Jon Stewart run on The Daily Show is soon coming to a close but his successor is a pleasant surprise. South African comic Trevor Noah will take the reigns and replace Stewart, whenever he ends his 16 year tenure sometime this year.
Since its inception in 1996, we’ve seen The Daily Show evolve from Craig Kilborn’s vehicle to a by the numbers, nightly talk show, to the best political satire on TV. Yesterday, many a fan was understandably sad to hear Jon Stewart was leaving the flagship show after taking over hosting duties in 1999.
Jay Z has accomplished plenty of things in his career; founded Roc-a-fella Records, helped bring the Nets to Brooklyn, fathered Blue Ivy, etc. Nevertheless, FOX News decided to harp on the fact that he’s a former crack dealer as if it was the only facet of his life worth mentioning.
