Rebirth Not Pushed Back?

Controversy is still swirling surrounding Lil Wayne's debut rock album. The release date for Rebirth is continuing to be disputed after being pushed back nearly a year.

As previously reported, Rebirth was thought to have been pushed back to a new June 2010 release date. That date is being disputed however and now the album is expected to hit stores February 2 as anticipated.

Instead of celebrating the release of his project, Wayne is expected to make a court appearance for those infamous federal gun charges and report to jail.

He is expected to serve a year.

I think they could've used that push back to June.

Lil Wayne's Rebirth Pushed Back…Again

Lil Wayne's introduction into the rock world has been pushed back yet again.

As previously reported 500 lucky fans received a copy from Amazon.com after the company missed the last push back and mistakenly released the pre-ordered albums.

Now instead of the most recent release date of February 2, the project's been pushed back to June 22, 2010. Yes, June.

Rebirth will not be available in stores until the summer making the album pushed back an entire year.

Originally Rebirth was set to hit stores April 7 but was then pushed back to May 19, followed by another push back from June 6 to June 15. Following that it was pushed back to December 15 and then to February before landing on this June 2010 release.

Sooo when is Wayne just going to come out and say the project's been scrapped?

This is getting ridiculous.

Lil Wayne's 'Rebirth' Pushed Back...Again

Lil Wayne is the latest in Hip-Hop to continue the trend of album push backs. Fans eager for a new Lil Wayne record will be thrilled to know that his rock debut, Rebirth, has been pushed back…once again.

As previously reported, the album was supposed to hit stores December 15 and reportedly as a double disc with his Young Money family. Those plans were scrapped however and the albums were set to be released separately.

Now unfortunately for stans of team Wayne, they'll have to wait till February to cop the ambitious new project.

Followers of Lil Wayne know this is not the first time Rebirth has been shelved. Originally the album was set to hit stores in April but was then pushed back to May and then finally to its December 15 release.

His daddy, Baby confirmed the third push back for the project via Twitter. Baby confirmed that while Wayne's project was on hold, the Young Money album was still set for a December release saying,

“Rebirth album pushback Feb. 1 YoungMoney cmin out Dec. 21 Yadig YM CMB”

Damn it's looking like Rebirth might not ever come out…smh.

Young Money and Lil Wayne's Albums Pushed Back

Lil Wayne and his Young Money camp are becoming the latest victims in the trend of album push backs.
As previously reported, Wayne officially confirmed in an interview that Young Money's debut album, We Are Young Money, would be released as a double disc with his Rebirth rock project.

Now unfortunately for stans eager to hear Young Mula's first major production, they'll have to wait a little while longer. Label reps for Universal Motown have confirmed that the upcoming We Are Young Money/Rebirth compilation will not hit stores on December 15 as scheduled.

Instead the projects are being pushed back a week and will hit stores on December 22, making it ideal for the Christmas holiday. The pushback does not come without competition; however, Wayne and his accessories will face off with Eminem's re-release of Relapse, Relapse: Refill.
