Usher is said to be very hurt over the tragic accident involving his stepson, Kile Glover, over the weekend. The singer has yet to release a statement regarding his 11-year-old being struck by a Jet Ski, but a source revealed that the incident has taken its toll. “He grew close to Kile and, of course, that has nothing to do with the situation with Tameka,” said the source. “He loved Kile. This is a terrible, awful tragedy. Usher is torn up.”
Jeffrey S. Hubbard, a friend of the family has been identified as the driver of the watercraft that hit the boy in the head, leaving him in critical condition. Although doctors have declared him brain dead, he is being kept alive by machines. His mother, Tameka Raymond, stated “He’s bad,” when asked of his status, and (allegedly) posted a statement on Facebook asking for the public’s prayers.
Glover was one of two people hurt in the accident. The second victim, a 15-year-old girl whose identity has not been revealed, was found face down in the water. Both were airlifted to a local hospital, and while an investigation into the matter has been opened, no charges have been filed.
