The Weinstein Company (TWC) announced that Sean "Diddy" Combs has signed on as an executive producer of the studio's new documentary Undeafeated, which has been nominated for the 2012 Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature.

The Bad Boy King will also be an executive producer on TWC's planned feature remake of Undefeated.

Directed by Dan Lindsay and T.J. Martin, Undefeated is a coming-of-age verite-style documentary centering on several young student-athletes and the volunteer coach who guides them through a rough, yet rewarding, football season in northern Memphis. It opens in limited release on February 17.

Combs has produced numerous projects over the years, including the award-winning A Raisin In the Sun and Notorious, as well as the hit television shows "Making the Band" on MTV and "P. Diddy Presents the Bad Boys of Comedy" for HBO.

He has been featured in a wide range of film projects, including the recent Judd Apatow-produced comedy Get Him To The Greek and will continue to make the transition from music to film projects this year.

"I am excited to partner with Harvey Weinstein on this incredible project. Undefeated is a great American story with a lot of heart and soul. It had a profound effect on me and I couldn't get it out of my mind when I saw it. There is so much truth and so much hope in this film, and I feel passionately that everyone who sees it will be inspired," commented Combs.

Billionaire Diddy… Billionaire Puff. Has a nice ring to it doesn't it? If Sean "Diddy" Combs keeps moving on up like George and Weezy, this could very well be his new title.

The Bad Boy CEO planning to launch a music-themed cable network called Revolt and is aiming to launch the network before the end of the year on December 12, 2012, reports Broadcast & Cable.

The channel is being described as a music and music news outlet with an urban demographic. Puff reportedly has some major backing and partners including the Comcast cable company. Also, former MTV programming chief Andy Schuon is said to be a part of the building at Revolt as well.

According to , Comcast will provide distribution as part of its commitment to the FCC to help launch minority owned networks.

In April, Comcast began soliciting proposals for "independent channels," according to its press materials. It plans to launch 10 over the next eight years, including eight Hispanic or African American owned channels, and began accepting proposals for the first three last spring.

Each of the 10 will be added to "select Comcast systems as part of the D1 digital tier," said Comcast; one source believed there would be around 10 million Comcast homes on board at Revolt's launch.

Comcast announced its plans to launch an "American Latino"-operated channel by July 28, and an African American-owned one by January of 2013, which would fit Diddy's 12/12 timeframe.

A source said Time Warner Cable (TWC) will also be involved in Revolt distribution, which the source noted would mean around 18 million households, between Comcast and TWC.

Well Diddy said it a long time ago; "I thought I told ya that we won't stop."

Is Diddy About To Launch His Own Tequilla Brand???

There's one word that sums up Diddy and its "Mogul." I thought he told ya that "He Won't Stop."

One of the premier kings of entertainment, Sean Combs spoke to Ad Week and revealed that he would be making a big announcement in 2012 in regards to film, television and alcohol branding.

Puff stated,

"I have huge plans for both. Twelve months ago, I basically relocated to L.A. I still live in New York, but I'm bi-coastal. I have some major announcements at the top of the year on things I'm producing—an announcement that's bigger than anyone can realize on something I'm acquiring.

And also, films that I'm starring in. I'm looking forward to 2012; it's a huge transition for me out of music onto the big screen and continuing my legacy as a producer.

You know, I'm one of the most successful African-American television executive producers in history. I've had six shows on the air at one time. I don't say that in a braggadocio way. But you should definitely remember this conversation and look back at it and say, 'I remember he told me he was going to make some huge announcements.'"

In regards to the man who put Ciroc on the map, he added,

"The only other thing I can tell you that I am working on is I have been spending some time in Mexico learning about the art of tequila. I'm a huge tequila fan."

Looks like Puff is about to turn up the heat next year in his quest to become a billionaire.

Justin Combs is making a name for himself that will transcend having a restaurant with his moniker, the son of Sean committed to join UCLA's football team.

The 5-foot-9 170-pound defensive back from New Rochelle Iona Prep turned down offers from Villanova, Illinois and Wyoming to accept a scholarship from UCLA.

Although the program just fired their coach, Combs is still excited to live out his dream.

