Curren$y stopped by the Hip-Hop Wired headquarters to talk about his new album, The Stoned Immaculate, which hits stores June 5th. He says that going from making mixtapes to making an album is like "putting on playoff Jordans," as well as what it took to make "Fast Cars, Faster Women."

Curren$y recently stopped by the Hip-Hop Wired headquarters to talk about his brand new album, The Stoned Immaculate. While speaking on the album, he revealed the details of what went into the collaboration with Lil Wayne that ended up on the album. One of the founding members of Young Money, Curren$y explains that the two were never on terrible terms, and says there is much more work to come from the two.

Nicki Minaj's “Right By My Side” single has hit the ‘Net, and the Young Money star is getting extra close with fellow Queens rapper Nas. Minaj casts Nas as her love interest in the video for the Chris Brown-assisted track. It's kind of awkward watching Nas and Nicki tongue wrestle, but it's all for the good of her craft.

Lil Wayne Says He "Loves" And "Misses" Trina [VIDEO]

It looks like Weezy wants that old thing back. The rapper hit up Miami's LIV nightclub for a Mother's Day celebration over the weekend and the only thing on his mind was Trina. Wayne and Trina were an item a few years ago, but haven't really spoken about each other in public in a while. Aside from making lots of babies, Wayne also has a girlfriend. Meanwhile, his former lady is heavy on her rap hustle, and just launched a lipstick line.

During his appearance at the venue, Kobe's No. 1 fan grabbed the mic and asked for his ex. "Is Trina in here? Where is Trina?" he said. Luckily for him, the Diamond Princess just happened to be in the building, as he professed his love.

Lil Wayne Prepping Signature Shoe Line

Lil Wayne is entering the shoe game. Young Money's frontman, and lover of leopard print jeggings and furry boots, is set to expand his empire to include shoes.

In an interview with Vibe.com, Weezy explained that, aside from t-shirts and baseball caps, he will follow in the footsteps of Kanye West and Jay-Z (remember S. Dots?) with his own signature shoe."That will probably be further way down the line," he said. "I do have a shoe coming out soon but it won't be Trukfit. I have [a] shoe with a well-known company. I just don't want to say yet because I haven't dotted the line yet. But it's done." Wayne failed to drop more details only saying, "It's not a Nike or Reebok, I can tell you that much," but when speaking to Amanda Seales on Hip Hop POV last night, he made mention to a possible collaboration with Supra.

Since being released from prison in 2010, the father of four has been all about expansion. He announced plans for the clothing line last December, and debuted the pieces in New York, in January.

Cortez Bryant Donates Half 'A Millie' To His Alma Mater, Jackson State [VIDEO]

Cortez Bryant, who manages Drake and Lil' Wayne, spread a little positivity to his alma mater Jackson State University. Tez donated $500,000 to his university on behalf of retiring band director, Dr. Lewis Liddell. Bryant attended Jackson State on a band scholarship and credits Dr. Liddell as an inspiration. Who says there is no positivity in Hip-Hop? Check the footage below.
