Beanie Sigel Back In The Studio

The Broad Street Bully has returned to the booth. It looks like Beans is back to being focused on the music, after seemingly putting aside his legal troubles, and issues with Jay-Z.

From the sounds of what he's working on, a new mixtape is on the way from B. Sigel. Peep the video.

“Bleek you're still with me. What did I say?/ The time is coming; you one hit away.” – Jay Z (Momma Loves Me)

There are some people in the world that know exactly how to play their position and are aware of when the time has come and gone. Others have the issue of not coming to grips with the fact that their 15 minutes of fame has come and gone and their presence is becoming more of an annoyance than a blessing.

As Beanie Sigel continues to wage his war and air out all of his issues with Jay Z, the rapper has now decided to pick on Memphis Bleek.

Already attacking him verbally on “Think Big”, Sigel has now discredited Bleek for his history in the industry and claims that the rapper was on the come up back in the day and is still on the come up. At no point has Bleek been able to establish himself and stand on his own two feet and has essentially lived in Jay's shadow.

During an interview with The Source, the Broad Street Bully went in and proclaimed that with the Roc disbanded, Jigga's protégé is now in a place where he might be most comfortable and he can start getting the attention again.

“I mean to me right now, that's Jay young boy, that's his lil' man. Me, honestly, I think Bleek is happy haow things are right now. Because now he really gets to be Jay's lil' man and it's evident, you can see it.

It's like he's the last one who survived. He weathered the storm but the storm didn't start with the break up, the storm started when Beanie Sigel got signed to the Roc. He was coming of age when I came. He's still coming of age.”

Everybody remember Hov saying that Bleek was only one hit away, but clearly that hit never came to fruition as far as Beans is concerned.

How odd enough is that Jigga not only was looking to the best interests of his protégé as he was Sigel that seemed to be unwilling, and is still unable, to shake that street mentality which will forever hinder his true potential for success in the mainstream and achieving the dividends which seems to be the underlying issue whether it is admitted or not.

“Beans I ain't tryin to change you, just give you some game/ To make the transition, from the street to the fame.”

The 15 minutes are over Beanie Sigel, what happened has already happened. If there was such an issue then you shouldn't have waited 4 years to speak up. At this point, all the people hear is static.

The closing of 2009 solidified a few things that were before uncertain as 50 Cent dropped Before I Self Destruct.

Not only was the rapper able to finally release the much delayed album, but he was also able to make the statement that he can still, for the most part, deliver that raw aggressive material that gained him such fan fare in 2003 and during his come up.

One thing left uncertain, however, is the future of Beanie Sigel as it relates to his music career. Granted, yes there will always be an outlet for his to release material, but being driven by the machine known as Fif, one would have thought that teaming up would lead to something greater.

Alas, Beans is still where he was before joining 50 to attack Jay Z and those whereabouts are unknown to anybody. Point in case is that nothing has blossomed, as far as the masses can see, for Sigel.

During an interview in The Source, the Broad Street Bully addressed the claims that 50 was only using the Philly rapper in order to promote his album and bring more buzz in his direction.

“If 50 Cent is using Beans to do what he's going to do, that's cool. But at the same time, Beans is using 50 Cent to do what I need to be done. So at the end of the day we use each other, but we don't misuse each other.”

Now if that's true, what exactly is Beans getting out of the deal. There hasn't been any update on him signing with G-Unit. Haven't actually heard anything from him in quite some time after dropping the three tracks.

It seems like it was a short run, but hey the ride was decent while it lasted unless there's business going on behind closed doors. Let's all get back to our scheduled lives and maybe the two will find a way to surprise everyone.

In the meantime, how about a moment of silence to commemorate what was.

“Aggressive content because I'm a very aggressive person.”

Beanie Sigel has always been known as a great lyricist that was able to bring the harsh realities of the hood to life on wax.

