BBC Radio Cancels Tim Westwood's Afternoon Show

Lauded British radio host and Hip-Hop DJ ,Tim Westwood, has been fired from his afternoon post at BBC Radio. Westwood's show has become a go-to location for the likes of Nicki Minaj, A$AP Rocky, Wale, Big Sean, and more so it's confusing why he would be let go from the gig. The 54-year-old broke the news to his more than 200,000 followers on Twitter yesterday without giving much insight into why he was booted. "I've been sacked from 1Xtra Mon-Fri 4-7pm from sept ‪#Westwoodyourfired‬," he wrote.

After hearing the news, Minaj was downright shocked and used her Twitter page to blast the decision to give Westwood the pink slip. "Noooooooooooooo Tim Westwood is such a big part of my UK experience!!!!!" she wrote. "He's a f**king superstar!!!! Best interviews hands down!!!! Wtf?!?!" Minaj also asked Westwood to contact her, and begged him to move to the states.

Even though his "drivetime" slot is no more, Westwood will remain under the employ of the BBC hosting a Sunday night program, alongside his Saturday night time slot.

The lineup for Jay-Z's Made In America festival, sponsored by Budweiser, has officially been announced. Taking place September 1st and 2nd at Philly's Benjamin Franklin Parkway in Fairmount Park, Jay-Z enlisted big names from all of music including Pearl Jam, Skrillex, MMG, Odd Future, D'Angelo and more for the inaugural festival. More names are going to be added later, but to see the initial number of performers, hit the jump.

There's no denying that Meek Mill's life has changed drastically over the last couple of years. Since aligning himself with Maybach Music, the Philly MC has gone from being locked up to becoming a rap star—who just signed to Roc Nation management. "[I was] in the streets in, playing the corner ducking from cops nad hustling trying to make some money just to feed your family to pay a bill or to," he told Hip-Hop Wired. "Now everything is straight." Still reeling from the reception of his Dreamchasers 2 mixtape,which has been downloaded well over 2 million times since last week, the 25-year-old spoke with us about how much his life has changed, and what Rick Ross said to him after signing to the label.

Rico Love has been slowly building up his Division 1 record label based out of Miami, Florida through artist like Young Chris and Teiarra Marie. Yesterday we posted a song featuring one of his newest signees, Rabbit.

We said she was a certified a snackbox, and we weren't kidding. The former model is best known for her spreads in Smooth Magazine and has now forayed into a career in Hip-Hop with the multi-platinum producer backing her. Check out some more looks from Rabbit after the jump and in the gallery.
