Hip-Hop Wired presents a new 4-part series entitled, The Commission. The name derives from the Hip-Hop super-group that never came to fruition, which consisted of The Notorious B.I.G., Jay-Z, & Charli Baltimore. The group was designed around two of the Greatest MC's of All-Time, which would have represented Hip-Hop at the highest levels possible. The aim of Hip-Hop Wired's Commission is to essentially bring you opinions from some of the most respected names and brands within Hip-Hop culture.

This four part series will examine the following subjects:

"Who is Hip-Hop's Next Great MC?"

"Who is the Best Camp in the Game?"

"Has Social Media Killed the Diss Record?"

"Has Hip-Hop Lost some of its Masculinity/Is Gangster Rap Dead?"

The Panelists:

Skoob - Sr. Editor at Hip-Hop Wired, Co-Host of Hip-Hop Unplugged & Music Junkies, has also worked for MTV & VH1 Networks

Alvin "Aqua" Blanco - Deputy Editor at Hip-Hop Wired, Contributed to XXL, Vibe, The Source and former Editor at AllHipHop.com

Kazeem "Kaz" Famuyide - Editor at The Source Magazine & Co-founder of RLE

Austin Miller - Music Producer, #Earned Instrumental Mixtape coming soon, Digital Marketer at ICED Media

Ice - A&R of The Streets

Eb The Celeb - Digital Content Producer that has worked for BET & Sirius/XM Satellite Radio, Digital Content Manager for Ne-Yo's Compound Entertainment

Rahim Wright - Morning Show Producer at Clear Channel Network & Digital Publicist

Melanie Sims - Music Writer & Producer for ABC Radio, Written for Assoc. Press, Vibe & Essence Magazine

Contributing Panelists Opinions

Eb The Celeb

My vote is for Big K.R.I.T. I feel lyrically, with his story telling, charisma, humility and the fact that he comes off as a really good dude that he has the potential to be around for a long time. I don't necessarily feel his debut will be this huge commercial hit (similar to T.I.'s I'm Serious), but the career that T.I. has had since then, I feel emulates what Krit's will blossom in to. He also makes his own beats, which also favor his longevity.

Melanie Sims

Kendrick Lamar for $1000, Alex. At this very moment, somebody's enjoying that "Buried Alive" interlude from Drake's Take Care, and they have no clue that they're listening to Kendrick Lamar. He's underground famous -- not famous famous -- which is unfortunate since the masses could benefit from adding a little O(verly) D(edicated) or Section.80 to their iTunes library. Kendrick also seems to have more heart than he has ego. There's a rawness and thoughtfulness to his lyrics that the game could always use more of. Please see: "Ignorance is Bliss," "Keisha's Song (Her Pain)"...

As co-host of Rozay's latest mixtape, XXL's Shaheem Reid, was privy to some extensive time with the MMG Boss. In part one of their interview session, Ross shared the story of how he's built the Maybach Music empire. The Miami MC spoke on how he met both Wale and Meek Mill, and how a deal with MMG came to fruition. "That was destiny, because when thinking back on my encounters with both Meek and Wale, they both just felt natural," Ross stated.

He went on to share what it is about the two MC's that built such a strong sense of camaraderie between the three of them. "They both work at the kind of pace that I like to work at," said Ross. "I'm the type that will do three or four records in one day, and if I'm working with you, and you're still on the first record, while I'm going on the fourth, I'm not gonna be that excited to get back into the studio with you because I know that it's always gonna be that overlapping...These dudes are like me."

Rozay shared the creative styles of both as well as the origin of the smash single, "I'ma Boss." "My first time meeting Meek, was after he had just came home, and he told me that he wanted me on the remix. I knew he didn't have the money to pay me for it, but it was just the fact that he put it on the table to do business, so I laced'em."

The year 2012 is shaping up to be a big year for the MMG Camp, as they gear up for several new projects, and possibly new additions to the roster. See what else the 2011 Source Man of the Year had to say about The Untouchable Maybach Music Empire.

Rick Ross' Maybach Music imprint has been a staple for great Hip-Hop music for at least few years now. Most recently, it's become synonymous with building young, up and coming MC's; namely Meek Mill, Wale, and forthcoming artists Stalley, Torch & Gunplay. MTV's Sway had the opportunity to ask Rozay about a couple artists that are on their way up, and the possibility of them joining the camp, including Emilio Rojas and Dom Kennedy.

"If I'm a fan of your music, it's always a possibility and I'm a fan of Emilio" Ross stated. " I feel like that's one of the west coast's finest. Shout-out to Dom, that's my homey for real."

Along with Stalley, both artists are candidates for XXL's 2012 Freshman list, which Meek was a member of during the 2011 campaign. Meek was in fact signed by the label by the time the cover hit the stands, so it'd be interesting to see if either has the same fortune as the Philly spitter in their future. What would be more interesting, is if MMG ends up signing both, and have the possibility of three artists grace this year's cover.

See what else Rozay had to say about the West Coast phenom, Dom Kennedy, and The Breaking Point MC, Emilio Rojas.

It looks like Maybach Music is either gearing up for a new project (Self Made 2) or just keeping their name hot in the streets. Shortly after the release of the Wale, Rozay and Fab collab record, "Albert Pujols," we get almost the full MMG roster on "Slowdown." The track is lead by MMC "OG" Torch and features Wale, Meek Mill, Stalley, Gunplay & Young Breed. Nothing left to be said, this is dope!

Listen and download below.

No stranger to paying homage to great athletes of our time, Wale enlists the bossman, Rick Ross, and Fabolous for "Albert Pujols." With Self Made 2 slated for a 2012 release, this could possibly find a home on that particular project, but we'll see. Once an untagged version of the record is available, we'll make the change, so be sure to check back.
