The industry was thick at last night's ATL LIVE ON THE PARK monthly music showcase produced by Shanti Das & Marlon Nichols.

Devyne Stephens' Upfront Megatainment hosted the night, which saw the likes of Akon, Jermaine Dupri, Steve Rifkind, Jazze Pha, Q. Parker (112), and so many more.

RL, Dave Hollister, Rock City and newcomers Majic Massey and Cassandra Batie gave soul-stirring performances. R&B veteran Tony Terry also surprised the crowd with a throwback rendition of “When I'm With You.” Good music is definitely alive and well.

Two-time GRAMMY award winning producers and recording artists, Play-N-Skillz have announced that they have signed a record label deal with SRC/Universal Records for their own label imprint, G4 Muzik. The deal will allow the producers the opportunity to sign, develop and market artists with distribution through SRC/Universal Records. Play-N-Skillz have been responsible for numerous monstrous hits including Chamillionaire's platinum hit “Ridin Dirty” and Hurricane Chris' “Halle Berry (She's Fine).

Speaking of the new deal, Steve Rifkind, Founder and Chairman SRC and the man behind the late label Loud Records which bought such classics from Wu-Tang, Mobb Deep, and Big Pun stated,

"Play-N-Skillz have been trend setters for a long time. The music that they make is incredible and they're innate knack for finding great talent is very impressive."

Up first for G4 Muzik is Dallas based recording artist Inertia. Inertia is a talented lyricist who has been perfecting his skills performing all over the country and opening for major artists including Paul Wall, Bone Thugs N Harmony and Juvenile. Inertia's his first single "Body" featuring Slim from 112 will be shipped to radio nationwide next month and was produced by the brothers.

As they prepare to unleash their next wave of hits, Play says,

"We are extremely excited to be a part of the SRC/Universal Records family. This is an amazing opportunity for us to work with Steve Rifkind, one of the most influential record executives in the last 25 years, the same man who discovered the Wu-Tang Clan, Akon, Big Pun and Brand Nubian. For Steve, along with SRC President Gaby Acevedo to help seal the deal, on G4 Muzik is very monumental for us and verifies that we are on the right track."

In addition, Play-N-Skillz have been in the studio working with Nelly, Bun B, Pitbull and Hurricane Chris, to name a few. They have also won an ASCAP Award this year and scored their second Grammy for producing Lil' Wayne's hit single "Got Money" feat T-Pain.

Skillz summed up their accomplishment adding,

"This label deal will allow us to showcase our executives side as well as our creative and artistic sides. All of our hard work is paying off and I am excited for the future of G4 Muzik."
