DMX Announces Release Date For Undisputed Album

The dog is ready for his comeback. We've watched DMX prove how an oppressive drug addiction can ruin a career, but from the looks of it, the Yonkers rapper is back on the right track. X just announced June 26 and the release date for his Undisputed album. “X is very excited to release this project,” his publicist, Domenick Nati told All Hip Hop.

In light of a recent legal hiccup, stemming from a lawsuit filed by a booking agent claiming loss of revenue over tour dates, X is confident that the new album will remind fans of his skill set. “This album has a lot of hits on it," Nati continued. "His fans will see that it's been worth the wait. Undisputed will prove to the world that DMX is back!”

After numerous trips to jail, the most recent of which ended last summer, the 41-year-old is also working on his personal life. Despite threatening to quit VH1's Couple's Therapy, X is still committed to repairing the relationship with estranged wife, Tashera Simmons.

It's been over 15 years since his death and the rap Frank White's murder is still "unsolved." That, is a travesty.

Exclusive: Olivia Lands Record Deal, Manager Says New Album Will Be "A Classic"

Olivia's career trials and tribulations were chronicled throughout the last season of Love & Hip-Hop, and now the singer has landed herself a record deal. G-Unit's former first lady has signed with music industry veteran Jerry “Wonda” Duplessis.

The New York native signed on to Duplessis' newly launched label Wonda Music. According to her manager, Rich Dollaz, the new venture will take her career to the next level. “We've known Jerry for years but now I think with the ground work Olivia and I have laid with ‘December' and ‘Walk Away,' it's time to get with someone who can take her sound to another lever and that's Jerry ,” Dollaz exclusively told Hip-Hop Wired. “He's behind some of the biggest records [and] albums ever so with that said we're pulling out all stops for this Show the World album. Expect a classic.”

Wonda's, credits include working with the likes of Destiny's Child, The Fugees, Shakira, and the late Whitney Houston. Now that she has a label home, Dollaz noted that his client is concentrating on “making a quality project.”

Season three of Love & Hip-Hop is expected to begin soon.

VH1's 'UPRISING: Hip Hop and the LA Riots' Trailer [VIDEO]

VH1 Rock Docs is pointing its lens at the LA Riots. A new documentary, titled UPRISING: Hip-Hop and the LA Riots, will spotlight April 1992's LA riots from the perspective of Hip-Hop artists including Too $hort, Nas, Big Boi and KRS-1. Other participants including John Singleton, Arsenio Hall and Rodney King, whose beating at the hands of LAPD and the subsequent acquittal of the officers sparked the riots.

Watch a preview of what is sure to be a must see documentary—which is narrated and executive produced by Snoop Dogg—after the break. UPRISING: Hip Hop and the LA Riots will premiere at the SXSW Film Festival on March 14th at 10PM CT

June Ambrose Talks Putting Diddy In The Shiny Suit [VIDEO]

Celebrity stylist June Ambrose has an extensive resume that include clients like Jay-Z, Beyoncé and Mary J. Blige, but her career defining moment was convincing Sean "Diddy" Combs to wear a shiny suit in the Notorious B.I.G.'s "Mo Money Mo Problems" video. Ambrose credits her heritage for the idea to forsake common leather for shimmery attire.

"Well I'm West Indian, so metallic fabrics and shiny fabrics is what I grew up with in the West Indians for Carnival," Ambrose told MediaBistro's Media Beat. Hype Williams, the video's directly, originally wanted red leather, but was down for the metallic fabric. But Diddy needed to be persuaded.

“With the metallic suit it was [convincing] Puffy, this Hip-Hop artist, that this was going to be impactful and was going to change the face of Hip-Hop. I showed him the red metallic and he says, ‘I am not wearing that,'" recalled Ambrose. " I was like please trust me. I had to make one red leather outfit and one metallic leather outfit and… I won!”

Shiny suit man was born.

June Ambrose's VH1 reality series, Styled by June, debuts on March 19th at 9:30pm.

New Season Of VH1's 'Behind The Music' Features Nas, Game, Akon, Pitbull & More [Video]

VH1's popular documentary series Behind The Music, returns for a new season next month. This cycle airing episodes from notable Urban acts: Nas, Game, Akon, T-Pain, Pitbull, and Brandy. In the show's 15-year run (1997-2006, 2009 – Present), the series has chronicled the lives of acts like Lil' Wayne, 50 Cent, T.I., Ice Cube, Missy Elliott, Busta Rhymes, Timbaland, Eminem and DMX.

The new season premiers Thursday, March 12 2012 at 9pm ET, with Cuban rapper Pitbull. During the recap of the Latin rapper's career, he discusses a chance encounter with Irv Gotti, when he was 17 years old, which changed his life.

“[Irv] goes, 'Hey, you write music?' I said, 'Naw, I just freestyle,' he's like, 'Yeah that Isht is great but it don't make no money,'” remembers Pitbull. “Ding ding ding, ding, ding, ding, ding... I started writing since that day forward. That's basically when it all started developing."

Jim Jones Speaks On Juelz Santana

Jim Jones and Juelz Santana's ladies may have beef with each other but the relationship between Jim and Juelz is all good.

Speaking on the altercation that took place on VH1 reality show Love & Hip-Hop between Jones and Santana's girlfriends Jim spoke with TMZ saying "I wish that it wouldn't have happened … but things happen.”

“I spoke to my brother about it, we cool… shout to my lady Chrissy. It's all good.”
