Rapper Eve is the subject of new promo pictures as she preps her new Lip Lock album.

As previously reported, Eve's been slowly but surely working her way back into the music scene, most recently performing at the National Breast Cancer Coalition's benefit concert to an array of waiting fans.

And while the pitbull in a skirt won't be releasing her highly anticipated album till early 2012, she's keeping fans at bay with new promo pictures.

As promised Eve performed at the National Breast Cancer Coalition's benefit concert last night to an array of waiting fans.

The 4th Annual Open A.I.R: "Artist In Residence" Summer Concert took place in New York and featured a live Ustream for fans across the globe who missed Evey Eve in the flesh.

Eve rocked a head to toe black ensemble complete with leather leggings and a matching black hat while performing her hits like "Who's That Girl."

Instead the Philly rapper is giving back to a worthy cause and hosting a benefit concert to promote breast cancer awareness.

Eve's performance tonight (August 24) at 5pm PDT/8PM will benefit the National Breast Cancer Coalition

Rapper and actress Eve Jeffers' gated house that she bought in 2005 for $1,775,000 was sold for $1.33 million.

The original price she was asking for was $2.3 million but the market is so bad she had to take a $400,000 loss.

The 32-year-old entertainer has done everything from selling millions of records to having her own television show and starring in films. A little half a million dollar loss won't hurt her.

As previously reported, Eve was in Jamaica for the country's Excellence in Music and Entertainment Awards where she was honored at The East Lawn of the historical Devon House site in Kingston, Jamaica.

While in town for the awards Eve sat down with The Jamaica Observer for an interview alongside Lady Saw, whom she performed with at the awards ceremony.

The ladies spoke on a number of topics including their taste in men and plans for the future.

Eve also revealed that she's hoping to secure a release date for her upcoming album reportedly titled Lip Lock.

She tells The Observer,

“I'm also working on my new album that will come out hopefully in September, and I'm really excited about that.“

Eve publicly announced that she left Interscope Records in January of 2010.

Records show that the rapper turned actress owes the state of California, who filed a lien against her on Jan. 29, 2009; $29,059.

This will make the second lien filed since 2008 with the Los Angeles County Recorder of Deeds. This may explain why she has decided to sell her Hollywood Hills home, which according to published reports was built only 5 years ago.

In addition to Los Angeles County, Eve also reportedly owes the IRS a total of more than $271,684 for liens filed since 2008.

In addition to financial legal woes, Eve was facing some criminal legal woes when she had reportedly been named in an on-going investigation involving foreign corruption with millions of dollars being illegally transferred into her alleged boyfriend's American banking account. Eve addressed the rumors on Twitter stating:

“None of that is true. Please don't believe everything you read on the internet. it's negative and I don't fu&% wit negativity. People trynna test me. Now listening 2 Sizzla "praise ye Jah" and "head over hills. Thank ya'll 4 the support!!!!! Life is crazy 4 everyone and we all get tested.”

Although things are looking rough, Eve is still in high hopes for 2010.

She recently announced in January that she left Interscope/Geffen/A&M Records in search of a new label. Although label-less, the Philly bred MC is still busy making music.

Currently she is appearing on the remix for “My Chick's Bad,” the second single off Ludacris's Battle of the Sexes and preparing to release a new album titled Lip Lock which will feature appearances by Ruff Ryders and production by Swizz Beatz.

The internet was abuzz yesterday after news broke of investigators wanting to question Eve in connection with a foreign money scandal.

As previously reported the Ruff Ryders' first lady was reportedly tied to an elicit corruption case based on her relationship with former boyfriend Teodorin Nguema Obiang.

Not happy with having her name brought up, Eve is stepping up to clear her name and took to Twitter to deny the allegations.

Speaking on the case Eve says that none of is it true and urged her fans not to believe everything they read.

“Non of that is true….Please don't believe everything you read on the internet. It's negative and I don't Fawk wit negativity. People trynna Test me. Now listening 2 Sizzla "praise ye Jah" and "head over hills"

After getting positive responses from some of her 4,000 plus followers Eve continues on to say,

“Thank ya'll 4 the support!!!!! Life is crazy 4 everyone and we all get tested. My friend Suzette just said 2 me she tells people u hate on me, U hatin on God's works.... Fu&% em. ”

No word on whether she's still wanted by investigators in connection to the case.

