The man at the center of the Sesame Street s-x scandal involving Elmo puppeteer Kevin Clash is finally speaking out.

Sheldon Stephens, an aspiring model, opened up about the ordeal in an interview with The Insider.  “I would like to say my name has been unfairly dragged through the media and it made me look like a monster,” the 24-year-old said.

“The whole world reacted in such a negative way and they haven’t really gotten a chance to know who I am and to even ask the right questions to figure out what kind of person I am. Rather, they reacted off of hearsay and rumors and speculation of the whole situation.”

In response to reports that he was paid $125,000 to recant his story, Stephens said the “biggest misconception” about him is that he’s a “liar” and “extortionist.”

Clash maintained his innocence throughout the ordeal, stating that he and Stephens had a relationship “between two consenting adults,” yet the 52-year-old resigned from Sesame Street amid reports of a second accuser and lawsuit.

Cecil Singleton, the second man accusing Clash of wrong-doing held a press conference explaining that he had a “s-xual relationship” with the Maryland native, that was mostly just dry humping.
