Several Facebook pages have been dedicated to the disgusting act, but have since been removed by the social networking site. This latest fad comes on the heels of an opportunist in Florida who was selling gun target hoodies in an attempt to capitalize off the 17-year-old's death.

Each and every person who participated in “Trayvoning" deserves to be stoned.

A psychologist employed by the Jefferson Parish school system in New Orleans is causing controversy over a series of racist views posted on his Twitter page. Mark Traina became the focus of an ongoing investigation after his Twitter rants were put on display by the Southern Poverty Law Center. Similar to the comments made by  NYPD officials facing a discrimination lawsuit, Traina likened black men to animals. “Young Black Thugs who won't follow the law need to be put down not incarcerated,”  he wrote. “Put down like the Dogs they are!” 

Traina, who works with students in alternative schools, posted several ridiculous comments including warning people to “stay the hell out of New Orleans” because “these black dude will kill you.” He also threw his support behind George Zimmerman, killing Trayvon Martin, calling the 28-year-old “the real victim” in the altercation.

One day after filing a complaint against the Jefferson Parish Public Schools, civil rights groups complained about Traina's comments—many of which were a direct response to the group's original gripes. When asked about his racist words, Traina defended himself by stating that his views are not representative of his employers. “I don't represent the Jefferson Parish school system,” he said. “I represent Mark Traina. I make that very clear in my comments. Everything I said is fact-based, backed up by data. I don't have a prejudiced bone in my body. I'm not a racist. I'm a realist.”

The school district has yet to announce whether or not Traina has been fired, but he has decided to stop tweeting.

Brown's Nucelar Family Plant is just the latest in noose-related hate crimes. In February a black man was convicted of mailing a noose to the home of an interracial couple, and in 2010 a Obama doll was found with a rope around its neck, hanging from a sign in Plains, Georgia.

Only in the Post's newsroom can Glover have a less influential name than relative newcomer Lena Dunham, the Girls creator and star. By writing “Dunham films with black actor” as a “quick fix” to the Brooklyn-based show's lack of ethnic diversity, the Post offers its customary condescending view that is remarkably out of touch with the entertainment landscape.

If Twitter followers are a viable unit of measure to quantify fame, then the 633,000+ people paying attention to Donald Glover are well aware that he's more than just a “black actor.” Compare Glover's numbers against Dunham's 116,000 followers and the Post's decision to leave Glover nameless becomes even more irresponsible.

Then again, this is the same tabloid that published Phil Mushnick's racially charged tirade against the Brooklyn Nets last month because Jay-Z selected black uniforms, and also suggested that a murdered chimpanzee was President Barack Obama in a 2009 political cartoon.

Glover will join a world centered on Dunham and her three friends as they try to survive in New York City while balancing their jobs, sexual identities, and relationships. The goal now is to hope that the “black actor” is more than the “black friend,” or worse–something like Blair Underwood as Miranda's secret lover in S-x and the City.

A spokesperson  for Wal-Mart apologized for the occurrence , but the company is known for running into legal problems. In 2010, they faced a billion dollar gender bias class-action suit, and late last year a mother and her pregnant daughter were arrested for attacking an elderly Wal-Mart greeter, inside the store.

Beckmann made the comments in response to special prosecutor, Angela Corey's decision to seek second-degree murder charges against the teen's accused killer, George Zimmerman. While the case sparked a racial profiling firestorm, Beckmann concluded that he did not believe that Martin's killing had anything to do with skin color, but with the high-school student's upbringing. “I and my coworkers could rewrite the book on whether our urban youths are victims of racist profiling or products of their failed, s***bag, ignorant, pathetic, welfare dependent excuses for parents, but like Mrs. Corey, we speak only the truth,” he wrote. “They're just misunderstood little church going angels and the ghetto hoodie look doesn't have anything to do with why people wonder if they're about to get jacked by a thug.”

Although the comments were posted last month, the 15-year veteran is just now facing disciplinary action. While Beckmann apologized for his words, promising to “try harder than ever” to be more professional, Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos Gimenez, doesn't seem to be moved by his attempt at atonement. “There's no such thing as being off-the-clock; we are public servants 24/7 and must conduct ourselves with the utmost professionalism at all times,” he said in a statement.

