Yesterday, Vic Mensa of the Chicago-based SAVEMONEY collective offered to release a new track in exchange for 200 retweets. After the deed was done, fans received a melodic tune called “Time Is Money,” featuring MMG rapper Rockie Fresh.

We have a keen eye on Chicago’s SAVEMONEY crew. As Chance The Rapper makes his rounds on Mac Miller’s “Space Migration” tour, one of the clique’s worthy lyricists, Vic Mensa, builds anticipation for his INNANETAPE project by debuting a visual for “Hollywood LA.”

Trust us when we say the Save Money clique out of Chicago dons a few special talents. Crew member and former Kids These Days frontman Vic Mensa returns with a smooth groove titled “Hollywood LA.”

We like what we’ve heard from Chicago’s Save Money clique this year. That continues with a new jam by Donnie Trumpet (aka Nico Segal) and Vic Mensa from the disbanded group Kids These Days called “Zion.” The former band mates are joined by cohort and worthy lyricist Chance The Rapper.

Kids These Days represented the other side of Chicago’s Hip-Hop scene, but just as their star began to rise, the group disassembled earlier this year. Since then, the band’s MC Vic Mensa has been crafting his solo project INNANETAPE. Today, he debuts a visual for the mixtape’s second release, “Orange Soda.”
