Bun B To Host Food Bank For Charity

As the Holiday season gears into full swing various artists are donating their time to help those less fortunate. DJ Drama recently made headlines for his charitable endeavors with Atlanta's Hosea Williams Feed The Hungry program while Cash Money CEOs Birdman and Slim will be hosting their 13^th annual turkey giveaway for the occasion.

Following in Hip-Hop's philanthropic footsteps is none other than UGK's Bun B who is stepping in to host a food drive to feed the hungry.

Bun is teaming up with Boost mobile to collect food for the Houston food bank. The phone company will also donate $5,000 to a charity he specially selected, Bethel's place community and outreach center.

Local Houston radio station KBXX 97.9 ‘The Box' will be onsite broadcasting live and giving people who donate five or more canned goods free tickets to see Bun B in concert later that night at Hush nightclub.

Bun B's food drive takes place Wednesday November 25 at the Boost Mobile in Westhill Village.

Good to see Bun giving back to the community and keeping that UGK legacy going.

Pimp C's Solo Project Still In The Works, Album Cover Revealed

Pimp C's untimely death in 2007 shocked millions of fans of the Underground Rap Kings. Now two years since his passing, the other half of his UGK family is keeping his legacy alive through a new album.
Bun B is still helping to put the finishing touches on Pimp's second solo project titled, The Naked Soul of Sweet James Jones. The Naked Soul serves as the sequel to his Sweet James Jones Stories released in 2005.
Bun B made sure to take his time selecting songs for the album, telling XXL it took time to create a track list for the finished project.

“We had enough vocals, But it wasn't just about taking whatever vocals I had available; it was about constructing songs. It wasn't about just throwing all the Pimp C I had out there. I had to really try to make an album."

The album cover for The Naked Soul of Sweet James Jones hit the net today and shows the late Pimp in his signature white fur coat surrounded by women and a candy painted red Rolls Royce.

There is no official release date for the project.
