Shawty Lo had a scare this week, but is doing well now. The G-Unit recruit/D4L boss suffers from diabetes and was hospitalized on Tuesday (December 20).

Shawty Lo's manager Johnnie Cabbell spoke with MTV's Rap Fix and stated,

"We appreciate the outpouring of concern and prayers. Shawty Lo was hospitalized yesterday. 

He suffers from Diabetes and had to seek immediate medical attention, although he is now resting and doing well.  He will be able to fulfill his scheduled upcoming performances and appearances."

Earlier this year, Hip-Hop Wired spoke exclusively with  Shawty Lo about his diabetes as well as signing to G-Unit.

Speaking on his "Sugar" complications,

Lo said,

"I'm a diabetic.  I've been a diabetic for eleven years.  At first I was in denial when I found out and I wanted to keep eating and doing the same things I had been doing. 

But once you learn how to cope, you deal with it.  So that's what I do know, I  tell people that have been diagnosed with diabetes that you can live with it."

While Waka Flocka was trying to give back for a good cause at his celebrity bowling party last night, one of his former associates decided to air out some grievances and make the night a violent one.

Deb Antney, CEO of Mizay Entertainment announced that her company would donate ten homes to single and grandparent headed households and Waka donated $50 per strike. Ludacris, French Montana, and Shawty Lo were some of the celebs in the building.

Ludacris' mother informed Freddy O that her son's foundation won the competition. She told him, “The Luda Foundation was victorious, beating both Rah Rah's Village of Hope and Toya Wright's Visual Beauty with an impressive ten strikes!”

50 Cent and new G-Unit signee Shawty Lo made their rounds on Atlanta airwaves on Friday to talk about their new joint venture.

As previously reports, Atlanta rapper Shawty Lo announced the joint partnership between his own label D4L Records and 50 Cent's powerhouse imprint G-Unit.

"When you say that, people think Shawty Lo is signed to G-Unit, when Shawty Lo is signed to D4L through G-Unit," 50 explained to Hot 107.9 radio hosts The Durrty Boyz.

"My reason for signing with 50 is I feel like he's a marketing genius," Shawty Lo added.

"I've been watching him since he first came in the game, before I even thought about being a rapper. But to make it short and simple, I signed a big deal with 50, a $10 million deal. And if that ain't enough, he's sitting right beside me, so lets get it."
