Casting For Jerry Seinfeld Acura Super Bowl Commercial Requested Light Skin Blacks

Remember actor-comedian Jerry Seinfeld's Super Bowl ad where he's attempting to be the first owner of a flashy new Acura model that featured Jay Leno? It appears that the Black actor who played the salesman in the commercial was just the right shade of Negro for the job. According to an exclusive report from TMZ, had the actor been any darker of skin, he would not have gotten the part.

Seinfeld finds himself at the center of another racial controversy; this after TMZ reporters got hold of a casting call document (see next page) for the role of “African-American Car Dealer” that specifically states that actors going for the part must be “Nice looking, friendly. Not too dark. Will work with a MAJOR COMEDIAN.” Right, we're scratching our heads on this one too. Did this actor have to have a clean criminal record and just one baby momma on top of that too?

The document came from the angry actor who didn't get the part because he was a little too, ahem, Black, apparently. While this latest occurrence is nowhere close to Seinfeld's former TV co-star Michael Richards' racist tirade, you kinda get the feeling Ol' Jerry is probably a little embarrassed by all this recent attention.

It'd be interesting to see how Acura fixes this fiasco. Anyone seen Wesley Snipes lately? That's a dark skinned brother looking for work, for sure.

After capturing the 2012 Super Bowl Championship and surviving a salsa battle against Rocsi Diaz, New York Giants star wide receiver Victor Cruz got a chance to sit down and relax a bit. Cruz found the time to stop by the XXL offices and spoke with Joe Budden. Naturally with football being both a hobby and profession for the NY Giant, the sport was a topic of conversation, as was Cruz's infamous salsa dance. While most people know Joe Budden as being an MC, he is equally as popular in New York City strip clubs. The two Jersey natives discussed proper strip club etiquette and much more in this hilarious interview.

Nas & French Montana Perform At 1 Oak In NYC [Video]

Fresh off of the Carnegie Hall stage, Nasty Nas stepped into 1 Oak Club in New York City to perform some of his classic records at the New York Giants' Super Bowl After-party. Still in his tuxedo, Nas took the crowd back to Illmatic and It Was Written, with performances of "NY State of Mind" and "If I Ruled The World," respectively. On hand to witness the show was French Montana, and Nas passed the mic to the Bad Boy rapper to perform "Shot Caller."

Not to be outdone by the new generation, Nas shut the place down with a performance of "Made You Look" to close out the show. With Nas perparing to release a new studio album this year, we can only hope that this trip down memory lane serves as a preview of what's to come.

Nicki has been rumored to be debuting a new tune from her upcoming Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded album during her Grammy performance, but hasn't said which song it will be. This song sounds like it fits the bill, and is a huge step up from "Stupid H*e," but you be the judge.

M.I.A. Flips The Bird During Super Bowl Halftime Show, NFL & NBC Apologize

During Madonna's Super Bowl halftime performance, featured guest M.I.A. decided to flip the bird at the camera. The NFL promptly apologized for the snafu, blaming M.I.A., of course, and the NFL, reports the Hollywood Reporter.

"The NFL hired the talent and produced the halftime show," NBC said in a statement. "Our system was late to obscure the inappropriate gesture and we apologize to our viewers."

In turn, the NFL blamed NBC. "There was a failure in NBC's delay system. The obscene gesture in the performance was completely inappropriate, very disappointing, and we apologize to our fans."

Who needs to get all the blame is M.I.A., who is no doubt now being proclaimed by mainstream media outlets as the epitome of Hip-Hop. That's because, ya know, only rappers would raise up their middle finger on national television.

Chad Ochocinco Buys Teammates $28K Worth Of Beats By Dre Headphones

Chad Ochocinco copped every one of his New England Patriots teammates Beats By Dre headphones, reports the Boston Herald. This Sunday will mark the wide receiver's first trip to the Super Bowl so he decided to drop about $28,000 to purchase the pricey headphones.

"Thanks ocho.. You the man," tweeted Patriots offensive lineman Nick McDonald, who also took a pic of his gift (see below).

The headphones, the Beats Pro model which cost about $400 each, are definitely a much better look than those Ugg boots Tom Brady outfitted the squad with.

50 Cent Issues Super Bowl Bet To Birdman

Birdman recently issued a $5 million dollar bet on this year's Super Bowl, via Twitter. While he didn't receive an acceptance of that particular wager, he did receive a counter offer. 50 Cent responded to Birdman's challenge with one of his own, by tweeting, "I'm up 500,000 off the last one. Fawk it ill bet it back Ill put a 1,000,000 on my G MEN. STUNNER you got the # hit me if you want it."

Whether it's $1 million or $5 million, these two moguls are definitely confident in their chances of success within this competition. We'll have to wait and see what "happy medium," the two can agree upon.
