Tonight’s episode of Fuse TV’s Hip Hop Shop will profile one of the hottest labels in the industry, the Maybach Music Group. The special will take a look at the MMG starting line-up including MTV’s newly crowned ‘Hottest MC In The Game,’ Rick Ross. The unit that is Maybach Music just keeps getting stronger, fueled by Ross’ Rich Forever mixtape, which has been downloaded nearly 1 million times, and their forthcoming Self Made, Vol. 2 compilation.
As one of the newer members of the MMG team, Fuse will also air footage (see the video below) of the day they spent with Wale as he hit New York City for his recent show at Irving Plaza, in which he brought out French Montana and Miguel. Since dropping Ambition late last year, the D.C. native has reinvigorated his career, which was on the brink of collapse after getting dropped from Interscope Records. Flash-forward to the present day and Wale has seen his album debut atop Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop Albums charts, and his latest single “Lotus Flower Bomb” hit No. 1 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Songs charts.
Hip Hop Shop is Fuse’s weekly show hosted by writer and pop-culture expert Touré . Featuring the latest music videos and exclusive artist interviews, the show airs every Wednesday at 11 p.m. EST.
