Timbaland doesn’t want Drake to do an Aaliyah album—unless he and Missy Elliott are involved. The super producer spoke with Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club about the rumor that Drizzy is in talks to executive produce the  album, and was pretty clear about all of the components that need to line up first. “I know they trying to drop some Aaliyah records, but if he do it, it should be with me and him, and Missy.”

Even though the YMCMB rapper allegedly contacted Aaliyah’s estate over plans to make the project, Timbaland revealed that the 25-year-old has yet to reach out to him. “I don’t know what’s going on. The proper way to do that would be for me him and Missy to be all on the record.”

If Drake were to put out an Aaliyah track—which he is rumored to be debuting at the OVO Festival things weekend—  on his own album, Timbo said  the move wouldn’t “be right.”

The music world is still waiting to see if Drake will actually go forward with the release, since he hasn’t confirmed the news, but he just got another tattoo inked on his body as a tribute to his favorite singer.
