While grateful for the opportunity to attain such an achievement, Cole insists he's still hungry for more. "I'm grateful for everything that's happened, but I'm not satisfied. These are all accomplishments from the work I've put in last year, and the last 2-3 years...they're reminders of the work that I've done in the past, and I'm already on to the next move. That's my mind-state."

In addition to attaining platinum status for his single, "Work Out," Cole saw his debut album, Cole World: The Sideline Story, reach gold status as well. While these are great achievements for the young star, they are things he's planned; like ensuring that his debut would hit the shelves prior to the Grammy deadline. "I was telling the management and the label, that I had to beat the Grammy deadline. If you look at the date, my album came out two days before the Grammy deadline, and that's because I knew I had a shot."

The 54th Annual Grammy Awards will air Feb. 12th at 8pm.

Not to be outdone, Blue Ivy Carter also made an appearance, in the form of Jay-Z's "Glory," which features Princess Carter. Fans sang along, as Hov's jubilation from becoming a father for the first time was very evident, as he performed the ode to "daddy's little girl."

The concert will benefit the United Way of New York City as well as Hov's Shawn Carter Scholarship Foundation. All tickets listed at $500 and above include a donation, while $1,250 tickets include access to an exclusive after-party held at Manhattan's Hudson Hotel. $1,500 tickets will buy concert goers access to the show as well as an after-party at Jay's newly renovated 40/40 Club.

During the reopening of the 40/40 Club in New York City, Hip-Hop Wired had the chance to speak briefly with Roc Nation heatmaker Jahlil Beats. Beats' claim to fame thus far has been the meteoric rise of Meek Mill's "I'ma Boss." The anthem is arguably the biggest club record today, which is what led to Jahlil inking a deal with Roc Nation in October.

Beats has continued to hustle, carving out hits for Red Cafe, Jim Jones, Diggy Simmons, Chris Brown, and more. When speaking to Jahlil about what he's been able to do thus far, he just humbly sites as "just a blessing, and [I'm] honestly happy to be here." The 23 year-old Chester, Pennsylvania product maintains a high level of humility due to basically coming from nothing, along with Meek Mill. The two have been working together long before Meek's deal with MMG, coming up together as well.

Aside from continuing to work with Meek in 2012, Jahlil told us that you'll see him involved in the projects of label mates, Willow Smith, J.Cole and Jay Electronica as well as Jay-Z's upcoming album. He also hopes to work with Kanye West very soon, with a recent trip to L.A. serving as a step in that direction. "Hopefully I can work with Kanye," he said. "I just left L.A. and was working on a few things with No I.D. so hopefully I can get some work in on the G.O.O.D. Music Compilation.

When asked what his plans are for this year, Beats replied, "My goal is to continue to be humble and work hard. I'm under that umbrella now, so I just have to go hard!" A tweet sent out earlier reaffirms his outlook on where he's come from, and where he's going.

It sounds like the "I'ma Boss" producer has a full plate ahead of him for the New Year. This is another testament to following your dreams, and believing in your abilities. Sky is the limit for Roc Nation's newest phenom.

After an impressive run on FOX's Hit Series, X-Factor, Brian "Astro" Bradley has reportedly inked a deal with his mentor, L.A. Reid, at Epic Records, reports MTV News. Once the Brownsville, Brooklyn rapper was eliminated on the December 1st, 2011 episode, there were rumors that the 15 year-old would be signing with Jay-Z's Roc Nation label.

However, Astro's stepfather Colin West, couldn't confirm that to be the truth when asked by XXL. “We can't talk about anything right now.” West told XXL.

Astro will be formally announce his new record deal on today's (January 18) episode of MTV 'RapFix Live' at 4PM ET.

J.Cole has continued to shock the world with his achievements; a Grammy Nomination, a #1 Album, a Gold plaque, and now a Platinum plaque for his single "Work Out." Not long ago, Cole tweeted the picture below:

However, over time doubts began to pile up over whether or not Jay-Z's shadow was hindering Cole's growth. The North Carolina product keeps proving his doubters wrong, accolade after accolade.