Her last album headlined by her single “Tambourine" was due out in 2007 but was canned leaving Evie-Eve to fade into the background of female MCs.

This year however Eve promises to turn that around with new material now that she's been freed from her contract at Jimmy Iovine's label.

She announced the news via her @TheRealEve Twitter page telling her followers that she was a free agent and was back in the studio.

“Trust me ya'll I got ya'll on MUSIC!!! … Let me tell u what happened with music so ya'll don't think I quit. Left Interscope, free agent now. Went back in re-doing music. Trust me….”

Solidifying her statement, Eve had this to say about the state of music today.

“Not letting this year pass wit out an ABULM! Can't take the non-sense MUSIK .”

In between making new music, Eve will return to her career in acting and is set to star in a new crime thriller “4,3,2,1.” The film has wrapped and is currently in post-production with a release date that is still unknown.

Hip-Hop Wired recently spoke with Ruff Ryders CEO Waah Dean as he shed some light onto the pitbull in a skirt's label situation and also spoke on how Interscope and Dre tried to pull a jack move a few years back and take her off the Ruff Ryders brand and put her on Aftermath.

“The Eve situation… Eve is pretty much in the process of being released from the Interscope deal right now. We're in negotiations of helping her get in control of her situation, we're supporting her.

Interscope is a great label that supported us in our success along with Def Jam and Universal.  So we got Eve from Dre initially [and she wanted to go back] and they went through something.  Eve was working out that way (Los Angeles), doing movies a lot and they kind of like was clicking at that time so we wanted to support Eve in whatever she wanted to do and that's what we do.  We support our artists and our family so at that time she wanted to do that.  And we was there to embrace and support her and they didn't do what they was supposed to do on some level but she's getting released and we're gonna be here to support her in whatever direction she want to go.”

Waah also revealed that Eve, The LOX, DMX and Drag-On were all on board for the upcoming reunion album, Ruff Ryders Evolution:  Generation I.  The album will include the “Who's Real Remix” featuring Jadakiss, Eve, Drag-On, Styles P, Sheek Louch, and DMX.  He added,

“The compilation is pretty much finished and we're looking to knock it out and have it up and running at the end of 2^nd, beginning of 3^rd quarter.  We got a couple of nice joints.  It's gonna be a mixture of the old and new… we got this joint called “Family.”  We got a remix on it too and we want to launch the compilation with that. It's expressing a lot of how families should move and how they should roll.

We're   gonna feature our established artists, new artists and we're gonna remix it and just really unify the family thing, bring back the foundation.  We have collaborations songs that we did with The Lox and Cassidy and we get a song from each artist and let them express themselves. I's gonna be a decent album, we're gonna do that one independent and we may even take it upstairs (to major label) to do that on a whole other level. This album is really going to be about coming together.”

With new projects scheduled this year from Eve, DMX, The Lox and Drag-On, it looks like Ruff Ryders is indeed back in the building.

Supported with tracks by Swizz Beatz, the RR compilation album, entitled Ruff Ryders Evolution:  Generation I, includes the “Who's Real Remix” featuring Jadakiss, Eve, Drag-On, Styles P, Sheek Louch, and DMX.

The album will also feature newly-signed double-R emcee, Mook, and of course Drag-On, who will release My Life, My Legacy, My Melody in March.

“Over the last 20 years, my family and I have built the Ruff Ryders brand on good music, original talent and hard work,” says Waah Dean, Ruff Ryders president/CEO. “Now, we are entering a new chapter of our company with album releases from Drag, Mook and the Ruff Ryder team, as well as the creation of our new ‘Ruff Ryder Indy' division.”

Established this summer, Ruff Ryder Indy is a national distribution company serving independent artists with various album budgets. Its first project is Drag-On's My Life, My Legacy, My Melody. The release is a 50-50 venture between Ruff Ryder Indy and Drag-On's Hood Environment label which he founded three years ago.

“I've reinvented myself and created a whole new sound,” says the rapper born Mel Small, adding that My Life will be his last album with Ruff Ryders. “I'm trying to create another umbrella in this game with my label Hood Environment and my artists Da Dude and Eyez.B. However, I'm still the original ‘Fire-Man.'”
