Prior to beginning a two-year jail sentence last month, Ja Rule opened up about his past relationships with Jay-Z and DMX and why their supergroup never took off.

Speaking with XXL, Ja Rule spoke on recording with the two and Jay and X ultimately did not like each other at all.

"That would have been a great project, I think we was all bringing something different to the table, and we could have given hip-hop something special. When you try to put something like that together, you're dealing with egos and a lot of outsiders putting the bug in people's ear.

That's what got the best of the situation, a lot of egos. Not me per se, because I was kinda new and just coming up. But X and Jay, they had exploded on the scene by that time, and it was a lot of egos in the way...Really, to tell you the truth, I'm putting it in a nice way, but they didn't f*ck with each other at all. X and Jay didn't f*ck with each other at all. It was hard getting them in a room together."

In May, Rule said their competitive nature between one another kept the supergroup from happening.

"We tried to put [the Murder Inc. group] together, but it didn't pan out," Rule said. "I think egos got in the way of that whole situation. But you've got to understand that that's hip-hop, too. N*ggas are competitive.

I think [DMX] and Jay[-Z] were so competitive [that]...real talk, we couldn't even get [them] in the same room because of their competitive natures and what they had been through before that [with] -- the legendary battle that they had on the pool tables up in Uptown with the guns out."

Atlanta rapper B.o.B.'s manager B. Rich has cleared up gossip and speculation claiming a beef between the Southern emcee and Maybach Music Group's Wale forced an incident during a Washington, D.C. event this week.

Rich said confusion over a tweetclead to misunderstandings and beef rumors.

According to B. Rich, the gossip started after WPGC radio personality Sunni tweeted that Bob would not get on stage if Wale was in the building.

Rich told XXL Mag,

"As a manager I didn't want Bob to go on after Wale in his hometown at the birthday bash," he told XXL. "There's no beef, that's our n*gga, we wanted to bring him out during our set. Bob has no idea what's going on. He don't mind going on after or before anybody, this is a decision I made.

Initial reports claimed B.o.B. would not appear at the event while Wale was present.

However, now the the clarification from his manager, we can assume that the Atlanta rapper does "f*ck with Wale musically."

Even if we have unfortunately lost two of the most arguably best rappers because of these pointless acts of violent, many rappers have somehow bodied the shootings and have lived to tell about it.

Although there are obvious ones like 50 cent, many on the list will surprise you, especially a certain Young Money rapper who shot himself.

“You ever heard of the song “Pimp Slap” where I went after Suge Knight? If I got issues, I go after a n*gga's mother**kin head.”

Perception is everything and is the sole factor as to how people are viewed in life. Whether in the work place or just out and about, the way a person chooses to carry his/herself is looked on as a spectator's sport from those around that create their own deductions from what they believe they see.

As Snoop Dogg continues to promote his upcoming release Malice N Wonderland, there has been misrepresented perception as it pertains to a song titled “Protocol” where he raps such lyrics as:

“Gangstas don't kiss, we get old and get rich.”

And

“We hit licks and gang bang/ You on some T-Pain sh*t.”

Of course initial perception is to draw a negative connotation from such words and so was the case as many were under the belief that such lyrics were going at Lil Wayne's head.

Speaking on Shade 45's Lip Service, Snoop addressed the false claims and added that he's not one to throw subliminal shots.

“I'm not fin to shoot at your shoes or shoot at your spot where your baby momma at, I'm fin to take your mother**kin neck off. I don't have no problems with rappers, that was me speaking in general. If a n**ga feel offended or feel froggish, leap mother**cka.”

Looked at, as being Uncle Snoop, he added that time has progressed, and he's not at the same place to want to go at someone's neck.

“I don't ever make diss songs, I make hit songs.”

Snoop also offered a simple problem solver if such confusion ever arises again.

“When those feel that I'm directing the finger at them, come get at me. I ain't hard to get at, I'm everywhere.”

The Doggfather did state that there is only one thing that could possibly make him step back into the ring once again and battle in the ring.

“I'm so far in the game where if I was to get into a battle with a n*gga, he couldn't f*ck with me just because of the longevity that I've been in the game. It would only be exciting if it was a bad a*s fresh new n*gga or he was an old ass n*gga like me that's still fresh. Other than that, it wouldn't make no sense.”

People are always looking for a reason to cause some type of hostility or tension. It's almost as though it has become a primal instinct. Perception has been used for negativity as some choose to search for the bad before they can mentally conceive anything positive about another.

Next time there's a question, make sure to raise a hand for the answer and not fabricate what you believe should be the truth.

“The more that you are aware of your fate, the higher the probability that you have the chance to live.”

While plugging his upcoming release, Before I Self Destruct, rapper Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson has also been busy promoting his latest piece of literature, The 50th Law.

Initially dubbed to be a Hip-Hop bible, the literary work revolves around the theme of fearfulness as the back cover says nihil temendum est, which means fear nothing. Taking pages out of his own life and experiences he has gone through, the book provides factors of doing away with fear.

Upon release, The Village Voice critiqued and wrote that, “This book will change your life. It will shoot you nine times with bullets of pure wisdom.”

Speaking with Evan Davis, Jackson gave more into the idea of fear and how fear is a mentality which will see a person sink every time they try to swim because their own hesitance and lack of confidence creates a window for someone else to take advantage of a situation.

“We even brought it down to the perspective of a person that's in a staff meeting that is watching another person answer a question that they know the answer to. That means that that person deserves to be ahead of you in life because your fear of being wrong at that point is not allowing you to create your value in that work space.”

Stating that his mother's death is by far the most traumatic experience that he has had to endure, fear has left his mentality and he is free when it comes to being in business situations or in life. Adding that he weighs issues with his biggest loss, his mother, the worst possible scenario will not amount to that loss and he will be in a safe space to engage without having fear that he may be wrong.

Touching on his past and things that he had to do while hustling, the rapper/author holds that experience, even if it's bad, helps to mold the person that stands presently.

“The things that you go through make you who you are so I don't regret those things because I don't think I would be who I am today if I wasn't exposed to those situations. Those are unfortunate situations that I've had to experience and if I had a choice to go in a completely different direction, I might have gone to the school for business instead of having to go through this portion of my life.”

Although Jackson is known mostly for bullying other artists, he must be commended for his ability to not be fearful of the outcome. It is once you embrace fear and the potential of being defeated when a person truly loses in life.