“Playing Division I football was a lifelong dream of mine, and through hard work I was able to achieve it,” said Justin Combs.

Daddy Diddy released a statement, “As a parent, this is one of the proudest moments of my life. This is everything a father could want in his son, for him to excel at what he loves to do.”

The Boys & Girls Club of Harlem was in serious danger of closing down recently until Bad Boy records founder Sean Combs decided to make a donation.

Diddy grew up in the Harlem area so it's only right that he gives back to the community considering all he's taken from his artists. You didn't hear that from us.

“Mr. Combs' contribution comes at a time when we were faced with the possibility of eliminating existing programs and/or club sites. 100% of Mr. Combs' contribution will go directly to the young people, and provide educational, recreational and social enrichment programs allowing us to move forward as a club, uninterrupted," said Willie C. Bentley, Jr. Board Member and Resource Development Chair.

And we're sure this good deed didn't just happen so Mr. Combs can attain some positive press after the club incident with T.I.

This donation is right from the heart.

The Failed and Short-Lived Careers Of Bad Boy Records

The Hip-Hop blogosphere got an unexpected surprise when 21-year-old rapper Machine Gun Kelly announced his signing with Sean "Diddy" Combs, Bad Boy and Interscope this morning.

While we want to congratulate Young MGK on his new deal, we hope the Cleveland newcomer and his EST crew thought this move through.

On one had, Bad Boy is one of the most storied and successful labels in music, but on the other, Sean Combs has left a trail of artists broke, forgotten or dead, while he Diddy-bopped his way to the top.

Here's a look at The Failed and Short-Lived Careers Of Bad Boy Records.

Diddy Settles Civil Suits Stemming From 1999 Club New York Shooting

Sean "Diddy" Combs can finally put the New York club shooting that happened in 1999 behind him.

According to reports, the rap mogul settled all civil actions against him stemming from the decade old shooting.

The New York Post reports:

Sean "Diddy" Combs, his former protégé Jamal "Shyne" Barrow and the now-defunct Times Square hot spot struck a deal earlier this year with three clubgoers shot by Barrow in the notorious 1999 melee, court records show.

The exact terms of the settlements were unknown because of confidentiality agreements between the parties, but former Club New York owner Michael Bergos, who did not sign the confidentiality deal, said the most seriously injured victim, Natania Reuben, was paid $1.8 million.

Reuben, 40, was shot in the nose and suffered seizures because of seven bullet fragments still lodged in her face.

Two other victims were paid $500,000 and $50,000.

Bergos said he was unsure who paid what amount in the deal, but Barrow's and the club's shares were picked up by insurance companies, while Diddy -- who was acquitted in the criminal case related to the brawl -- had to pay out of pocket because his insurance company had gone belly up.

If you close your eyes, you can picture Puffy somewhere "Diddy boppin'" in celebration.

As for Shyne, he's probably somewhere in Belize wondering where it all went wrong.

Right here, Shyne. 1999 in New York. It all went downhill for you from here.

If there was ever a hip-hop CEO that thought etiquette was important for his employees and the crew he hangs with, Sean "Diddy" Combs fits the bill.

Combs hired Dawn Bryan, an 'international protocol expert' and author of a book called The Art and Etiquette of Gift Giving, to give lessons on holding chopsticks, how to give out business cards in Japan, how to hold a wine glass and how to eat caviar.

The New York Post reports that a Bad Boy rep said the lessons were part of a series of training sessions for employees at the company's Midtown offices that are "a protocol for new hires."

Music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs can't stop, won't stop changing his name. The Bad Boy recently changed it yet again, to SWAG.

Diddy, or SWAG recently took to Twitter to announce name change, even switching his Twitter name from @iamdiddy to @iamswag.

This is just one of several nicknames Combs has held over his career. Orginally called “Puff Daddy”, Combs later shortened it to “Puff” only to re-christen himself “P. Diddy” a short time later. After losing the P, Combs has now embraced SWAG.

The apple doesn't fall far from the tree in the Combs family, as Diddy's 13-year-old son, Christian Combs, performed right alongside his father during Diddy-Dirty Money's “Coming Home” tour stop Saturday night at L.A.'s Club Nokia.
