Lil Wayne Says Better Yourself If You’re The Poor People GOP Despises
Lil Wayne spoke to VIBE magazine about some of his political views and his sentiment was not far from Kanye West’s bold statement about the former president.
Weezy expressed his thoughts on the Republican Party and President Obama.
When asked about some of the GOP White House hopefuls, Wayne says he’s not surprised at the far-right’s view of the world.
“You learn from what the right-wing is doing and you take something from it,” Wayne tells VIBE. “I feel like as a people the most that we can do is better ourselves and learn.
Then look at yourself and ask ‘Am I the person they’re talking about or am I not?’ You have to make the most of who you are because the Republicans are never going to like us.”
Wayne also made a remark that the right-wing criticisms of President Obama have more to do with his color than his policies.
