It's hard to top a classic album, even if that classic was the artist's debut. It almost seems like a given that, as time progresses, an artist would get better at their craft and be able to put out better and better material. However, for whatever reason, that is rarely the case.

Even with some of the rap game's most heralded artists: just ask Nas, Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent and several other rappers who have yet to surpass the critical acclaim they received on albums they dropped when they were still wet behind the ears in the game. Record sales aside, here are 10 exceptional rap acts who tried and tried, but couldn't top the magic of their first LPs.

New York native, Nicki Minaj, will headline the flagship Hip-Hop show of the summer, Hot 97's Summer Jam. After releasing her sophomore album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, she will be coming home to the New York metropolitan area as the headline act at Metlife Stadium. Joining her will be Young Jeezy, Rick Ross, J. Cole, Wale, DJ Khaled, Waka Flocka, Trey Songz, Maino, Big Sean, 2 Chainz, French Montana, Mavado,and Tyga.

An expected crowd of 55,000 rabid Hip-Hop heads will occupy The MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ on Sunday, June 3rd. You can cop your tickets at Ticketmaster and for more information go to Hot 97.

President Obama Shouts Out Young Jeezy During White House Correspondents Dinner [VIDEO]

Young Jeezy got a shout out at the hands of the most unlikely of fans: President Obama. The Snowman's name came up during the White House Correspondents Dinner Saturday (April 28), in which the president joked about covering Jeezy's music. "In my first term I sang Al Green. In my second term, I'm going with Young Jeezy," he said getting a laugh from the crowd, which included the first lady. "Michelle said 'yeah,' I sing that to her sometimes."

Once he got word of the mention, Jeezy took to Twitter to give thanks. "Shoutout to @BarackObama," he wrote. The Atlanta rapper has been a vocal supporter of Obama, and dropped Hip-Hop's unofficial political anthem,"My President is Black" in 2008.

POTUS, who recently covered Rolling Stone, started the dinner out commemorating the one-year anniversary of the death Osama Bin Laden. Aside from showing Jeezy love, President Obama took a few shots at Sara Palin, Mitt Romney, and Hillary Clinton.