His strength, however, was also his weakness, as his tales may have held him back from achieving the success that Jay-Z knew he could gain. The aggressive content of the stories he told were never able to translate into major sales, although the streets always stood behind Sigel and fully endorsed his product.

In his climb back into music, the Philly native failed to even shake the table with the release of the album/mixtape The Broad Street Bully, which was released at the top of September.

Setting his sights on Jay-Z, however, has awakened an angry rapper which was first showcased on “Average Cat." Throwing more jabs in the forms of “How I Can Kill Jiggaman” and “Think Big," the Bully is clearly back to push some folks around.

The release of the song “I Go Off” featuring 50 Cent also established that the rapper was returning to his purest form.

Speaking with MTVs Mixtape Daily, the rapper seemed to be revived in music as he now can see no restraints that once held him back in his career.

“Me being able to do what I'm capable of doing, what I did my whole career, without the blockage of people stopping my music or my product from going to the heights it should go and it's capable of going.”

Living in a rough world brings about rough truths that many aren't willing to accept, let alone talk about. Sigel is a rapper that can only tell things the way that they are no matter what type of ripple effect is caused.

“Everything that's out is aggressive, you know what I mean? Even if you look at what people would say [about] the recession — ‘It came so aggressively,' you know what I mean? Everybody gotta move and be aggressive, and even in just a work space by being able to hold down your job you gotta go extra hard with everything, so that's just what I do. My music reflects what's going on today.”

In his return, the rapper also spoke on possible collaborations he would look forward to in the future.

“Right now, I'm just concentrating on my own music. I wouldn't mind working with Yo Gotti, I'd work with Young Jeezy, I'd work with Wayne.”

Whether closure is found between Beans and Jay or not, the rapper intends to stay on his own course of revealing the truth. Stating that his next album will be titled The Closure, the project is set for a 2010 release and aims to find answers to truly part ways with his history on Roc-A-Fella and Jay-Z.

As the holiday has come and go, the same issues have survived in a time where people are meant to be thankful for what they have in their particular situations.

Issues continue to spiral between Beanie Sigel and Jay-Z as the Broad Street Bully continues to publicize the inner turmoil that was once a friendship

During an interview with DJ On&On, Sigel is now stating that Jigga may have enlisted Nas to help him in the bubbling beef with himself and 50 Cent. Referring to the rumored sequel to “Empire State of Mind” the Philly native feels as though this will be the platform for his former boss to finally throw shots.

“I credit him for the moves he make, but I'm nice at chess too. They say he got a record [that's] supposed to come out, the remix to that “New York” Shyte. He poppin' shots at me. He poppin' shots at 50. He put Nas on the record hoping that a n*gga will respond to it and come at Nas. Nas gon' come right back. He's not gonna hold no punches. He's gon' come right back. He should come right back, but look at the moves. I seen it.”

The history books show a time when Sigel was playing the shooter for Jay during the battle with Hov and Nas. In regards to a round two, the rapper apparently has no worries as it is a road that he has already crossed before.

“I'm not worried about Nas. I did that already. I did that already, in defense of [Jay]. I was there when dude was in the studio, on the couch, scratching his head under pressure.”

The only problem with the beef is the fact that the war has been one-sided with words only coming from Beans and barely a whisper from Jay. He maintains that he is waiting a counterpunch.

“I'm looking for a response. I know I'm a bully, but it ain't no fun if he don't swing back. Swing back, man.”

He adds that, at this point, the fire separating the two cannot be extinguished so easily anymore. There is only one way for the issues to be put to rest.

“We gotta do it televised now. It'll be over, but our face-to-face conversation gotta be televised because the public wanna know. They deserve to know. The people wanna know. You gotta understand, there was people across the world that were putting up that dynasty sign, who believed in that Roc La Familia.”

As the saga continues, the soap opera drama is starting to look like a plea for attention from Beanie Sigel. The Bully might not be realizing how far ahead Jay might see himself now as opposed to the days when The Dynasty was intact.
