped In The Closet” to “Open The Closet”

Since then, the singer has continued to build his own buzz and has been a one man wrecking crew with his own material, along with giving his own personal remix to other artist's songs.

"Obsessed"

"Always Strapped"

"Ego"

"Rockin That Thang"

See, it's really just a damn shame how these artists are just allowing him to take over their songs in such a way. Not even adding a verse to accompany their own, just a full time jack move like the track was meant for him. Somebody needs to take some charge and grab him by his collar and let him know their song is off limits.

He might actually be the only singer in the game today to have as many mixtapes released as he does. Some singers have even started jumping on the band wagon, such as R. Kelly, and flipped some songs with their own little flavor. Age might bring wisdom, but innovation clearly creates imitators.

Recently Songz dropped his own adaptation of Rihanna's “Hard” and even gave mention of coming out with another mixtape. While Hip Hop waits to see what instrumental Wayne will flip, R&B now has an artist to look out for to see how to beat up on an industry beat.

"Hard"

“Beanie Sigel is going at Jay-Z, huh? Is that what it's come to in Hip-Hop? Hip-Hop is f*cking wack.”

Mr. No Comment seems to have unlocked the key and is speaking his piece once again. As Beanie Sigel has finally aired his grievances on wax, many artists are beginning to throw in their opinions about the situation.

If anyone has had problems with Jay-Z, it would have to be Joe Budden. Depending on how a person perceives it, Jay might have ended his career at Def Jam once he was placed at the president's table so if any hostility is still burning, it would come from the New Jersey rapper.

With JoeBuddenTV back in full effect, the rapper questions the timing behind the Broad Street Bully's attack.

“Why he ain't never go at him before is what I wanna know.”

Showing his admiration for Beans, Joey doesn't feel like shots at Hov are effective enough to the point where they shouldn't be fired. He also clears up some confusion that may have come recently from his lyrics and has assured everyone that he hasn't had words for Jay since Mood Muzik and has no intentions to create any later on.

“Beans is nice and I like Beans. I just feel like n*ggas dissing Hov is pointless. Mind you, I'm very aware that I dissed Hov countless times. I dissed Hov a bunch of times. I did not diss Hov recently. Contrary to popular belief, I didn't send one line at Hov in that BET Cypher, it's just that now everybody thinks that everything I say is directed towards ‘Too many many blueprints, not enough architects.' That's not a diss to him either. When the fans made it into a diss, I certainly didn't run to correct them because it helped.”

Many such as 50 Cent, Jim Jones, and Cam'Ron have thrown rocks at the thrown, but in comparison, Jay has always reigned triumphant. At the end of the day, all that matters is who is here standing now.

“If you go against Jay-Z, the fight is automatically fixed. I like Jay-Z and I really like The Blueprint III, for the most part. I still enjoy Jay-Z.”

Oddly, Jumpoff added that he is actually rooting for his former foe as he continues to bring some type of needed change to the game and Hip-Hop would essentially fade into nothingness if he was to ever be taken away with the flood of wackiness left to hold down the business.

“If you take him away from Hip-Hop, it's really boring and wack. Think about it. You take Jay-Z away from Hip-Hop and what do you have? Is it the same? No, it's not the same. He definitely dissed me on Blueprint III, I don't care what he says, and he definitely probably blackballed the sh*t out of my career, but I love Jay-Z the artist.”

This family affair needs to be taken care of quickly. As the circle begins to open and more throw in their perspectives, the situation could rise to where it isn't necessary. Too many mouths have too many words and create too many scenarios which only serve in quenching their thirst, but has a negative end result for the actual people involved.

“They told me that if I don't come with another one, I'm going to get dropped.”

Some artists have the curse of the debut album that they are unable to escape. If they are able to nab a classic piece or work, it is almost impossible for any future releases to ever amount to that first offering and they are forced to find a way to reach those heights once again.

In the case of rapper Joe Budden, however, it was the single “Pump It Up” that gave the first impression of the artist. Although it was able to ignite his career, he has been unable to shake that first song that was delivered to the public as he has tried to expand on his personal side with releases after.

While on the road with Slaughterhouse and Tech N9ne on the KOD tour, the Jerz native spoke on how the track came about with Just Blaze and how he was able to make a hit out of a beat that nobody else wanted.

“You're Just Blaze. Just play some sh*t out of your fu**ing computer. I know you got sh*t in there. He starts going through beats and he plays the beginning of the “Pump It Up” beats and just goes to the next.”

Something must have sparked his interest as he told the producer to go back. Giving the account of Blaze through Budden, the producer seemed perplexed to the rapper actually wanting the beat.

“I think it's crazy, but I tell you that I have played this beat for every single person that I have ever done a session with and nobody has wanted it. I played this beat for the world. As a matter of fact, I personally made this beat to be the single after “Roc the Mic.” It was supposed to be for Jay, Beans and Freeway and they didn't want it.”

Shortly after Budden released the music video for the single, his popularity catapulted to new heights for the track over the airwaves. Jay-Z seemed to want in, after the fact, when he released a freestyle calling it a “jack move” as if showing Budden what he was SUPPOSE to do with the instrumental.

“That just added fuel to the fire.”

A battle ensued over the beat as Budden saw it funny that Jay didn't initially want the beat, but then chose to jump on it. Everything between the two after that is in the history books.

Since 2003, Budden has used the likes of Mood Muzik to show that he is far from the gimmick rapper that seemed to be when he first hit the scene. No matter what, like that classic debut, it's quite a feat to escape that first impression.
