CES the world’s largest trade show is currently underway. Today Panasonic has a treat for DJs by unveiling its latest turntable model the Technics SL-1200 MK7.
Technics, the turntable brand cranking out the influential instrument since the 1970s, revived the line back in 2016 to a costly tune of $4,000. The company is back once again with the official reveal of a pair of models that have an even heftier price tag of $10,000 and up.
No disrespect to Gemini, Numark or any other manufacturer, but the turntable of choice for any serious DJ has always been the Technics 1200. After going out of production for years, today (Jan. 4) at CES, the Technics SL-1200G and limited edition Grand Class SL-1200GAE turntable was revealed.
