The Bronx femcee known as Remy Ma is serving an eight-year sentence for shooting Makeda Barnes-Joseph in a monetary dispute. Reminisce Smith was denied an appeal but her parole hearing will be in 2014 with an eligibility date set for January 31, 2015.

The former Terror Squad spitter is scheduled to be released in 2016 but she is hoping that the parole board will allow her to be set free one year early from New York's Bedford Hills Correctional Facility for Women.

Bronx rapper Remy Smith, better known as Remy Ma was hoping for an early release from prison for shooting of a homegirl of hers which resulted in a conviction in 2007.

The former Terror Squad member argued with a friend over $3000 and allegedly shot the woman. She was charged with criminal possession and two counts of assault and was sentenced to eight years in prison.

Remy was hoping that an appeal citing a judge misinforming the jurors before they made their decision would work in her favor. Yesterday the Court of Appeals in New York denied the claim, forcing Smith to postpone the celebration she had hoped for.

In a recent interview with radio personality, Jenny Boom Boom, Remy mentioned that she was attempting to make it home before the summer. She also added that if none of her appeals worked, that she may have to spend another 3 years in the penitentiary.

Her husband, rapper Papoose, also spoke publicly about an early release for Remy,

"I highly doubt she will have to serve the full time. If justice is served, then she will come home now," Pap told Vibe magazine.

Unfortunately, she won't be home as soon as they would like, but she may not serve the full sentence.

It is being reported that the former Terror Squad femcee and Big Pun protégé is putting a mixtape and album together with husband, rapper Papoose, from her current residence at Bedford Hills Correctional Facility for Women.

Despite her grim circumstances Remy sounded optimistic about the project.

“I be killing him on all the tracks I'm on. I'm kidding, I'm kidding. Actually, we have so many songs recorded together, [Papoose] was like, 'We're doing the mixtape.' We're actually doing an album together and we have numerous songs together."

The mixtape tentatively titled Mr. and Mrs. Mackie is scheduled to be released soon, with the album not set to see stores until after the rapper's scheduled release date in 2013.

Four years and a squashed beef later, Luck sat down in an interview with Star & Buc Wild to discuss why she still feels that she won the battle and reveals that she felt like she was set up and many others did too, but decided to jump on Team Remy in the end.

“I knew I won,” Lady Luck said in the interview. “Shout out to Remy Ma because we over this sh*t, hopefully. But I knew I won the battle and so did a lot of other people at first, but when it started to blow up, a lot of n**gas jumped ship.”

In addition to addressing the antique beef with Remy, Luck also discussed her issue with R&B singer Jaheim, who it seems still gets under Luck's skin.

According to Luck, the issue came after Jaheim decided to “scream on her” for not knowing who he was while they were both strolling down the street in downtown Newark, New Jersey.

“I don't do Hollywood sh*t,” Luck continued. “The n**ga saw me walking down the street and no one knew who he was because he had on a baseball cap, so I guess he spoke and I didn't hear him so he decided to scream on me and make a scene because he was with his R&B thugs.

That pissed me off because he decides to scream on me with his entourage and here I am, all by myself. So when I was with my girls, I decided to return the favor.”

Fisher, who confessed to owing more than $52,000 in employee withholding taxes, was also ordered to pay an additional $9,000 in taxes and penalties; all in which must be paid by the end of the year.

Although the $19,000 seems like a hefty penalty, it is reported that Fisher has already paid a total of $43,000 in back taxes to avoid a federal prison stint.

Already serving two years in her eight-year prison sentence stemming for two charges of assault, there has been a void left in female lyricism since rapper Remy Ma was placed behind bars.

With Nicki Minaj sitting at the top of the mountain, she might have to soon make room for another as reports are stating that the incarcerated rapper might receive her freedom papers sooner than anyone might think.

Let her husband, rapper Papoose, tell it, and fans might actually be able to see his wife again before the summer breaks.

During a discussion with VIBE, Pap spoke on her wife's situation and how there is a glimpse of hope that she may be back home soon, although details are scare.

“I can't speak about it in detail due to legal reasons, but we just recently got some great news concerning her second appeal.  Let's just say that she's blessed."

Further details have reported that if she is denied the appeal, Remy will serve four more years before she is eligible to be released on parole and would see her freedom September 2014.  Papoose, however, believes that things will work out in her favor if the justice system does what is right.

“If justice is served, then she will come home now. My plan is to see her walk out of that hellhole and get a breath of fresh air so we can enjoy life.”

Let's keep in mind, however, that this is the United States Justice System that Pap is speaking of and everyone knows how that process usually turns out, but hey T.I. made it out.

The media is quick to jump on drama and create any type of controversy that can come from it.

When a video appeared of a woman, that was allegedly rapper Nicki Minaj before she hit the mainstream, talking about her sexual relationship with Remy Ma, many believed that Ms. Remy engaged in the accusations.

Since then, Minaj has denied the claims that she was the woman in the footage.

Calling Jenny Boom Boom and DJ Craig G from Hot 93.7, Martin, who is doing an 8-year bid was able to finally address the situation.

“That video came out years ago.  I was home when it first surfaced and I don't know who that is.  The crazy thing with me is that it's been out for so long and I'm still waiting for somebody to like type in, like on the computer, like I know here, she lives next door to me…I don't even know what the logic was behind that.”

In regards to Minaj, the jailed rapper states that she is happy for her success and only wishes that she was back out recording so she could give Barbie some competition.

“I'm happy for her.  I rather her than any of these chicks that are put under a rock falling back out.  I'm actually happy for her.  I like Nicki, minus the gay stuff.”

The rapper was also able to speak on Papoose, working on her appeal and Fat Joe.
