New Orleans Psychologist Says “Young Black Thugs” Need To Be “Put Down Like Dogs”

A psychologist employed by the Jefferson Parish school system in New Orleans is causing controversy over a series of racist views posted on his Twitter page. Mark Traina became the focus of an ongoing investigation after his Twitter rants were put on display by the Southern Poverty Law Center. Similar to the comments made by NYPD officials facing a discrimination lawsuit, Traina likened black men to animals. “Young Black Thugs who won't follow the law need to be put down not incarcerated,” he wrote. “Put down like the Dogs they are!”

Traina, who works with students in alternative schools, posted several ridiculous comments including warning people to “stay the hell out of New Orleans” because “these black dude will kill you.” He also threw his support behind George Zimmerman, killing Trayvon Martin, calling the 28-year-old “the real victim” in the altercation.

One day after filing a complaint against the Jefferson Parish Public Schools, civil rights groups complained about Traina's comments—many of which were a direct response to the group's original gripes. When asked about his racist words, Traina defended himself by stating that his views are not representative of his employers. “I don't represent the Jefferson Parish school system,” he said. “I represent Mark Traina. I make that very clear in my comments. Everything I said is fact-based, backed up by data. I don't have a prejudiced bone in my body. I'm not a racist. I'm a realist.”

The school district has yet to announce whether or not Traina has been fired, but he has decided to stop tweeting.

After a fan asked why the Bajan singer was being quite on the tweets, Rih Rih tweeted a picture of her arm, which happened to have an IV in it.

Nicki Minaj Refuses To Come Back To Twitter, Now Talking Retirement [VIDEO]

File this under WTF. Nicki Minaj was over in the UK with Tim Westwood and the radio DJ made it a point of asking her if she would make a return to Twitter after she chucked the deuce at her 11 million followers. The YMCMB rapper seemed steadfast in her refusal to re-enter the Twitter matrix, despite Westwood's pleas. "Tim, I can't," she said in a faux Brit accent, adding "I miss my Barbs, but I can't come back. I just can't Tim, don't make me. Please don't."

Also while in the UK, Nicki told The Graham Norton Show that, "A voice in my head told me to delete my Twitter and that's what I did." Right.

Even with the 11 million followers she has/had on Twitter, only about 252,000 people copped Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded its first week in stores. In comparison, her Pink Friday debut sold 375,000 copies it first week out back in November, 2010.

Also, besides stans thinking it's the greatest album since sliced bread, it has been coolly received critically. Actually, plenty of people think it's god awful. The YMCMB rapper has even said she is considering early retirement because of the negative feedback she has been receiving regarding her Pop aspirations. "This is my fourth mixtape really," she told Westwood in her best Lil Wayne impersonation. "You know what I'm saying. The did did like that so she could feed her fans. But really, now the kid is thinking maybe she should leave the game."

Prodigy Talks Using Alleged Mobb Deep Breakup For Publicity [VIDEO]

Now that the Mobb Deep breakup saga is seemingly over, with a hacker being blamed on Havoc's inflammatory tweets, Prodigy sat down with Hot 97's Cipha Sounds & Rosenberg yesterday (April 17) morning to set the record straight.

After being grilled by CS and Rosenberg to tell the truth and shame the Devil, P admitted he is still somewhat clueless as to how the whole situation blew up. “I can't even tell you how it happened,” said P. “All I can say is that when we got down to the bottom of it, me and Hav realized what was going on, we knew it was all bogus.”

Prodigy acknowledged that when the duo didn't come forward immediately to clarify the situation it may have looked like something was afoot for someone on the outside looking in. “We didn't get up on Twitter and be like its bogus. So that's probably why people think we set it up or something. We just waited for a minute, and we was like, ‘You know what? They'll see when we at the game and we working on this album putting out singles that it's all a bunch of nothing.”

The “Shook Ones” rapper even admitted to using the situation to his advantage. “Really, me and Hav are businessmen. We stepped back and was like, ‘Alright, how can we use this to our advantage. And basically we was like, ‘Alright well, P got an album bout to drop. Just wait, do the interviews and promote your sh#t like you supposed to.'”

“Me and Hav, its business as usual,” he added. “We good.”

With so many conflicting stories and information its hard to tell who to believe. But if they say they are cool, they are cool. Right?

Nicki Minaj Deletes Her Twitter Account, Says "Good F-cking Bye"

Nicki Minaj's eleven million plus Twitter followers got left in the cold today, wondering if and when they'll get another 140 character or less missive from their muse. The YMCMB Barbie put the kabosh on her @NickiMinaj account. "Like seriously, its but so much a person can take. Good f-cking bye," was her final message. Go to the page now and all you'll get is the "Sorry, that page doesn't exist" message.

Apparently, the "Starships" rapper/singer had enough of fan site Nicki Daily, which also seems to be a wrap, leaking her music, reports dajaz1. So Minaj joined a growing list of Hip-Hop celebs that couldn't take the heat—Havoc of Mobb Deep is another recent Twitter quitter—and decided to abandon the social media ship.

Once you suspend an account you have 30 days to reclaim it. Think she'll be back?