Following his death in late February, many public figures have made disrespectful remarks about the unarmed teen, gunned down by Zimmerman in an alleged act of self-defense. Fox News personality, Geraldo Rivera remarked that had Martin worn a hoodie, he would likely still be alive. Similarly,  Skyy Fisher, a school board member in Southern California, called Martin a “fa**ot.” Both men have since apologized for their statements.

Daragjati has a reputation for getting into trouble, and pleaded guilty to federal civil rights violations charges earlier this year. Meanwhile, Gray has also been named as the plaintiff in a separate pending suit against the department for being pulled over and frisked on two separate occasions in 2010. Gray, was stopped by Daragjati on April 15, and was frisked “in a heavy-handed fashion” before being let go. When the 33-year-old complained about the treatment, Daragjati apprehended him on fake charges, as well as resisting arrested.  Phone tapping, uncovered a conversation between Daragjati and an associate in which he says “Another ni**er fried, no big deal,” which will likely damage the defense that he  had probable cause to arrest Gray. The FBI is also investigating Daragjati for extortion, stemming from an incident in which he threatened someone whom he believed stole his snow plow.

Gray is seeking unspecified damages for the incident, marking the most recent occasion in which the city will have to foot the bill for bad police behavior. In March, the city settled a $57,500 false arrest suit.

Daragjati's case is the latest in a string of examples of racial discrimination at the hands of the NYPD. As we reported last month, two high-ranking members of the police force are the subject of a federal racial discrimination lawsuit, in which they are believed to have called black suspects “f***ing animal,” among other names.  Elsewhere in the city, a black man from Brooklyn was freed after serving more than a year in prison for raping a white woman, despite the fact that she later omitted her claim.

Orlando's WKMG Local 6, spotted an ad for the sweatshirts on a website auctioning off firearms. Although the promotion has since been pulled, the hoodies sold out in just two days, proving that the racists thread runs deep in America.

Mike O'Mara, lawyer to Martin's accused killer, George Zimmerman, distanced himself from the controversy, blasting the sweatshirts as  "the highest level of disgust and the lowest level of civility." O'Mara went on to site the sweatshirts, resembling what the 17-year-old wore on the night that he was shot and killed by Zimmerman, as damaging his client's attempt at receiving a fair trial.

Zimmerman was released from prison after posting $150,000 bail, and has received  nearly $500,000 in donations from his supporters. It's not clear whether or not said supporters also used their funds to purchase one of these disrespectful sweatshirts, but we wouldn't put it past them.

Although Zimmerman was not at today's arraignment, he previously turned himself in to authorities to face second-degree charges, but was freed one week later, after posting $150,000 bail. Since his release, the former neighborhood watch volunteer has been in hiding, while his lawyer continues to drum up financial support. Omara recently launched a website, Facebook and Twitter page aimed at changing  Zimmerman's public image, but a newly uncovered Myspace page has added to the notion that he is a racist. The page, which dates back to 2005, finds the Florida resident both spewing hatred towards Mexicans, and bragging about wiggling his way out of two separate legal situations.

Zimmerman maintains that he shot Marti in self-defense, a pre-trial date has been set for August 8. His trial is not expected to begin until later in the year.

Not surprisingly, the 28-year-old went on the site to spew his racist thoughts, back in 2005. Among his issues included disparaging feelings towards Mexicans. “I don't miss driving around scared to hit mexicans walkin on the side of the street, soft [expletive] wanna be thugs messin with peoples cars when they aint around (what are you provin, that you can dent a car when no ones watchin) don't make you a man in my book,” he wrote, under the name Joe G. “Workin 96 hours to get a decent pay check, gettin knifes pulled on you by every mexican you run into!”

Zimmerman also used the social networking site to brag about beating charges for attacking a member of law enforcement. "2 felonies dropped to 1 misdemeanor!!!!!!!!!!!! The man  knows he was wrong but still got this hump, Thanks to everyone friends and fam, G baby you know your my rock!" Another post details an altercation involving an ex-girlfriend, for which he never faced charges. He accusing the woman of "trying her hardest, but the judge saw through it."

O'Mara admitted that the page casts his client in a negative light, but given the years since the post, theorizing that his words won't be damaging to his murder case.

On the contrary, Benjamin Crump, lawyer to the Martin family, says the page shoes Zimmerman's true colors. “It's not just speculation and innuendo. He has a history and a habit of profiling people. He thinks certain things about certain racial groups,” Crump said.

Zimmerman shot and killed Martin in late February, claiming self-defense. He is currently free on $150,000 bond.
