RNC Treasurer Accuses Michael Steele Of Hiding $7 Million Debt

The treasurer of the Republican National Committee is making headlines now that he claims that RNC Chairman Michael Steele is responsible for failing to report $7 million in debt the group accumulated over time.

Treasurer Randy Pullen accused Steele in a memo to RNC budget committee members Tuesday of failing to report the impending debt to the Federal Election Commission.

Pullen also says Steele and his chief of staff Michael Leavitt tried to hide the issue by instructing staff not to report to him.

RNC officials have since denied any claims of wrongdoing and RNC Communications Director Doug Heye has released a statement in their defense saying,

“We have always followed the guidelines of our legal counsel and treasurer and have put in place additional oversight to ensure that all invoices are handled in a proper, open and transparent manner.”

Steele Shakes Uncle Tom'ness; Corrects Reid Over Slavery Remark

Michael Steele is going to battle against his democratic arch enemies after a statement by Senator Harry Reid left a bad taste in the Republican National Chairman's mouth.

Steele is calling for a public apology from the Democratic Party and Senator Reid after the opportunistic public servant actually mustered enough audaciousness to compare those opposed to America's current struggle to regulate health care with any and everyone that resisted ending slavery.

“It was an ignorant moment for Harry Reid,” said Steele during CBS's “Early Show.” “They [Democrats] play that race card, that slavery card, that civil rights card [whenever Democrats are in political trouble]. Steele also asserted that Reid's comment was delivered via “feigned anger.”

Senator Harry Reid has yet to comment of these assertions.

For once, I actually agree with Michael Steele.

RNC Under Fire For Racist Obama Picture

The Republican National Committee's Facebook page raised eyebrows after a racist picture appeared on the group's fan page. A “fan” of the committee posted a picture of President Obama eating a piece of fried chicken with a caption that reads:

“Miscegenation is a crime against American values. Repeal Loving v. Virginia.”

Miscegenation or the mixing of different racial groups was deemed unconstitutional in 1967 during the Loving V. Virginia court case. The court's ruling ended all race based legal restrictions on marriage.

The picture has since been removed from the site.

This has not been the president's first wave of Facebook bashing.

As previously reported a poll was posted on the site in September asking if the President should be killed. Users had the option to select yes, no, or maybe so.

That poll has been removed as well while the Secret Service investigates.
