Yasiin Bey has been named the creative director of South African brand Unknown Union. Considering that South Africa is trying to deport the Brooklyn native after his arrest over an allegedly suspect passport, that could make taking care of his local job duties a little awkward.

Yasiin Bey can count on Kanye West as a real friend, and vice versa. Late last night (Jan. 19) via Twitter, Yeezy shared a message from the rapper formerly known as Mos Def commenting on his recent arrest in South Africa for allegedly trying to travel with a fraudulent passport.
