Exclusive: 50 Cent Says "Now Is The Perfect Time" For The Lost Tape Mixtape

50 Cent's The Lost Tape mixtape just hit the streets but the project has been in the works for while now. In a statement sent to Hip-Hop Wired, the G-Unit head honcho revealed why he chose 2012 to drop the release via his website, just ahead of his new album. “The idea for me and DJ DRAMA came about in 2007. The same year I started THISIS50.com. So I put music out through the site to drive traffic,” he tells us.

“It was successful, we now have 850,000 registered members and we get 30,000,000 unique views per month. Now is the perfect time for this tape.”

While the Queens MC is still doing well on the music front, the same can't be said for G-Unit artist, Young Buck. Aside from heading back to jail for gun possession, Buck also dropped the treacherous new joint “Morning Show.” Maybe 50 will put some money on his books.

Young Buck Going Back To The Bing For Gun Possession, Drops Song Explaining Struggle

Just like many speculated, Young Buck is going back to jail for gun possession. TMZ reports that Buck will be serving 18 months for the charge, which stems from the police raiding his home in 2010 and finding a .40 caliber Glock 22 on the premises, which is likely the same spot he was evicted from last week. The Feds discovering the firearm in the crib might not have been so bad if the Tennessee rapper didn't happen to also be a convicted felon.

Of course, Buck just dropped a new tune called "Morning Show" where he addresses some of his current issues. "In two months I'll be sentenced, 18 months from my kids/Don't know nothing about this weapon, it was nothing I did," spits Buck, who also asserts his innocence, and that he's no snitch, on the track. Young Buck Evicted From His Mansion & Heading To Jail In 2 Months

Young Buck just stays losing. The former G-Unit rapper has been evicted from his Tennessee crib, reports TMZ. Not only has the Cashville, Ten-a-key MC been booted from his crib (he was ordered to clear out on May 16th), but he still owes Uncle Sam $300K in unpaid taxes. It turns out Buck losing his mansion is part of his ongoing bankruptcy proceedings.

But it's not like Buck would have been staying at his now ex-home much in the coming month. A couple of days ago (see video below), the "Let Me In" rapper revealed that he would be heading back to jail for about two months. Although he didn't explain why he was going to the bing, a safe bet it has to do with the gun the feds found in his house during a raid back in 2010.

Back in March 2012, a vehicle Young Back was travelling in was shot at 11 times during a suspected drive by.

One thing you can't call Young Buck is a quitter. Despite a beef with 50 Cent that sidelined his career almost as fast Charles Hamilton catching that 2 piece, the Cashville, Ten A Key is still dropping music. This latest video for "No Place For Me" comes off of his Live Loyal, Die Rich mixtape.

A little over a month ago, Buck was shot at 11 times in an attempted drive and recently the Wall Street Journal reported that his intellectual property (masters, royalties, etc) were up for sale in a Chapter 7 bankruptcy liquidation. So yeah, expect plenty more music from Buck, who recently claimed to be renegotiating with G-Unit Records.

Hip-Hop is a confrontational form of entertainment. It is all fun and games until somebody feels threatened by the success of another entertainer in your lane, and that is usually when things get fussy. Altercations, beef, whatever you want to call it, but when conflicts happen between two artists, something has got to give.

When the bark doesn't tend to match the bite however, the result is the following: rappers copping pleas like they are buy one get one free. Check out some of the best scenarios where rappers popped ish, then apologized. There is always that one a--hole that has to ruin the fun for everybody. Concerts are no exception. When hundreds or even thousands of people are packed in one place high, drunk and rowdy, something is bound to happen. Many times, things get thrown. There is always that one guy (or girl) who gets too juiced up and thinks it is a bright idea to toss an object at the performer's noggin while they are performing. Sometimes the artists deserve it, sometimes they don't, but it rarely turns out positive (just ask Tyga) for one of the parties involved.

Young Buck Shot At 11 Times In Attempted Drive By

Young Buck just can't win. The former G-Unit rapper was driving an SUV in Nashville when a white Chevy Tahoe pulled alongside and opened fire, reports WSMV-TV Nashville. Eleven shots hit Young Buck's ride but he was unharmed. However, a woman riding in the passenger side was shot in the shoulder.

The shooting occurred at 3:30am this morning. The woman who was shot was taken to Vanderbilt Hospital and has already been released while another passenger in the vehicle was uninjured.

On Saturday, Buck was holding a cookout and video shoot in Nashville. Lately, while trying to get his career back on track, Young Buck had been plagued by financial troubles, including bankruptcy that could cost him his stage name.