Havoc Claims Cell Phone Was Stolen, Mobb Deep Still Intact

Early this morning, the Internets were all in a huff over slanderous tweets that were thought to be coming from Havoc of Mobb Deep and aimed at his long time rhyme co-d Prodigy. In a series of tweets, Havoc's @THEREALHAVOC account called Capital P everything but a child of God while alleging that he engaged in homos-xual acts while he was locked up. The fellow Queensbridge rapper and accomplished producer also threatened P with the fade on sight. Well in a dramatic turn of events, by social media standards, Havoc claims that it was all a case of a stolen cell phone.

The H.A.V.O.C. issued the following statement:

"Just getting back into NY after my Easter weekend with family and friends in Jersey. I left my phone at a gas station yesterday evening while on my way to Jersey after a glorious Knick's game. To all Mobb Deep fans: it's business as usual! It's Mobb Deep all day!!! My twitter account @THEREALHAVOC will be down until further notice. The only other real account is @PRODIGYMOBBDEEP. Ignore the rest. One!"

Earlier this evening, Prodigy—who recently told Hip-Hop Wired about Mobb Deep's formula for longevity—issued a short statement of his own, via Twitter. "ATTENTION: TO BE CLEAR@PRODIGYMOBDEEP IS A FAKE PAGE I DONT EVEN KNOW WHY SH-T IS VERIFIED TWITTER PEOPLE R ON SUM BULLSHIT RIGHT NOW SMH..," he tweeted. "IM A FATHER ,AN ADULT, IM NOT HERE TO BEEF IM HERE TO MAKE MUSIC."

It Was All Good 2 Weeks Ago: Prodigy Speaks On Mobb Deep's Longevity [VIDEO]

Prodigy and Havoc off Mobb Deep beefing with each other on Twitter? Nobody wanted to believe that the Queensbridge rap duo could call it quits and sully almost two decades worth of murderous hits like "Shook Ones Part II" and "Quiet Storm," and sinister album cuts like "Still Shining," over a squabble that spilled over onto the Internets.

About two weeks ago, Hip-Hop Wired spoke with Prodigy, who was excited about the prospect of going on tour and penning an anthem for the New York Knicks, whose bench is calling themselves "Mob Deep." We specifically asked P how Mobb Deep was able to stay together when so many rap groups have called it quits over the years. "We just some serious thinkers, we think far into the future," said Prodigy. "Even if problems arise, we already way ahead where we like, 'Hold up, f-ck this bullsh-t, we still trying to go this sh-t over hear.' Some people can't get through that. Some people can't see past their nose and they ain't got no goal they striving for. But Mobb Deep, we always got it in our mind that we trying to go down in history as one of the longest rap groups in rap history, in Hip-Hop history, in music history."

White Supremacist Hacks Trayvon Martin's E-mail Account

While George Zimmerman has been in hiding, his supporters are busy maintaining the racist practices that led to Trayvon Martin's murder. A white supremacist—who is clearly itching to get retaliated against—admitted to hacking into Martin's e-mail, and social networking accounts, and leaking his personal business all over the 'Net.

The cowardly hacker, who goes by the name Klanklannon, posted the 17-year-old's personal Facebook messages on a political message board site called 4Chan.org, Klanklannon, uploaded screen shots of correspondence between Martin and a friend, in which they talk about getting high, another slide titled "Trayvon Martin was a Drug Dealer," acts to prove that he sold drugs.

Being that propaganda is much more easily spread since the creation of Photoshop, the authenticity of Martin's posts cannot be confirmed. However the tech thief also sent a photo of the Florida high school student's gmail inbox over to Gawker, to prove his hacking abilities. Elsewhere on the smear campaign, conservative website, The DailyCaller.com somehow gained access to his Twitter account and posted his tweets, before the page was deleted.

These latest moves contributing to the degradation of the unarmed teen's character is yet another foolish attempt at blaming the victim. Since his death, Martin has become an unwitting martyr for a nation that—judging by the majority response to his killing—is tired of accepting the racial inequalities that continue to get swept under the rug.

The Commission Debates - "Has Social Media Killed The Diss Record?" [Video]

Hip-Hop Wired presents a 4-part series entitled The Commission. The name derives from the Hip-Hop super-group that never came to fruition, which consisted of The Notorious B.I.G., Jay-Z, & Charli Baltimore. The group was designed around two of the Greatest MC's of All-Time, which would have represented Hip-Hop at the highest levels possible. The aim of Hip-Hop Wired's Commission is to essentially bring you opinions from some of the most respected names and brands within Hip-Hop culture. Part Three asks, "Has Social Media Killed the Diss Record?"

Dave Chappelle Joins Twitter (No, For Real This Time)

Although the magical blue verified check hasn't appeared yet, very reliable sources are confirming that legendary comedian, Dave Chappelle has joined twitter. His twitter handle, @ChappelleDavidK, was chosen due to the large amount of false accounts that have taken his desired name of plain old @DaveChappelle. After several people like Aziz Ansari, Talib Kweli, Neal Brennan and Questlove all confirmed that this is indeed the real Dave Chappelle, he took a twitpic of himself on a motorcycle "in deep thought." Twitter has to be a big step for the notoriously reclusive comedian, who fell back from fame after walking out on a $50,000,000 deal for a third season of his famed skit series, Chappelle's Show in 2005. The famed series included cameos and performances from the late Rick James, The Roots, Black Star, De La Soul, DMX and more.

We could imagine it would be too much to ask for a return to the hilarious show, but this is a start.
